David Kikoski Quartet featuring Eric Alexander - “Kayemode Studio Social”

On this April 17, 2021 virtual date for South Florida JAZZ, the hard-swinging pianist Dave Kikoski employs his preferred rhythm section-mates bassist Joe Martin, the splendid, venerable drummer, Billy Hart, while featuring tenor saxophonist Eric Alexander, who has been a South Florida JAZZ favorite for several years, now making his fourth appearance for SFJ. This is truly an all-star band of modern jazz experts. Incidentally "Kayemode" is the state Kikoski gets into when his solos become particularly intense, according to his peers. This is frequently the case with Kikoski's playing.
