- It's a tad late but I was away all weekend. An episode from January 1991 featuring one VERY lucky contestant. Enjoy!
I have a couple more DSW videos which you will see in the coming weeks as well as one more full episode coming in two weeks and I just might do another episode before S43 kicks off.

Kathleen (Kathy) was my best friend. She absolutely LOVED Bob Barker and told me for years she was going to go out to LA (from Tampa) to be on the show. She called me in Tampa after this was filmed and told me what she had won. She had stood in line the day before , but had not been chosen. I picked out her van with her at the local dealership when she got back to Tampa. It was burgundy with beige interior. She drove it proudly with a Price is Right vanity plate in the front!! The man who came up at the end is her boyfriend Bruce. He owned a bar and we had a big viewing party there when this aired. It was so crazy. Sadly, my friend passed away only 10 years after this. I will miss her forever!
Thank you so much for sharing this story Cindy. Kathy is one of my favourite contestants from the show and its so wonderful you got to share in each others lives. Very sorry to hear she passed away.
Cindy, you have my sincerest condolences. I'm sure she was a great individual. She was definitely a great contestant.
I’m so very sad to learn of Kathleen’s passing. Her energy and enthusiasm was incredible. My condolences to you, her other friends and her family.

@"trailblazer91", yes, back on Tuesday, January 28, 1991, "The Price Is Right" game show had Mr. Bob Barker(who's real 1st name's Robert) as its former host just as his previous studio announcer there was late Mr. Robert "Rod" R. Roddy!
1 day before Bud's "Big Win," this was Kathleen's "Big Win" in this episode. She won $5,000 on Punchboard & $11,000 on The Big Wheel, that's $16,000 total, and the many prizes in her showcase for a total of $42,695. 3 decades later, on October 15th, a man (Ralph) did the same thing that Kathleen did, but did a lot better than what Kathleen had won. He too would win $5,000 on Punchboard & $11,000 on The Big Wheel, $16,000 total, however, he became a "Double Showcase Winner", ending up with a difference of $123 (the ARP of his own showcase was: $27,649). He won a total of $84,726, for the taping of the episode.
11:15 - What a difference a suffix makes...LOL
Alex S. Who's Next Rod
Those in red may have been shocked to find that this episode aired 17 days earlier before Valentine's Day.
They were probably wearing red to get picked as contestants since producers also look at what the people are wearing when they pick them.
This is the only episode, in which she has son $5,000 (on Punchboard) & $11,000 (on "The Big Wheel.") Kathleen did it all.
But the very next day, a contestant won a Corvette and his showcase! Big week that week, don't you think?
Kathleen has some showcase showdown wheel-spinning skills!
And she won $16,000 in cash. That's pretty much covered her taxes in the showcase. She should be all right now.
Sure enough!
@@markheying2830 I’ll have to rewatch this.
@@markheying2830 After rewatching this like I promised you earlier, I would have guessed $25,000.
She was one of the bigger cash winners in TPIR history at this point. Plinko was hit for $21K two months earlier(back when $25K was still the top prize)
Kathleen's big wins:
Punch-a-Bunch $5,000 10:54
$1.00 on the wheel (50¢ + 50¢) 17:55
$10,000 Bonus 19:54
Mary looks like Kellie Martin from Life Goes On.
January 28th 1991 is my birthday haha
Bob barker good game
She won a boat, a summer job for her teenaged kid, the van to haul it all, and the cash to pay all the taxes for it! Awesome showcase win.
RIP Bob
trailblazer91 You wouldn't happen to have November 10, 1983's TPIR would you? I just would like to see what happened on my all-time fave game show on the day I was born. If not, it's ok. I was just wondering.
I personally don't have it in my collection but I do know that it's out there in the trading circuit.
Oh cool :) I was just wondering. Thank ya
Including the one bid prizes, The contestants won a grand total of $68,506.
19:54 $10,000
