YES! I was waiting for your reaction. This track is amazing and just felt so epic. I got literal chills especially the solo and after the solo with the harmonizing part. 11/10!!!
You are a very good person, a really good person. If only half the world were like you, people live much better in this world! Thanks for your reactions to Metallica. And remember Metallica is only one and there will be no other band like it in the world! 🙏
"72 Seasons came out of a book I was reading about childhood, basically, and sorting out childhood as an adult. And 72 seasons is basically the first 18 years of your life. How do you evolve and grow and mature and develop your own ideas and identity of self after those first 72 seasons? "Some things are more difficult than others - you know, some things you can't unsee and they're with you for the rest of your life, and other things you're able to rewind the tape and make a new tape in your life. So that's the real interesting part for me, is how you're able to address those situations as an adult and mature." - James Hetfield about the inspiration and meaning of "72 seasons".
According to James Hetfield In the time of your first 18 years of your life, you will go through 72 seasons. So essentially this album is based on the first 18 years of your life or in this case James and his experiences.
I think James said the album is about the first 18 yrs of life (72 seasons) its basically about childhood, James childhood to be specific, all his experiences growing up and how it shaped him, for better or more importantly, for worse.
Thinking about what James said about the 72 Seasons album, I think this particular song is talking about childhood innocence stolen. Feeding the ego and biases if the parents. Feeding on the wrath of man 72 seasons gone
These guys make amazing music. Haters will hate!! It’s not fast enough, Lars don’t play right, Kirks leads aren’t good enough!? Stop it!! When will people learn these guys make what they want and I for one love and appreciate all of it for what it is.
I was one of those teens back in the 80s when metal was thought to be demonic. They never listened to the actual words. They heard what they wanted to hear back then. Those days were called the “satanic panic” lol
Dude, I love your reactions to Metallica! I’ve been Metallica fan since 1986 at the tender age of 11. I’ve seen them live seven times. Living in Australia they don’t come here as often as they should make it into the albums load and reload. I’ll be interested to hear what you think those albums got a lot of hate for no reason. Thanks mate steve from Australia
“Is there a special meaning to the title?” you ask. James explains it best: “72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.”
All these reactors with their mish mash TikTok brainsI've heard react to this alblum say "ReeeeeEEEEeE , too long." Only the intellectual devoid don't have patience for a story to build it's foundation before framing it up....not this 38 yr old who spent 6-10th grade listening to no other band but Metallica, minus my older brother dropping me off at middle school bumpin' DMX & Master P
Worst song from the album so far for me.. love metallica! Listen daily and still will. This song just don't do it. Too simplistic, too long for a song this simplistic. It dosnt build like most their songs do. I'm still waiting for a solid kirk solo. Lux solo was pretty good to me. Seemed raw and unique. If darkness had a son should have been faster.
best song from the album so far for me
I agree, runner up for me would be Screaming Suicide
Great song. 72 Seasons is first 18 years. How the trauma and dysfunction formed you, and to fight against it
How the beauty and power of the talents you have discovered can propel you forward as well
Seattle 89-yeah my man you know your stuff

Hey, Dave, this album is a banger so far ,!,can't wait to see you react to the whole l.p ,by the way, your the #1 reactor
You are a very good person, a really good person. If only half the world were like you, people live much better in this world! Thanks for your reactions to Metallica. And remember Metallica is only one and there will be no other band like it in the world! 🙏
You are so kind! Thank you!

What did you learn in your first 72 seasons?
I've been a fan since 86. I like all their shit. If you don't like this, there is nothing they could put out that you would like
Hey, Dave, this album is a banger so far ,!,can't wait to see you react to the whole l.p ,byth evbbb
this album these guys know how they want their music to sound and this masterpiece im going to buy it
Great reaction as always man! Except for “weather man” omg I was dying! 😂
I love "There's breathing out but not back in". Such a coool line
According to James Hetfield

First 18 years of someone's life
7:43 - Wrath of man - he says it as a clear final lyric in the song.
I love watching your reaction videos, so much positivity. Looking forward to watch your review when the album comes out!
James said it’s about the first 18 years of life. I think specifically hit. 🔥
great album opening song
as welcome to Metallica field

I love your Stink face when Kirk's solo came in! ❤️
It’s just hilarious-no metal fan would dislike this

Feeding on the wrath of man
72 seasons gone

Exactly True friend
awesome analysis.
great reaction video Dave!
thanks for sharing the moment.
Weather man got me smiling :) You're good, I don't understand half the things until I see the lyrics
Wrath of Man
James did an explanation on 72 seasons' meaning not too long ago.
METALLICA RULES 🤘🔊🎸
The very beginning bass notes sound straight from pulp fiction before the theme goes up the scale
Jason did it on Garage Inc.
It's supposed to represent the first 18 years of life. There's a longer story, that's just the condensed version.
I researched it in the video haha.
@@whatitdodave lol I commented before finishing

awesome song, and GREAT analysis. also, your voice is so soothing!

I hear "wrath of man" but maybe that's me?
James is actually saying "Feeding on the wrath of man" not weatherman.
I put a text above after I said weatherman for the first time. And I figured it out in the video near the end. But thanks homie.
4 seasons a year x 18 years. It’s about the first 18 years that form you. That’s the concept of the album.
he's saying wrath of man
I wonder if Jason will appear on the album?
You got a great voice
Hey Dave, I posted James explaining what 72 Seasons meaning is.
I think it would’ve been cooler if they dropped this song first instead of Lux aeterna
Weatherman 😂
Hello, plis plis review:
Welcome to the DCC- Nothing But Thieves.
After Dark- Mr. Kitty.
Plis plis, saludos desde 🇲🇽
😅😅 LOL
Btw losers been hating on Metallica since the black album-and they don’t give a f
Great intro, good song, just a bit too long .

Generic diet thrash, there are much better tracks on Load!!
Aged gracefully considering they're borrowing riffs and ideas from 2016s hardwired.
And?

Hamett has become the weak link. Still good but lacking in speed and aggressive attitude.
