Awesome story! You’re content is friggin awesome. I live in Indian lake NY and drive truck for a living and I find myself looking for another podcast daily. Keep em comin fellas
Great hunt. Congratulations. Makes it better with a buddy to get in on it. My once in a lifetime was in 2020. 5 bucks came by at first light, shot the 2 biggest. One 8pt. and a big fork. Buddy was with me, he was 2 minutes away. Great day. Blessed. Thanks for your story.
👍fun nice!!! Great you have it on film!!!! me and some friends have been trying to do some filming. I seem to kill my deer by myself with dead batteries or all you see is my arm😂lol
Great hunt!! I did the same thing two years ago. Hit one buck followed him till dark. Came back the next day picked the track up 3 miles later killed him and another good buck that met up with him.
Nice job and great video. If that had been northern Michigan you would’ve tracked to five or six bait piles and the buck would’ve been a spike horn. 😢And unfortunately, you would’ve seen a wolf or three. Then when you’re all done, you have to report the location killed to big brother government. That helps them manage the deer herd (or what’s left of it). 😂
@@northwoodswhitetails9850 most of us UP hunters say absolutely yes. Our DNR however blames everything BUT wolves. I hunted the UP every year since 1989. I’ve taken some nice bucks stalking and tracking. We sold our camp this year and I won’t be hunting the UP again unless things get a whole lot better than they are now. The herd in the western UP has been hit hard but the eastern UP herd has really been damaged. I hunted mostly the eastern side and it isn’t worth the effort any longer. When I first started hunting in the UP I could drive logging roads and look for tracks and could even be somewhat picky on buck tracks. Now, the only thing out there in many areas were me, the blue jays, ravens, wolves and coyotes with an occasional fawn-less doe. Most of the does in the areas I hunted lose their fawns to predation not long after they’re born. I have dozens of trail cam pictures to prove it too. Sad.
@@michiganman5341 I’m sorry to hear that, that’s a tough pill to swallow due to the wolves. The UP is somewhere we have always wanted to come hunt but it sounds like maybe we better not unless things change with the wolves. I’ve heard the same thing about northern MN now… we used to hunt western Ontario- same situation as well.. wolves moved in and it didn’t take long with a couple hard winters in the mix to wreck the deer herd. You should come out to the north east, plenty of room to roam and no wolves.
@@northwoodswhitetails9850ive even heard the northern part of maine is getting less and less deer too. Same as here in Vermont compared to the 90s an early 2000s 😢
Great hunt, I think. That was by far the worst video job I’ve ever attempted to watch, I now have vertigo and possibly lose of vision.. Please start writing articles instead of videos.
We apologize for the poor filming, it came from the gentlemen who harvested the buck but the story was too good to not try and restore! Thanks for watching!

That’s crazy! Have the wolves really taken a toll on the deer herd in the UP?

@@northwoodswhitetails9850 definitely thinking about coming to the Northeast and giving it a try. Bucket list thing probably.

Perfect example of what happens when you are not patient and what not to do with a wounded deer.
Obviously you haven’t hunted the way these guys do!
camera work terrible
put a warning label so people with motion sickness take a Dramamine before watching this vid... they gonna get Seasick watching it
Welcome to the twilight zone.
What’s non typical about the deer
Damn you guys are not very good shots!!

This is two hunters who captured their hunt, first time ever doing so. Trial and error, we all been there. Pretty awesome story just the same.
