I saw Bruce And The E - Street Band in 1985 in Frankfurt Germany and it was the best show I ever seen in my life and I saw many shows of many artists~Mindblowin~Exellent 🔝🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Sad that he ignores this song nowadays. I can still hear it ringing in my subconcious mind from the Wembley concerts from 1985. It's hard however to believe those concerts were 27 summers ago!!!
The times are tough now, just getting tougher This old world is rough, it's just getting rougher Cover me, come on baby, cover me Well I'm looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me Promise me baby you won't let them find us Hold me in your arms, let's let our love blind us Cover me, shut the door and cover me Well I'm looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me Outside's the rain, the driving snow I can hear the wild wind blowing Turn out the light, bolt the door I ain't going out there no more This whole world is out there just trying to score I've seen enough I don't want to see any more, Cover me, come on and cover me I'm looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me Looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me
I was just born 8 days before this was performed, but Bruce must have been a hugely refreshing change from the Europop and synthesizers that dominated music at the time...
It's hard to imagine Diana Ross doing this song, and impossible to imagine her doing it ANY BETTER. Such a classic. I love the intro riff, and the guitar work throughout, really.
I agree, you never hear this song being referred to as one of his best. For me this is one of my 5 favorites from him. It's all about preference I guess, but most everything he does is great.
The boss was and still is a born performer. Proper artist with proper music and real talent. Not like this one direction bieber tripe. And he's a nice guy as well, not in your face or full if himself about anything despite his amazing vocals and guitar playing and so on. One of few musicians then who is actually an equally brilliant role model as they are artists. Fan-fucking-tastic!
@moorso72 if you ask about one song - it would be Born in the USA (and i am not saying this because i am an American - i am saying this because Born in the USA talks about the horrors of war, something most of my fellow citizens fail to understand.) As for Cover Me, its special its romantic, and therefore, definitely one of my top 5 hits ever !
He wrote this song for Donna Summer because he was an admirer and thought the anti-disco sentiment was racist and harming her career (she did win best female ROCK perfomance for HOT STUFF); but he recorded it himself and wrote PROTECTION for Donna Summer instead, and Bruce sings/plays guitar on that song.
So so good. Sorry i'm a busy busy man but I don't think this is all from the same user? is there any chance of gettin this gig all together? It is one of my favourites to watch, absolutely amazin!
My parents played this music and now I have my own appreciation of it...

One of my favorite Boss songs from the 1980s. Love the intro to the live version, too.

Rob Renz Not often. But the ones he does, he rips
He is a real artist. None of this fake crap!
Yes, try Hey You by Floyd
A young Max Weinberg on the drum kit!
Bruce wrote this song for Donna Summer & Jon Landau heard it & said no way were keeping it,thats why Jon landau gets the big bucks & bruce's er.
