My parents took me to this twice. I was 5 and it was at MSG and Garden State Arts Center. It blew me away. I asked for a keyboard scarf for xmas. I got it, still have it. I used to force my granparents to put this concert video on and I would set up snack tables around me and ould try my best Wakeman. For the entire video. I've been a musician for decades. Thank you for everything since my earliest memories.
After all the Yes drama that was going on this was such a great treat.
Bill Bruford is my favorite drummer. Such great creativity. Love the guy.
actually listened to this on my car on the way to work
Bruford always cuts right through. He is absolutely incredible!
The one thing I wish I could forget about the 80's is the clothes.... what were we thinking?

Grande abbraccio da Roma
Tutti squisiti dalla musica 🎸
I saw this tour when you all came to Ottawa, Ontario in the 80's. Was an absolutely fantastic show.
Brother of Mine and The Meeting are two of the best pieces of music ever committed to disc.
Birthright too.
My first concert! Sept 5, 1989 the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa (RIP). Just a fantastic experience for me as a young YES fan. It's still a REALLY good concert!
Bruford moving about mirrors the entrance of the drum kit in Stop Making Sense..kinda...well it made me think about it
i saw them live in february 1990 in Madrid, what a fabulous concert, with Tony Levin on bass guitar.
I was at this show in NJ!!! Always a fantastic performance!!!
How I wish I could have seen Yes in the day. Such magic! They were like five rivers that converge into an ocean of musical mastery.
One, perhaps the only, good reason to be (almost) 66…….😂😂
@@jonmccormick602 Same age here. My first show was Topo early in 74 at Cobo Hall in Detroit. I have seen yes 16 times since then.
@@rbevans4581 👍being an old Brit, I managed to see the Fragile tour in 1971 (I was 14….lordy, so long ago!) at The Royal Festival Hall in London. Never saw the Peter Banks/ Tony Kaye line-up, but did see Kaye years later on the Union tour at Wembley. Such music, such wonderful memories😀
@@jonmccormick602 I'm 56..I just missed the boat
@@jonmccormick602 Wow! Well, it was Howe's induction into the group that made Fragile what it is. But, I imagine you got to hear Heart of the Sunrise at the time of its creation. That is priceless.
saw Rick in 1984 in Lisbon Coliseu dos Recreios...top concert, still have all the tickets.
Classic Yes period! I personally wish ABWH would have released their 2nd album, instead of incorporating those tracks on the UNION album. And "Yes" I ordered this box set today. Can't wait to reminiscence with this classic music. My personal favorite live recording of "All Good People". Cheers!
What a great tour and album. I remember it well
and Rick you re the best ever.
One of the Last bastions of true talent
Saw this tour four times. Epic shows !!!
Oh YES !!! --- Thank you for sharing ! 👍✌
That was a fantastic tour!
Jeff Berlin rocks!!!
Эх, сейчас бы такие команды!!! Заебали своей войной и политикой! Вот пример супергруппы. Сейчас так сложно даже и не мыслят. Какая невероятная слаженность и чувство друг- друга. Запредельное мастерство!!!
I really enjoyed this tour. Thanks Rick.
Wonderful!
In my top 5 shows!!! Ah the memories... At the Agora in Quebec city!
Magical.
long live progressive rock !!!
Awesome !!!
Can I just say - because I'm 66 and, like Rick, old enough to know and realize and complain about it LOUDLY when bits of my body that I enjoyed as a youth go all wonky in old age - that the black text on red page that link lands at is impossible to read and, whoever designed it should be played alive for inflicting it onto this poor benighted world and making my eyesight feel like it's had sand shovelled into it - the music, however, was great as always.
I bought the pay for view concert saw it live and recorded it on VHS
I saw that concert in Rome. Tony Levin was on bass, then.
Ah, Bill Bruford and those parachute pants. After the show he rescued the princess from the evil pasha, wielding a scimitar.
Also, I want Steve's fat-body Gibson guitar. Such a sweet sound.
One of the greatest drummers on Earth!❤
The best of the best of the best 🎶💗😎 who’s on base
Excellent! True Geniuses of progressive music!
Why were the supporting musicians hardly shown in the entire video?
Bill doing his Jamie Muir
I miss Chris.
SIN PALABRAS A SUPER GRUPO QUÉ AMO UN CHINGO EXELENTE 10, 100, 1000 Y MÁS EN CALIDAD Y EN COMPOSICIÓN DE MÚSICA 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rick, I hope you're not done playing yes music with the guys. Please let us know in a g o r r if there's any plans for anything. You guys are all we have left.
When was this performance? and why is Chris Squire not part of the band at this time?
It's 1990 circa. To make a long story (very) short: they had split into two bands, this is why this particular group couldn't use the name YES.
Cool, how often do they try to copyright strike you with your own stuff? :-)
Jeff Berlin was a great bass player, but try as he might he couldn't kick this music off the ground like Chris Squire.
love there music but to many heads up to many backsides.
La lista es completamente al modo de justo de los gringos. Excepto por los Beatles, lo demás está muy amañado y muy sonso. No corresponde al gusto mundial.
The worst thing Bill ever did was use those awful electronic drums. They have come a long way since then.
Jeff Berlin on bass was filling in for Tony Levin who had become ill during the tour. Berlin had about a week to learn the entire repertoire and be ready to perform live. Pretty amazing achievement. Ya, this would have been a great tour to see these guys really showcasing everything they got.
Memories. Some of the most interesting and complex music I have ever heard. I have probably heard every Yes song at least a hundred times or more over the years.
I remember watching this band. They put on a good show....
Saw "Yes" last week and Howe was the only original. Just not the same without the others. Wasn't a great concert. A couple years ago was ARW. Much better concert. Yes is now Maybe. :)
Howe is not original
@@Magnetron33 He was close enough.
@@tixximmi1 You are correct! He was part of the classic lineup and had the most guitar output of any of the 4 guitarists. (Billy Sherwood on 2nd guitar late 90s early 2000s).
@@Magnetron33 Yeah, the classic lineup fits him properly.
@@tixximmi1 absolutely. The most recognized and technically most advanced The best players of any configuration.
They are all so bold, but those drum parts were downright brave!
Ordered! Sounds like the audio quality I’ve wanted with Rick and Jon for a very long time! Bravo and Thank You, Mr Wakeman! ❤❤
Well done to all those good people that stayed awake through an electronic drum solo 😃
🤣
I still think they should have been called ABLWH, since Tony Levin's contributions are at the core of the studio album, in my opinion. I can't imagine Brother Of Mine without his Stick driving the whole song. It's a shame he was ill for the gig that was recorded, though Jeff Berlin was one of the few bassists around who could sub such a demanding gig at short notice.
Hmm, to think we are still blessed to have these guys in the world now, more Yes than Yes!. Get Bill out of retirement, Steve in amongst his classic Yes mates and get the gang back together again!
I was so upset when I originally bought this album because it was released some months later with an extra track . . . and on gold CDs no less! And cheaper! Needless to say, I bought the second release. I wouldn't mind having this for sure, but I think it might have to wait a few months.
With the amazing Tony Levin and his claws! The year I entered college. Good souvenir, great show. I think that's the time we got an "extra encore" in Montréal.
Actually this was played by Jeff Berlin if I remember correctly Tony couldn't do the tour and Jeff had a week to learn all the songs. Jeff is a legend on his own and you have to give him props for stepping in.
@@FilipCordas I didn't look who played on this specific recording... I do remember Tony right in front of me though!
bass player? Jeff Berlin? simmons drums... the worst thing that happened to yes!
Saw ABWH live 1990, portland, great show!
Bruford infinitely better on a 4 piece kit with three cymbals.
August 1989 Santa Clara amphitheater, I was there
Music masterfully executed and Jon Anderson’s beautiful singing. Just wonderful. Saw these guys in ‘89. Belly up to the stage outdoors in Manchester, NH on a glorious summer evening. Wonderful memory!
I love Jeff Berlin but his style is not suited to Yes. Granted he had like one day to rehearse.
Superb and the best since 1980
Ordered, and will be reliving a wonderful time ❤️❤️❤️
Brufords snare beat on LDR is off
awesome !!! thank you Rick. rock on bro 🤟🤟🎹🎹🎹🎹
This was a fantastic Tour in 1988. They were playing so enthusiastic and fresh... I was blown away
Same. I saw the tour in Toronto. I saw Yes with many different players but this grouping sounded to me, like the most album authentic YES I ever saw.
what year did this happen?
A collection of some of the best Yes live recordings ❤️ I love listening to this album
Love ❤YES ❤❤
Вокал от бога !
Brilliant
Saw ABWH in Spokane Wa...Magnificent show! Afterwards a bunch of us fans hung around the Opera House's stage exit and I was lucky enough to get Jon's autograph and shake hands with Rick, they were very gracious!... Howe, on the other hand rushed by us all and dove into his limo and sped off... whatever, ...
My favorite Yes show for the older stuff by a mile, sound quality and excitement they had revisiting the past for the very first time probably have a lot to do with it. Jeff Berlin helped a lot, huge Levin fan but Jeff knew the material a hundred times more and gave a much more traditional performance.
I love Tony Levin! Still prefer Squire's touch and tone for Yes material, though.
Is this a remixed version or a repackaging of the 2 CDs that I bought when originally sold many years ago?
I was at this show at the Shoreline. Recorded the simulcast on VHS, bought the DVD several years ago. Need to dig it out!
When I saw them on this tour it was Tony Levin (of King Crimson) on bass/stick. Great show.
Through the darkest Age we can surely fly.
Fantastic
Looking forward to seeing the box set
Great video! Love It Forever! Unforgettable!

No camera love for Jeff Berlin?
yes, the bassist is frequently excluded from camera coverage. John Paul Jones, John Entwistle etc. shame.
Forgive me, but I could never quite warm up to the ABWH album even though Tony Levin is an incredible bassist- Chris Squire is simply fundamental to the sound of Yes- although this sounds quite good here/ but it's Yes music !!!###
Sorry but without Squire it's just not the real YES.
Oh Gawd not that old chestnut!
