One thing about his numbers, if you look at just the last 21 games since he moved to play center, he shots over 50% from the field and almost 40% from 3.
The SCARIEST thing about Wemby is that if you watch the games, you can actually see him improving from game to game. The speed in which he learns and adapt is truly insane.

Some of his blocks should count as a both a block AND a steal. He literally grabs the ball out the shooter hands sometimes.
They actually count as a block and a rebound ( I think)
that counts as a rebound as well. Every time a player blocks another player and managed to grab the ball immediately, it will count as a block and a rebound.
Having never played nor been a fan of basketball my entire life, I have no place to judge but I can tell you this dude has given me something to look forward to every second day: watch him play, and get to appreciate the NBA.

Because of his height. Almost all players over 7'4 struggle with injury.
i suspect the spurs will try to muscle him up in the off season the next couple years. Thin big men take a huge beating because that is about the only defensive technique that has a chance of working against them. I sure hope he survives the assassins in the league. He should be glad Lambier doesn't suit up anymore.
I hope that they don't muscle him up too much and he loses his flexibility and agility that already make him the best defensive player in the league in just his rookie year. @@cdjhyoung

Fantastic pass by Vassel to Wemby. Very similar to a spectacular behind-the-back pass earlier in the season that Wemby made to Vassel from under the basket for a 3-point attempt, which unfortunately .missed.

I love the fact that people are saying "unreal", and this kid is nothing compared to Wilt. Can you imagine what it would have been like in 1959, to see a rookie Wilt score 37 points a game, with 27 rebounds? This kid is awesome, and will be a force for years, but please don't act like it's nothing we have ever seen before.

Once Wemby gets a bit more weight/strength and the game slows down a bit for him I don't think he's really guardable.
If he doesn't rush his shot, he is a pretty good 3pt. shooter already. I can almost always tell by his release whether it is going in.
He can handle, his passing is underrated and will come to the forefront eventually because he will be triple-teamed often, and around the basket he finishes ambidextrously.
At that point, it will be just picking your poison, much like Jokic. Defend one aspect well, he'll beat you with another.

You can't expect victories from a tanking team which has the younger roster of the league. Pop sabotaged a nice pack of games on purpose, beginning with the "Sochan experiment" or puting the bench on the field in 4th quarters. They want another top pick and they will have it. Their record is meaningless : victories will come next year with two good picks and a traded PG.
