- Vivek Ramaswamy, Executive Chairman of Roivant Sciences and author of Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam, joins The Realignment to debate whether companies should take stands on issues like Black Lives Matter, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other political issues, the social contract between corporations and the public, and the role of identity in a hyper-polarized America.

I could have listened to Vivek speak about these topics for another 12 hours. Absolutely fantastic podcast!!
Really great discussion. Going to buy his book now. Thanks for hosting him guys!
OMG! VIVEK! We went to grade school together. I beat you in the Evendale Elementary APT Chess tournament in 4th or 5th grade. I'M TANGENTIALLY FAMOUS! Truly pleased to see you doing well. I'm glad I got to hear you speak and heard about your book. I'll give it a read.
This is legit one of the funniest responses we've gotten
This guy is great, so clear minded and eloquent. Can't believe I never heard him speak before for all the similar contents I follow. Love him.
You forgot Clean and Well Mannerd.......................
I really like this guy. We need more patriotic Americans like him in the board rooms and positions of leadership.
Hes already Lying about President Trump, so hes a loser
One of your best guests. Great conversation.
I like Vivek Ramaswamy...but you guys need to get Michael Malice on the show
I cannot take Micheal Malice seriously.
Smart dude, but anarchy is cringe.
Woke is Cringier
Great guest. Deep thoughts. Theory vs reality is a bitch

Wonderful guest.
As I was climbed the social ladder, I realized conversations got more and more shallow. It's my understanding the suicide rate is the same amongst the general population and the billionaires. Which is just the saddest thing about this whole mess.
If humanity just all worked together, we'd have so much more cool stuff and I want a teleporter.
His move back to Ohio seems like the first step in a run for political office. Would love to see this guy in politics (even though we probably don’t agree on everything).
This man is too good for Ohio politics.
@@kazahani Maybe he can raise the tide
Damn, called it lol
@@fullmetalchamploo yes, but I changed my mind. his campaign is incredibly divisive and toxic
I really like Vivek, he’s got some great ideas.
Who else is here to see more after the mini segment on BP 🥰
Also - Marshall you are great in your own ways, for your own reasons. Always love hearing your input 😊
I heard “Libertarian” and saw Saagar cross his arms in skepticism
Worth it for the section 230 snippet alone
I’m liking this guy!
I came back to listen to this after seeing Vivek pondering a 2024 presidential run. I was impressed.
"I'm just mad that they're not doing what I want."
Based and selfawarenesspilled
I'm reading the book, cause I want to understand what's going on. In many ways companies are doing social good as a front to posture that there being do gooders. I started thinking about shopping at say Panda Express or Walgreens and at the counter , they ask if you want to give your change to charity. Sure. Than at the end of the year the company brags about how they raised all of this money for charity , when it was the customer that actually gives the donations.
Awesome guest, this guy is brave. Great views too.
Loved the episode, definitely look forward to hearing more of vivek's ideas.
your sneaky clips in breaking points worked. damn you!
There’s a system. I hope you keep on checking out our other stuff 😄
This guy is great! Happy to be turned on to him. He's addressing the nuts and bolts intentionality at the intersection of law & culture in the long-term, as opposed to the popular short, towards course correcting what appears to be the beginning of the end, of an empire.
"A shirt is just a shirt". Nah son, Saagar hard rocking that Supreme! Great talk overall.
I am a factory worker in Australia, I have to self censor. I lost a previous job for discussing the reproductive behaviour of an octopus using scientific language.
This is not even close to only an "Elite" problem.
Enjoyed hearing from your guest today. Thanks for a great discussion. Kudos from a boomer.
Vivek 2024!
first time watching a Realignment episode. Came straight here after I heard the segment with Vivek posted on Breaking Points today.
Any of you guys have any favorite episodes or guests you recommend? I'm gonna check out more
You should check out Frank DiStefano Parts I and II, George Packer, and Eric Weinstein in January to get the show's general vibes.
Lot's of episodes though. What topics are you interested in?
Yuri Bezmenov would say that this is the part where the "Useful Idiots" take over and do the rest. This playbook is old.
He had me right up until he snuck "flat tax" in there at the end. Otherwise, a sharp guest. Universal civic service idea: every school/college should require community service as a condition of graduation?
My public high school district had a community service requirement for graduation (it wasn't much but it was something)
Doing well while doing good is a phrase I've heard. I think it's a terrible idea, but I've heard it often in certain settings
good video. do more like this one.
Thanks for highlighting this system flaw Vivek. Saagar since you drew attention to your flag, please rotate it for stars on top.
yes...always blue to the top & left...
top notch
"A shirt is just a shirt." Patagonia, Benneton or Benetton, and The Gap (does it stil exist? I'm in Fly Over country, so that stuff doesn't exist around me) did their best to upset that.
It is bad policy to regulate everything... where things may better regulate themselves and can be better promoted by private exertions; but it is no less bad policy to let those things alone which can only be promoted by interfering social power.
-Friedrich List
Man, maybe have Vivek as a host from time to time
👍
For sure get this guy on Rogan
Money is the power as proven by how it affects the U.S. laws being made by corporate america influencing the senate. I think that it only makes sense that the individual voting on morality with their wallet is a reasonable thing and just because people are more self-aware now doesn't mean that it's bad. I would have liked to see Vivek's point of view on the gamestop to the moon event.
51:20 Saagar teasing the microphone 💀💀
SAGAR!!!!!! Ty Algorithm!!!!!!!!
What about the lower income folks who supported the nike brand for years - prior to their development of their $100+ shoes - that no longer buy nike products?
Nobody with a name like Ramaswamy, will NOT win any state in the primaries and so no chance at all.
Hey Saagar, your estimate is still low. Top 20% own more like 75% of wealth in the US.
And very few are buying nike's lol
Sheesh, he wants wealth distribution, it's actually rather frightening.
Agree with the sentiment of 1$ = 1 vote for capitalism, and 1 person = 1 vote for democracy, but I wonder what his stance on corporate money in politics is. Money in politics perverts democracy and affords certain groups in society more power and votes than others. This reality disagrees with the sentiment of 1 person = 1 vote.
(I don't see a pre-order link in the notes)
Big fan but I found the hosts naive here.
Saagar wants corporate entities to engage in correct politics and be rewarded for it because he imagines that the correct politics might align with his own idea of what that is.
It won't dude. You will find yourself increasingly marginalized, and it will never stop.
You spoke of the difference in size between "progressive" Starbucks and "conservative" Black Rifle Coffee...that will be as good as it ever gets for Conservatives. Soon Black Rifle will be forced into the same bs performative wokeness as Starbucks or they will disappear. Bet on it. (Prediction- watch for this around the upcoming show trial for Kyle Rittenhouse)
You should be fully endorsing this 'virtue of separation' that your guest is articulating.
His wife must be flattered to be so tangible.
Abolishing summer break... that'll be popular 😅. Honestly, good for the Teacher's unions man. We do need to put more funding toward summer camps and extracurricular actvities for sure though. Adults should have a couple months (several weeks) off of paid leave per year like the trade unions in most European countries were successful in achieving.
Is this corporate libertarianism? Just give people more information about who is partnering with the CCP? There is so much noise the cognitive load to sense making is already too high, and the result is a mess as Vivek acknowledges. Not to mention that marketing and sales is nearly misleading-by-definition.
Haha ok my guess was spot on there it is “I’m no longer libertarian”, this makes more sense. What is this, it’s the moral failure of the individuals but not the moral failure of the corporation? He’s nearly suggesting that if only Millennials found God everything would be fine… instead of talking about economists, talk about the prophet of shareholder capitalism Jack Welch, whose practices still dominate all listed companies today…
Seriously someone please correct me.
Bet he would care if we took all his stuff.
Nothing wrong with him being a right wing libertarian, but then it is kinda disingenuous & opportunist to put 'class traitor' in your book blurb. I was glad to see Malcolm try to get him to justify that claim in concrete terms, which he was not able to do.
Dude it's Marshall
