Hillsdale College is an independent institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific, [and] theological education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” As a nonsectarian Christian institution, Hillsdale College maintains “by precept and example” the immemorial teachings and practices of the Christian faith.
The College also considers itself a trustee of our Western philosophical and theological inheritance tracing to Athens and Jerusalem, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law.
By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.

This man is a breath of fresh air. Degrees in molecular biology and law, hedge fund manager who then set up a biotech business and an investment business, intelligent, hard-working, articulate, high moral values and he has a vision. An outstanding young candidate. If he cannot get the nomination for 2024, then he must try again in 2028 and 2032. He would run rings around the other candidates in debates. Let's hope he stays safe. America and the world face so many challenges now, this is the calibre of man that is needed to lead the western democracies (which of course aren't very democratic any more). Wishing him every success. From a fan in the UK.

One of the qualities I admire most in a person, and especially a person who is running for elected office, is being a GREAT speaker. Great speakers need no teleprompters, nor multiple pages of notes to read from. Great speakers need no cues from which to speak because they SPEAK FROM THE HEART. When you're speaking from the heart, the mind is not burdened with trying to remember what you're going to say, or what order to say it in.
I get the impression that Vivek Ramaswamy is definitely speaking from his heart, and I think he is a GREAT speaker, and an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to.
The last time I saw a speaker this effective, was (unfortunately) bill clinton, and before him, Ronald Reagan.Brilliant speech from a remarkably talented speaker. So far, Vivek Ramaswamy has my vote for POTUS 2024, hands down.

He's a very good speaker. I get it. He's fighting for America's soul and identity. He diagnosed a lot of the partisan divisions correctly. There's an imbalance in our society where the binary thinking of Oppressor vs Oppressed permeates nearly every dialogue. I don't agree with all of his positions but I applaud his effort. There is a hunger for an outsider to shake things up in favor for the Common Citizen. Trump tried but didn't drain the swamp. He filled it with his own stooges. Culturally he won plenty hearts and minds but majority of Americans still live paycheck to paycheck and most have no emergency funds. Citizens continue to face bankruptcy when faced with a large medical bill. No Medicare4All. Scarcity prevails. Vivek's answer to deal with the erosion of our safety nets is "economic growth" and no increase in payroll taxes to keep it buoyant. Work, work, work, work-life balance be damned. When politicians don't want to deal with class issues, they engage in culture wars. Divide and conquer. I can't vote for Vivek for president. He's no FDR. Not even Henry Wallace. I can vote for Vivek for Senate or Representative. He would do better there than the White House.

An Indian leading Britain. An Indian potentially president of the USA … h’m.
The satanic Woke also work in mysterious ways, it seems.
Why are there no dynamic white leaders arising, or on the horizon all of a sudden ?
      Don’t dismiss this, think.
      I’m black, btw.
The Woke are the the endtime antichrist movement, the 666. And the ones they are most desirous of subduing are Christians … and white Christians are the most powerful, so they seem to be striking at their confidence through both blunt and finesse ways. This tearing up of non Caucasian prominents seem to be of the latter type.
      I’m pretty convinced of that.
The Woke are not going to be defeated but by the Lord’s Second Coming. Prophecy states that.
Wish you all the best 💚🙂

Vivek's commitment to eliminate the Department of Education
and to look closely at a laundry list of other things the federal
government does with a goal of eliminating many of them caused
this thought to enter my head:
As he fleshes out these ideas during his campaign, I would like
for him to write another book. He has the solid credentials to
write a book that covers in great detail everything the federal
government does that is not authorized in the Constitution.
If anyone has already written such a book, I have not been able
    to find it.
If that book gets written, I will buy it and make gifts of it to my
friends and family. Furthermore, if wishing could make it so, then
high schoolers would have to master this book in order to graduate.

Oh, wow...this wouldn't go over in all but a handful of universities in America these days. I hear a lot of people brave enough to speak of these things but no one seems able to put these ideas into action. Will enough people agree and force change? It depends upon how bad things get for each individual in the coming years. It will be an interesting decade to come no doubt.

    • @paigemccormick6519
      @paigemccormick6519 Год назад +1

I agree that the individual is the best single definition of sovereignty, but the "unum-ness" of common principles and culture carries a nation. So, I don't think we can depend solely on each individual. We need broad inclusion (the old, liberal kind; not the new woke kind) to make a nation as provided in the constitution.
It may be the individuals who seek the "liberation" from national and social constraints, such as lawfulness and responsibility, who currently have the "authority," but I find their bent for constitutional destruction to be emotional, mob-like, and ignorant of the consequences.
