- Legendary guitarist and musical director Gerry Leonard chats to Brigid Boden about his days with David Bowie and gives us a behind the scenes account of his incredible journey working with one of the greatest artists of all time.
_Heathen_ is amazing and so is Gerry! If you've ever seen a video of him playing the title track from that album live... remarkable musician.
I had the pleasure of seeing the Heathen tour a few times. "Sunday" was exceptional.
Thank You, mr. Gerry!!! You are a great musician!!! Respect!!! 👍👍👍
What a lovely gentleman.
Just so straightforward. Great to hear you, sir!
Bowie and his musicians really shone around each other. Gerry seems to be behind most of my favourite Bowie guitar lines: Sunday, Stars are out tonight, the revival of Loving the Alien...
what was the show Gerry was referring to ?? :)
@@vadimislearningguitar4977 when he was talking about opening with the guitar loops? It was the heathen tour, and the song was Sunday. You can find great versions of him playing Sunday on youtube.
@@VisionaryofMirage Ahh ok thanks a lot

I adore Heathen The Rays 💜♥️💜
Hi 👋👋 Can someone write me a phrase from this interview? So I can translate it into spanish. I admire Gerry but I don't understand the spoken english ..... Thank you very much ..... Greetings from Spain 😃😃 BowieForever 💜
"Let everybody be"
Perhaps he was joking Jerry.
I heard Bowie say ,"don't fuck up!" in a joking way to the band before a Tin Machine gig.
Could've been catchphrase.
Where? There's some video of it?
@ yes , i bought the vhs of the gig from hmv back in the day.

Yes! I just saw. Well, it is a serious joke (Bowie a bit nervous) like when actors are about to enter the scene.
Thanks Irishman..!!
