    qUESTION: For the time, wouldn't it be 1329 because it is daytime instead of (0129 the sun is not out that time) and as such the corresponding GHA would be 11 degree 27.3minutes??????

    • @sailorguide
      @sailorguide  11 месяцев назад

      Fir calculation we always take UTC time not the local time . So the time mention in GPS will be taken for calculation as mentioned in the video

      Okay thanks for the clarity. So basically the LMT at that time was 1042... Hence why the true bearing of the sun was SE ?

    What would happen if the value of A becomes negative. If it comes negative are we able to remove the negative sign by just naming oppositely or do we need to just ignore the negative sign?

    Question, the "P" value, do you also apply the LhA rule on a Star observation, where 360-LHA if the LHa is more than 180? Also can you explain more about the correct naming of magnetic error, for example when they are same name as the Variation, when you are trying to get the Deviation?thank you

    • @sailorguide

      Yes LHA rule will be applicable to there also . Nd naming of the Deviation is very simple i showed in video also . Please do check out that one again because explaining it here will be a bit difficult

    • @sailorguide
      @sailorguide  Год назад +3

      Compass error is important for navigation point of view ... If we have a compass error of more than 5 degrees we need to request for the service for magnetic compass. Service engineer actually changes the magnetic bars inside the magnetic compass to adjust the error

      @@mdganesh5764 because Gyro error is independent of the magnetic field of the earth.. magnetic compass variation and deviation is the factors for Error , whereas Variation and Deviation we always mention in East or west.

    • @sailorguide
