I discovered Angelina when she was 12, so these songs were her "recent" ones at the time. A Million Years Ago was my 1st AJ Favorite & it held that place almost 2 years until she sang Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT-C. Age 10 was a milestone year for Angelina when she attained a full (100%) adult voice, but age 12 was also a milestone since she had refined that adult voice to an instrument of vocal art. When I introduce someone to Angelina, I prefer showing them 1 or 2 stellar performances from each year from 8-17, so they can see her mature.
I wholeheartedly agree, Keith.. She was amazing from 7 to present and it's very informative to see the rapid progression each year along the way. I actually think age 10 was her "maturing" age vocally, but we all have our own opinions.

Aloha BigAngieFan you are so right - many people have no idea how many different Angelina songs there are. For me I’ve listened to about 100 🥇songs and I listen to Angelina everyday.
The "Ivan Era" is certainly a well-defined piece of her life and, as you mentioned, wonderfully displays a wide range of the qualities that show who she is. Also, that period has many performances that elicit that often-reported dissonance we experience when watching this child do things which can, in our experience, only be accomplished by a professional adult. Well done.
The Ivan videos certainly make a great playlist. Angelina was 12 for each of those videos. I would add her 2018 concert at Kongsberg to round out that incredible year for Angelina.
That would be a great addition! Also very good quality recording, and working with a good band and showing her genre range to the max. I live that video so much
Great video;) I think most us of have the problem of how to introduce someone to Angelina. Where do you start? I thinks it's an impossible task! You want to show her start, but also where she is, has been, and what she's about. With roughly 200 vids, no misses, it overwhelming. No matter how many you select, you feel as though you are short changing her. I've tried to introduce her, but it's hard to knock it down to even 30 vids, I just keep sending more, this is her young, this is 10 years old, 12, 13........, this is live, this is from tv, this is an interview, this is a tik tok, and the list goes on. I kind of think the best way to introduce Angelina depends on who you are introducing to. As difficult as that is, the good thing is that you can't go wrong;) You can jump all over, go from young to recent, or recent to young. At all stages, her voice hypnotizes you.

The "Ivan" videos are a great choice. I'd love to see them put out as an accoustic album one day. I'd love to see her produce an "AJ live in concert" album with a good professional recording. The one that exists on her channel is another excellent intro to her versatility in itself. So much of her music on RUclips is so good you could just put URLs on a dartboard, throw darts and listen to the one's pinned and that random collection would be a great intro. Before her concert I put together a recording of available tunes thinking that I might play it at the Angels meet and greet. My criteria was just pick songs with good audio quality for a good sound system. I came up with 4 hours of great music. She has that much out there and her recording career is just getting started! ❤ Thanks.
Perfect! I have always thought that the sessions with Ivan are amazing! There is some kind of magic with these sessions and the two that convinced me she was destined to become more than just famous...she was destined to become legendary. Stay & A Million Years Ago with Ivan are epic, so intimate it makes you think she is singing directly to you
Great video Chris! All the songs you went over are definitely top notch and some of her best work. Boy, I wonder if we will ever see Ivan Mendez with Angelina again. It would be so cool to see. A person can wish and dream! On a side note, kind of a sad day for their family when Juliette put on her Instagram account about the divorce of Sara and Gerry. My wishes and prayers to their family going through this difficult process. Love and prayers to everyone!

it depends a lot on who the person is. People under 25, Id steer them to the EP. The Ivan collection is not as comprehensive as if you showed videos from a variety of ages, but it’s such a good combo of vocals, recording quality, intimacy, heart, composing and arranging artistry, and bts info (the interview video).
Of course when she slowed down Wake me up as a dedication to Avichii her friend.

Re-viewed 'Gloomy Sunday' (from a week prior which I thought was 'good') . . . . and began to realize this girl is from a different Galaxy ! Her cover of Adele's 'A Million Years Ago' . . . . . stunning .

When someone looks as small as a lawnmower, but sounds like a Ferrari, you know you've come across something quite extraordinary. I've already played and listened to your playlist from the link twice. It has been almost 3 years since I was lost in her voice and music now. So I skipped the Ivan interview, since that one is almost memorized word by word. The ''Ivan interview'' belongs there for those who are new to Angelina. I almost forgot how excellent she was at age 12. I can not believe she was only 12 years old in all of these songs. Great video for introducing Angelina to whoever interested! Thank you!

Great video Chris I agree with everything except anyone that thinks she peeked at 12 I mean she had an amazing 5 or or 6 year run (hard to compare to someone that age singing like that) but I think once she gets past some personal issues that maybe she has going on in her life and gets a few concerts under belt she'll be better than ever the show she put on for top models in Germany was amazing and some songs like Valerie sounded better than when she younger to me. ( I haven't seen her recent concert so I can't comment on that)
Oh definitely I think she keeps reaching new heights vocally. Yes, her latest Valerie is her best version, and her Portsmouth Unchained Melody was the best live performance I’ve ever heard in person, by anyone. But 2018 when she was 12 was an awesome year for her (have you heard her superb audio only video from Kongsberg 2018?), and other fans have said she peaked then. Not me though!
@@BigAngieFan808 yeah she was already a pro with an amazing voice I just think she has a lot more to give in terms of songwriting and different types of music then she could have ever been able to at that age.
I loved it !!!!.... So much is said about her being an Angel or Princess etc that i`m scared that some people will put her on a pedestal too much.... i love her for who she is, complete with imperfections.... She is very beautiful but her legs are not the best, Thats a good thing it keeps a person grounded when the Sharks in the industry come lurking around. When i saw she had Teenage spots i was relieved that she was going through what we all go through, again it keeps her grounded, at a time when the truly horrible people in the industry would tell or say anything to gain an advantage .... I Love her because she has flaws but her inner beauty shines so brightly.... mini rant over now bye!!

At 70 I absolutely adore her for all her singing and non-singing attributes. Almost all the reaction channels say 80 percent are not done by spring chickens. My question is will the GenX and Gen Z music listeners appreciate the nuance and subtlety of her voice. The garbage many in this age range listens to gives me serious doubt.. I have a bucket list going, mostly travel but I have added at least one Angelina concert to that list. Angelina gives the same pleasant feeling as when I listened to Linda Rondstadt circa 1972-1973.

When I first heard A million Years Ago I bawled my head off. I felt like she really had lived a million years ago and mourned for that time. I felt her grief. It is still one of my all time favorites. Stay is another. I had actually never heard either before and and later watched the originals. Sorry, original artists, but Angelina did them better. They were just good songs until Angelina got ahold of them and made them exceptional.
Yes there are so many songs where Angelina’s version was the first one I heard and then I went back and listened to the original. Almost every time her version was better, and in some cases vastly better!
On YT there is a video from Angelina’s sister Juliette saying her parents are divorcing is this a hoax!

Good Info and Great video as a whole! I am asking everyone I react to if it offends them when I write, (God Bless) after every comment? You Tube says I'm violating their rules and all my comments are Positive and True to my beliefs. I try to follow what Angelina would say or react to the best of my abilities and are left with a God Bless, not being against anyone, I was actually suspended for 24 hours and threatened to be disallowed on You Tube all together. Well any ways be Blessed by God!
