The thing about this performance is that it's completely and totally an emotional experience. If you're here for technical ability, it'll be off because she truly sounded sick last night and could not give her 100% vocally, but here you can see she gave 100% of herself and sometimes that's all that matters. It was beautiful and it makes me love her even more.
Just look at the emotion she put into her performance. Who cares if 2 or 3 notes weren't that clear (remember this was the first time she sang it live). It was fucking beautiful and gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it.

Don't think some people realize Demi tends to scream on purpose when she gives songs a rock edge. She has been doing that forever.. since her demos before she signed a contract. her demos were all pop/punk and even folk/rock. She even says she likes doing that with her vocals in certain songs, but the girl can most definitely belt(not scream). She's so good at singing R&B songs and soulful/jazzy/bluesy songs, which you can hear in her "here we go again" and "unbroken" album. Her voice is pretty versatile. From soft, soulful, to belting, to screaming on tune.. lol. Her voice is too powerful and her range is too big for certain songs, though.
