Thank you! I watched another tutorial that told me to have it on 'add' and click inverted and I had no idea why it wasn't working. This did it! You're the best!
In the beginning make sure you guys close the brackets for the work space down into what you need to be masked(otherwise the process will take a LOT longer if you just want a portion of the video), this is briefly mentioned in the beginning of the video but im silly and was stuck on it for a bit.
It's always very individual. When you have too much detail around edges it has a hard time keeping clean edges. With the AI tools this should get much easier and cleaner. Let's see what Adobe will implement
ok...please go back to your initial comment and read it out loud ...you are telling me that you did what I demonstrated and you're getting black. How am I supposed to extract any useful information out of that? What else other than 'watch again, but slowly' could I possibly suggest now?

this is insane and helped me so much thank you! Subbed!
Thank you this was brilliant, so helpful!!
Is there a way to take the removed object and paste it on another video?
I'm sure there is ....but it wouldn't be a good fit for multiple reasons ...angle, lighting etc. Merging footage that way is usually not a good idea.

thanks for pointing out, Christian!
how?
can you add moving objects in videos? If so do you have a video on this. cheers
For some reason it creates artifacts and blobs, especially around the edge... Is there any way to feather the effect/mask?
