This is great for doing homework. I feel like I’m writing letters in the captain’s quarters in my own ship
Master and Commander
there we go, 100 likes, ur welcome
@@Lex-nx7kdgreat movie just watched it last night
lol
Play this in one tab and either PotC soundtrack or Longest Johns shanties in another tab, and you have absolute auditory perfection.
Great idea, Nathan!
can confirm this
PtoC?
@@kainuipenaloza9395 Pirates of the Caribbean
Or the soundtrack to assassins creed black flag sea shanty edition
I have to admit that this is perfect for listening to sea shanties. Great work.
I am playing both on 2 tabs
Writing a storm-based DND encounter today and I've been listening to this on loop for the last hour and a half. You do amazing work!
Thanks for your kind words and your support! have fun!
I wish ships like this still exists, modern ships just doesn't kinda ruins a beautiful journey for me. I love listening to this while fantasizing being on a ship!
That makes Two of us, my brother and dad love the new carbon fiber hulled racing sailboats.
And they get ticked when I tell them that old square riggers are real sailing ships.
I mean they do still exist, and more and more people are starting to sail them again (To be more environmentally friendly I think?) Of course you don't get as many people sailing Galleons or anything thing XD
but there's plenty of Sloops and Schooners about at sea I'm sure!
@@mattellistone364 but Galleons are so freaking cool!
Look into working on tallships. They still VERY much exist and while they do have modern technology, the crew who handles them only uses it when its needed. Source: Was a tallship sailor for years.
You obviously have no idea how absolutely terrible it was being on these ships
"Capn Kenway, Man O' War, Spanish, she looks to be alone sir!"
NO NO NO NO IM WRITING A NORSE THEMED FANFIC AND IN ONE TAB I HAVE VIKING FOLK SONGS AND THEN THIS AND IM SO IMMERSED ITS PERFECT THANK YOU SM
Dude, your soundscapes are amazing! This is exactly what I've been looking for.
I know right!!!! This ambience also GREATLY helps you imagine you're on a giant galleon pirate ship, sailing a giant ocean to reach a giant country that been undiscovered for 144,000 years!!!!!👒🗡️🐉🏴☠️🛳️👍
Listening to this as I read Patrick O’Brian’s Master and Commander. It really makes the experience much more immersive and helps unleash my imagination, thank you! I recommend for anyone reading a nautical themed book.
Hornblower is a good read!
The players in the campion we run every week are so familiar with this that they probably hear it in their sleep.
Thank you.
I’m hosting a one shot and your soundtracks are ligit the only thing i will ever use for sound. Thank you you do great work
Thank you so much! I really appreciate :) Have fun!
This plus Assassin's Creed IV sea shanties is perfect match
Really elevates the dnd session!
currently blasting this as i write my silly little pirate stories. 10/10
Sounds so accurate!
Thanks a lot friend ! Don't hesitate to use them for your productions if you need ;)
With sloping masts and dipping prow,
As who pursued with yell and blow
Still treads the shadow of his foe,
And forward bends his head,
The ship drove fast, loud roared the blast,
And southward aye we fled.
STC great sound effects!
This ambience is an absolute masterpiece!!!!! It makes you imagine you're on a giant galleon pirate ship, sailing an extremely beautiful, calm and crystal clear blue ocean to reach an very big, ultra rich and ultra peaceful kingdom while searching for buried treasure on the bottom of the ocean floor!!!!👒🗡️🐉🏴☠️🛳️🥰👍
Best when read with Alexander Kent's Bolitho novels, and Patrick O'Brian's Jack Aubrey novels! Well done!
Great idea, Leopold!! Yes. I have a somewhat similar video I posted over 9 months ago to my channel that's just now starting to take off. I don't get the TY algorithm sometimes.. but people love these sounds! Cheers. -Scott
this + AC4 sea shanties = pure happiness
Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well.
The speed that my motion sickness kicked in is unsettling. I'm not even moving. I'm laying flat on my back with my eyes closed.
The winds were blowing strong, the waters were strong yet gentle, the day... was mundane. No drunk, no bickering, no singing, no danger. Just... normal Shipwork.
There in the wheel deck stood the quartermaster, and in the benches hehind him... was Captain Adlian, snoring her nostrils into her lungs.
🎶There once was a ship that was put to sea and the name of the ship was the Billy o' tea, the winds blew hard, her bow dipped down Blow me bully boys blow🎶

Thanks Sheila :)
loved it
omg- so one of my favorite bands is holding a pirate themed ARG and i've been using these ambiances to fit the mood, we're currently at the shipyard getting ready to set sail by 5PM EST- i'm so excited to start sailing with the crew, sure, said crew might be chaotic as heck, but they're family and i couldn't ask for a better crew such as them, the shipwright Lancashire is helping us build our ship today :D
Great work here
This is so great I just wish it was longer than 1 hour, I have to keep pausing my D&D game to go back to the video and restart it. The RUclips looping site doesn't work on my TV.
I don't know how your TV works, but if you have a mouse connected to it, you can right lick on the video and "loop".
Sadly I'll stick to my 1-hour format :P
I loved sailing the Atlantic when you hear the sails flapping at night the wind and the waves love it
Reading ( the who laughs) by Victor Hugo while this sound are played is the best highsea historical tale vibes
This + Assassin's Creed 4 Sea Shanties = BLISS.
Simply amazing
Thanks a lot 😊
i had this on while reading beowulf very good
Captain Deudermont and the Sea Sprite of Waterdeep Harbor salute you!
And Robillard the maritime battle mage, well, he looks a little less annoyed.
reading fanfic about pirates with this sound is cool
Sailing for adventure on the big, blue sea!
One of my player's favorites ! We have been running a pirate campaign for the past 3 years :)
Thankyou.
Angela: hey izuru kamukura. I'm so happy to see you and thank you for coming to national oyster day. Can I get you something to drink and eat?🍬👸
Izuru kamukura: sure. I will like to order the cold brew and some wheat thins please?⚓

Clew up boys!! Hard to starboard lads!
using this in the first session of a new DnD campaign, right now we're fighting some crazy goblins
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me...
Ah the seagulls! I love this so much!
The sea calls.
Reading Moby Dick and this is great for background!
With sloping masts and dipping prow,
As who pursued with yell and blow
Still treads the shadow of his foe,
And forward bends his head,
The ship drove fast, loud roared the blast,
And southward aye we fled.
And now there came both mist and snow,
And it grew wondrous cold:
And ice, mast-high, came floating by,
As green as emerald.
And through the drifts the snowy clifts
Did send a dismal sheen:
Nor shapes of men nor beasts we ken-
The ice was all between.
The ice was here, the ice was there,
The ice was all around:
It cracked and growled, and roared and howled,
Like noises in a swound!

Hey Michael, do you mind if I use some of your music for my Dungeons and Dragons Campaign? I really love your music and ability to make such realistic ambiance for any story, and wondered if that will be okay with you?
Hey Doug! That's the whole purpose of it actually :D You can definitely use any of my creations / compositions for personal use without asking. You only have to ask if you use them for a project (especially if it has a commercial purpose).
However, I would really like if you could share my channel with your players ;)
Michael Ghelfi, I am going to be more than happy to tell my players about your musical awesomeness and hopefully get you even more recognized by the RUclips community. And I will do my best! :)
Lol Sounds like the Big Old Wooden ship Museums At all the Docks
It is like rowing together with a Viking army 🍻 Skàl
Man i would kill to be in either The pequod or the Nautilus
i used this in my Homebrew DND game where the players goal was to get strong enough to fight a Kraken. although...... we rolled a 1 on random encounters out at sea and got an eary kraken a tad toooo much more that i wouldve liked.
Did they all die? :O
@@MichaelGhelfiStudios welllll..... it split the boat, crushed the elf paladin, ate the halfling ranger, the human fighter, the human wizard and orc cleric undloaded gunpowder barrels into their mouth, doing some really good damage. then the wizard gets yeeted off of the boat, the fighter unloads his flintlock pistol, gets attacked and dies in 2 hits, and the cleric jumps into the water and eventually drowns. 1 survivor, and no other players. we restarted in a new world and a new place. .-. that didnt go well
Micheal, this is amazing. Making my own small game to play with family called Skull and Crossbones, an entirely pirate themed RPG. This works perfectly for when players are out on the open sea. Cheers!
Great! Have fun Aidan :)
@@MichaelGhelfiStudios Thought I'd come back to this comment. it's been five months since I started developing the game, and it's expanded and lasted longer than I ever expected it to. Thank you for making the sessions whole and complete, each time we set sail.

When im looking for something or doing something else of the sort, I have to have music playing. And I have a painting of a ship in my room and I went "omg I'll type pov im on a boat ambience"
And all I have to say is:

Seagulls? Land!
Currently reading “Under Enemy Colors” to this.
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
Westward from the Davis Strait 'tis there 'twas said to lie
The sea route to the Orient for which so many died
Seeking gold and glory, leaving weathered, broken bones
And a long-forgotten lonely cairn of stones
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
Three centuries thereafter, I take passage overland
In the footsteps of brave Kelsey, where his Sea of Flowers began
Watching cities rise before me, then behind me sink again
This tardiest explorer, driving hard across the plain
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
And through the night, behind the wheel, the mileage clicking west
I think upon Mackenzie, David Thompson and the rest
Who cracked the mountain ramparts and did show a path for me
To race the roaring Fraser to the sea
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
How then am I so different from the first men through this way?
Like them, I left a settled life, I threw it all away
To seek a Northwest Passage at the call of many men
To find there but the road back home again
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
This reminded me of amnesia for some reason
I listen to this while I read Treasure Island.
Am I being dense ....what are RPG sessions.....ps sounds 👌.....Fred
Thank you Fred :) RPG sessions = Sessions during which you play some Role Playing Games (RPG). Basically some tabletop games with friends, all around a table, playing different characters and acting like you were these characters. Example : Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, etc.
Was it clear ? :)
On here to find some music to play for my dnd sessions lol, might use this.
