That did come out pretty sharp, no question. My son & I had a great idea to help get people to understand the realities of the business and make things go smoother. We think you should figure out the WORST possible way to do things and give that out as advice. Then when the customer changes their mind and wants to do the opposite, like the uninformed often do, things will be perfect! And that way you won't even have to change what you're doing! I know there are plenty of contractors out there that just don't care but I would be so happy to get advice from somebody who REALLY knows the business. And your advice is free, really, and will ALWAYS save money in the long run. Well, anyway, that's our idea for when you run into those who are - shall we say "inexperienced". BTW, we're finally back up to 36 dergrees tonight.🥶

Merry Christmas to you and your family. May God bring you good health and happiness.
It’s a lot easier to deal with one “Boss” instead of two. It’s been my experience that with two, they seem to always be going in different directions which makes it really frustrating.
Great job Brandon. Thanks for sharing with us.

When they finally showed up to dig my pond they decided to use a General Motors green monster dozer. Supposed to been 1/3 acre. Well when the dozer has a 24 ft blade it ended up about a half acre. Which was fine but I ended up with another hill of dirt in the front. Doesn’t really matter to me but they realized they over did it a bit. Around here you usually leave a hill on one end of the pond to help keep it full. It gets used for drinking water. The run off from the hill really makes a difference in keeping water levels constant. Even on a dry year mine only drops down maybe 2 foot from water usage and evaporation. Ones without I have seen 3 or 4 foot easily.

That’s one way to doze out a pond. That’s really good it only drops a foot or so. Appreciate you watching and Merry Christmas!

@ They were going to use a small pan then they realized I lived on a stone road without weight restrictions so they brought the big boy. 2 days and it was done. They were doing a lot of jobs and had gotten behind. They were 2 months late on mine. I wanted the clay for a building pad. Ended up getting fill from Indiana because they were so late. 20 20 ton loads. Needed to bring it up a foot where I built. I don’t think it really cost me anymore because the stuff I used just leveled it no compacting. With the clay I would haves needed a compactor and dozer to mess with my clay.

I try to find some humor in the setbacks in life but in this case there's no humor to be found for me and I guess you either. I've never walked away from a project even when I probably should have. You have to stop and wonder if people really don't realize how much work costs on projects or else they're intentionally trying to beat you out of something. i've seen both and don't like either one. Brandon, I feel bad for you on this one. Especially right at Christmas. The high road is a hard road to take sometimes but in the end it's the only one. Keep up the good work.

I do too but it doesn’t always work out. I guess there are some people that have no idea what stuff costs. He was surprised I fueled them up every night he thought they were getting great mileage 🤣 Thank you! Merry Christmas to you!
