My husband and I had been dating for three weeks when he asked me to marry him. I said yes and two months later we got married. We will be celebrating 44 years of marriage this December!
Aw we were married 9 months to the day after we met! 33 years ago! :) Remember: long marriages don't mean people haven't been through it! It means we never gave up! xo
My husband and I met on Thursday and got engaged on Sunday. He took me to Red Lobster Sunday night where he asked me to marry him. He was from Illinois and I lived in Florida. He was in Florida doing so work for his uncle and we just met by chance. He went back to Illinois and fixed up his house and worked for 4 months before coming back to Florida for our wedding. We have been married for almost 45 years and were blessed with 4 amazing kids. And now we are both on carnivore ❗️❗️❗️
I met my husband during my senior year in high school. We worked in the same local grocery store. My little brother was sick with cancer and I prayed for God to send me someone, I met Donnie the next day. He asked me out, asked to marry him on second date, I said yes and we have been married 34 years now. I love him more now than ever. We have been so blessed!!
My husband was one of my first patients. When he asked me out, I told him I couldn't bc I wouldn't cross that line. That day he transferred his treatments to the competitor across town, changed MD's and the next week he came into my job with flowers asking me out again. For our first date, he cooked me an amazing dinner. We were married a year later. When you know, you know. ❤
Thank you so much for watching and commenting !! The recipe is as follows, very simple it’s just 4 avocados, the juice of 4 limes, 2 bunches of cilantro, half a red onion, a cup of chopped tomatoes and then season to taste 🥑
The little limes are called Key limes. As in: Key Lime Pie. It’s higher acidity is what makes that dessert work. Learn more here: www.tastingtable.com/cook/national/key-lime-pie-difference-persian-lime-citrus?amphtml=true
Sounds like great guacamole!-We need a KETO... Key Lime pie recipe! Hook us up! (Only for very special occasions, of course!) I realize sweets are not your fav... but.. please!
This is the best basic recipe for guacamole! And you two are so perfect together! 😉💖 I have my soulmate and he pursued me for almost 10 years before I said yes. We just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and our life is perfect. 😊❤️✨
On my first day of class at our local college my now husband was sitting at the front & turned & smiled a huge smile at the same time that Cupid zapped me straight in my heart & I thought to myself "Oh s***! I think I just met my husband!" That was 26 yrs ago & we are now grandparents to twins. A boy & a girl!💕💕
My husband and I met online and talked for three days before we realized we were neighbors across the street from each other- I could see his balcony from my apartment balcony. I didn’t want to date because I was freshly divorced, but since he was my neighbor I agreed to meet him. We met at 1 am at the Waffle House and pretty much stayed together every spare minute we had after that. We have been married 17 years and have four boys from 6-16 😁
I met my husband at the skating rink, when I fell down he tripped over me. Now I tell everyone that he picked me up at the skating rink.( literally) Two weeks later he asked me to marry him, four months later we were married. And 30 years later we still feel like Honeymooners. Happy Guacamole Day Ken and Neisha!!!! May Baby Berry arrived safely and in good health.
So happy I found this oldy but goody...my husband and I met online. Our first date was at an authentic German restaurant on New Year's Eve and we closed it down at 2am. We still go back there every year...that is "our place". We both had been single for about 7 years before we met later in life. We are happy we found each other!
I had known my husbands older brother since I was 14. He decided he didn’t like the guy I was dating and I should meet his little brother. After graduation I had gone to Florida as did his brother. His older brother called him and told him he had called me and set up a blind date for him. Our first date was their Family reunion picnic! I met EVERYONE. We spent the whole day together and everyday after that. We celebrated 44 yrs this year.
My husband and I’s first date was at a sports bar. We told jokes the whole time and he told me years later that he loved the fact that I genuinely loved how funny he was and how much I enjoyed laughing at his jokes. He said I never was fake and he appreciated that. After 28 years the man still keeps me laughing! I love to laugh til I cry and he never disappoints!
We met in high school. I was new to the area. My Dad signed me up for secretary type classes. After two days, I went to the office and told the counselor I hated those classes. We talked about what interested me most and the counselor changed my classes to math and science. I walked into study hall, 100 kids in that study hall. He noticed me cause I was new. The next class was physical Science. He was in that class. It took me awhile to notice him. I was a serious student. The two of us started talking after class one day. I helped him through an English term paper and he helped me with the fundamentals of a combustion engine. He was hilarious. Our first date was supposed to be a movie, but I was more interested in getting to know him, so we postponed the movie and just talked. We married in August after high school. 47 years this year. 2 boys, 2 adopted foster children , 8 grandchildren. Both eat keto.
Too adorable. My husband told me when we were dating he said believe all the gossip and make your own decision, I love that. My scoundrel was adorable with flaws that learned from his mistakes. He got better with age 😘 he’s still a work in progress. .
Our first date we were at his moms house in their family room watching movies, eating Doritos and drinking Mt. Dew. I was 17 and he was 16. We went on a few dates, then life and other people got in the way, 6 years and several bad decisions later we went out again. This time we went to the movies to watch The Lion King, the following weekend he asked me to marry him and 6 weeks later we were married. Last month we celebrated our 25th anniversary. After 25 years and 5 kids, The Lion King is still our favorite movie!
Our story is too long to share the whole thing, but I chuckled at Ken's forwardness because my husband was the same. First date, first thing outta his mouth in the car, he flat out said he was looking for a wife and doesn't play games or date around and if we were going to be seeing each other it has to be exclusively. First date! Lol Worked for me tho, I wanted a husband (and had been secretly crushing on him for 5 years, only to find out later he had been crushing on me too! Lol). Married in 6 months and now 26 years strong! These days he laughs about it and says he's surprised (and glad) I didn't jump right out of the car! 🤣
This is the side everyone needs to know about Dr. Ken. The story was so heartwarming. I am in my early 20s and I am right in the middle of building myself up, having gone thru weight loss and stop blaming others for my faults. May we all find ourselves the Neisha that makes us do what we need to be doing. aka calling us on our bullshit 😂. Thank y’all for this video
Dr Berry and Beautiful Mrs Berry, I am the biggest nobody that’ll ever write you and probably will never get to meet you in this life, but in Heaven I wanna give you both a hug. Lil over a month ago I discovered a slightly unorthodox southern doctor on RUclips and thought yep I like that fellow, I was at 289 this morning 265 and even though I have a long way to go I’ll get there, thank you both for making me think different, feeling better everyday, because of Y’all!!!❤️ I Thank God for you both!!!
My husband I, both born-again believers, met at a fellowship meeting on September 20 and were married on October 17 of the same year. He was 56 and I was 32. We were married 30 years until he went home to be with the Lord in 2005. Miss him much!
I met my husband Roger in junior high school, but we never dated. Right after high school graduation, I asked my older brother to take me to a particular store (we had to drive past 5 other stores to get there) because I knew Roger was working there and I hung out until Roger asked me out. We went out a few times then he never called me again. I figured it was because I wouldn't "put out" for him. Fast forward 35 years. I never really got over him, or had "closure", and was surprised when he sent me a Facebook friend request. He was living near our little Michigan town and I had moved to Chicago. I stewed a few days before I accepted his friend request. The following Christmas, I went home to visit my family and made a suggestion that all of us that graduated high school together (in 1974) get together for karaoke. He walked in and it was like the rest of the world disappeared. Our first real date was 2 weeks later at a bar/restaurant that had great salads (I was on one of those low calorie starvation diets) and one year exactly from the day we "re-met", we got married. We are celebrating 9 years on January 2nd. This has been the happiest 9 years of my life!
You know you've met your match when they can call you out on your bullshit and you know deep down inside, that is EXACTLY what you need to become a better person!! I can completely relate. Thanks for sharing!
I love this story! Y’all are so real! Me and my husband met when I was 29. I went on a mission trip to South Africa. He was a Pastor in Cape Town. I was in South Africa 18 days and about a week in Cape Town. I was a prayer coordinator at my home church in Texas. He was the prayer coordinator for the Southern district of South Africa. We literally built our friendship because of prayer. I came home and never imagined I would see him again but I had this new email friend. I returned home and dated but he was often in my thoughts. He had an awesome accent and he also was singer. I referred to him as a Pentecostal Michael Bolton! Over the next year our friendship continued. He was coming the following year to a conference in Kentucky and we planned to meet up. The morning he went to the American Embassy was the day if September 11, 2001. He was the last one to be issued a visa for a year! He literally said the doors slammed behind him. By this time he had already told me his intention. The first endearing word he called me Sunshine and I read it several times trying to figure out if he just called me Sunshine or telling me the sun is shinning.. I was so afraid to read more into it. You talked mabout setting boundaries.. I had my heart broken in the past and had made a decision I wouldn’t allow another man to even kiss me until he knew I would be his wife.. well literally, Henry came after the trip to Kentucky back to Texas and asked my dad and mom if he could marry me. When he finally did the proposal we shared our first kiss. We were married May 25, 2002. It was the best decision! He is an amazing husband and incredible daddy to our Son. We travel to South Africa almost yearly. We will be spending our Christmas there this year with our 5 year old! ❤️
My present husband was my late husband's best friend. After my husband passed he would come over check on me occasionally we would go out. I would drink way too much beer and he would take me home pour me onto my couch and kiss me on the head and say I'll check on you tomorrow. Whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on or a voice of reason he was there. Like you sister my friends would tell me what the hell are you thinking he's 10 years younger than you he's a womanizer and he's a fireman. What a combination right? I would always say it's no big deal we're just friends . This went on for about three years . One night we where setting in a local establishment and yes drinking beer. When one of his not so recent ladies walked by, stopped, and ask do you still have my number you haven't called me for a long time. After they talked to while and she walked away I said to him you need to let me pick out your next girlfriend. He replied I've already pick one out that's going to marry me. After I stop laughing I said who is that. He just looked at me and said it's you. We have been together now for over 25 years. Were their Rocky times absolutely. But you work through them. So that's my love story thank you for sharing yours
My late husband (Steve) asked me to meet him at a friend/co-worker’s home where a bunch of people would be having a party/jam session for our first date. When I arrived, the host told me that Steve had called saying he was sick and wouldn’t be able to come. I never thought to give him MY phone number. I had a great time anyway, there were several people from work (we worked for the same company in different departments), so I wasn’t surrounded by strangers. It took Steve another 4 months to work up the courage to ask me out again, this time on a regular dinner and a movie date, and we were pretty much inseparable after that, until he passed away 14 1/2 years later. I miss him, but I’m so glad I he was in my life.
I had 6 total yrs (after dating on n off several yrs) before my husband died in 8/1990. We had moved in together before marrying. I still can’t wait to see him. Truly.
Loved this! Reminds me of when my husband and I started dating. I was afraid because of past relationships, but so glad we persevered. We've been very happily married 28 years now!!
My husband moved to my town to start his pharmacists internship, I was finishing technician classes at our local community college. I very much felt as Neisha, there were not a lot of choices in town in men... Our 80 year old coworker encouraged us to date, but I was not about to ride in his $300 stinky Subaru. He bought a new f150 and me a birthday cake for my 21st bday, and the rest is history! We went to Kum Yons Japanese food, a psychedelic movie ( we both hated), and sat on a picnic table bench and talked for hours in the dark. We both bragged about our large families and amazing grandparents. 25.5 years later we have a 24 year old in Audiology school, a 22 year old daughter who graduated from West Point, a 19 year old son working his way up in the construction business, and a 16 year old chill stud leading his pears! God has blessed us. It took us 24 years before we had that big fight and realized nothing else matters in our marriage except unconditional love. We were always committed. But we know we want each other forever💗
Thanks for sharing your story - My wife caught on fire on our first date. We had a nice dinner then stopped into a friends club for a drink. There were candles on the table. She reached across the table to hold my hand and her sweater sleeve went up in flames. I smothered the fire with my bare hands, heroically saving her life of course, and we've been together ever since. Will give Southern a try next time we are in Nashville. That guac looks amazing!
Thanks for being here tonight! Enjoyed hearing about your first date! My husband and I were out at a restaurant. I told him I didn't feel well. He prayed for me! I thought, " This is the one!"
I wasn't going to watch this whole thing, then I did. Thanks for sharing the unbecoming stuff too. We've all been there. My husband and I met through friends, he emailed, called then flew out to Seattle from Chicago to meet me. Our first date was the Hoh Rainforest. We got married three weeks later, that was twelve years ago. Happy for you both (Three now).
Went out for dinner a movie, then played cards until 3AM. We talked about everything under the sun. He loved, and was not intimidated by, my smarts. I loved that he was smart and makes me laugh. He still loves my brain and loves to make me laugh. He is my home! I am getting gushy so I will stop now... Thanks so much for telling us your story. You were real and didn't cover up the truth...In today's world that is quite refreshing. I hope the single people out there, or the ones in bad relationships, will hear some of your pearls of wisdom. I hope they keep looking for their perfect fit and don't stop trying to improve themselves while they look...and set boundaries! Thanks again.
Such an amazing story. Thanks for sharing it with us. My husband processed me into the basic training for the army. We re met in Germany, when I processed him back into the European theater from his deployment to Kosovo. The third time we were reintroduced on a blind date. We became friends quickly, then dated and were married within 3 months of re meeting each other. We're coming up on 17 years of marriage.
I married my husband covid style in May 2020. We are newlyweds. We both have been praying about moving to Tennessee. We both love the Lord so much. Im so glad I came across Dr. Berry's videos. Both of you are amazing individuals 🤙😊
I worked with my husband for a couple of years, and it NEVER crossed my mind to date him much less marry him! We worked at the Publix warehouse and I was the clerk who handed the guys orders through the window. He was always such a nice guy and always so respectful but I had my eyes on someone else who was horrible for me! Anyway, he started hanging out in the office some, and I thought hmmm. But he had a girlfriend who he had moved to Florida for, so I thought that was a no go. Forgot about it, and one day he said they broke up. I was so obvious when I said “REALLY?!?!” A few days later I was going out with some friends to celebrate a 21st birthday and I was telling him about it. He says, “Why don’t you come over to my place before you go and I’ll make you a drink to get you started.” I said ok. So I went to his place and we had great conversation but no drinks! I realized it was getting late, so I said I had to go, and he walked me to the door. As I was leaving, he grabbed my arm and laid a kiss on me I will never forget. I had never been kissed like that. Knees weak, sweaty palms, the whole bit. I was late to my friends, but I knew I liked this guy, not to mention he was such a gentleman! My friend said, “It must be something special because you’re never late!” A year and a half later we got married, we have never had a fight, and I promise our love grows every year. This year was 17 years we’ve been married, we have a 15 yo son, and we still love each other’s company, even if it’s a quiet night at home. I grateful every day that he care into my life and he’s my best friend and my rock.
Such a great story, my man and i went to a baseball game, after finding each other on Facebook....we knew each other because we had gone to high school together...i moved to Florida for my senior year and stayed 25 yrs....he still lived in our hometown.....i came to visit....we were together the whole week....i went back home....wasnt even there a week ....packed and drove straight here....been together ever since...almost 7 years.....best decision ever ❤
Met my husband at the Indiana Paralegal Bachelor Auction April, 1995. I was a divorced, mother of two small children, and bedside RN. He was also a divorced, father of two small children, and an elder law attorney. I bought him for $125 (proceeds went to the battered women shelter)! Two years later, April, 1997 he asked me to marry him. We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on October 25th, 2022 ❤.
You two are a great couple. You are entertaining. Marriage is so much easier when we grow up! I've been married 49 years & we are always working out our marriage vows! 😍
Well.... You asked how people met LOL I am a Christian and prayed to find a Christian man. There was a festival in our county and two years in a row I worked at a concession stand. The big show had a singer named Jesse Dixon and we closed up the concession stand, and I always go to the front. My sisters were with us. I saw this cute guy standing two people down from us. Jesse Dixon said, Turn and shake your brother's hand. I tapped my baby sister and said, Shake his hand first. So she did and that gave me the segue to shake his hand. He then began to talk to me for the rest of the concert. He had also been praying to find a Christian woman using the scripture Proverbs 18:22 NKJV - He who finds a wife finds a good thing. To make a long story short and I mean short, we were married 4 months later and will celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary on October 2nd.
This video made me so hungry for Guacamole. We were very young so our first date was a movie in our little home town of 2000 people. We married when he was 18 and I was 19. We’ve been married 46 years and have 4 children and 12 grandchildren. I loved hearing about y’all and your story.
My husband and I first date was back in Venezuela. I was 15 yrs old and he was 16 at that moment, we went to the mall lol and had ice cream. And coffee! 🤣 7 years ago. This monday is our 3rd anniversary 💜💜💜
My husband and I went on one date that never ended. We married three months or so after we met and have been married for going on 20 years. LOL, I can relate to your story, it is very much like ours LOL. Behind every good man is a tough woman. My husband and I are deeply grateful for all the help we have received through your videos.
My husband was my high school history teacher. After I graduated, he called me and asked to take me out for my 18th birthday. He was 25. We went to a great seafood place in Panama City Beach. Three weeks later, he proposed. Eight months later we married and we just celebrated our 40th Anniversary. 🙂
Your comment about the scent of books - OMG yes! I grew up as a frequent visitor to a small library in Seattle. All the furniture was oak, as were many of the structural elements. The wood, along with whatever they used to clean it I suppose, and the books joined to create a lovely, distinctive scent that I will always remember and associate with books. A few years ago I had occasion to visit that library and was delighted to learn that it still smelled just the same as it had nearly 70 years ago.
My husband and I met in high school. I was a junior, he a senior. I had my eyes on him for a few months before he even acknowledged me. He had the most beautiful singing voice with most of the solos in out vocal jazz group. Swoon!!! Our 44th wedding anniversary is coming up in a few weeks! ♥️ Loved to hear your love story!!! 🥑
This video is so great! This was 11 months ago and my first intro to the two of you as a couple after discovering watching Dr. Berry’s videos. I treasure both of you and what you have to offer!!
My husband asked me to marry him 7 days after our first date. We’ve been together for 15 happy years now. He asks me to marry him every day too which is amazing! 💕
A "DOG"??? I'm glad you grew out of it! That guac looks fantastic! Being young & stupid is rough. I know it took me awhile, but, thanks be to God, I finally got there. Compassion & gentleness make a huge difference. I'm an only child, too. I truly understand! You found the right woman. Just as I found the most incredible human being! Hubster is my one & only for 43 yrs, now!
You guys are frickin' adorable!! Our first date was amazing too. We were both just out of crap relationships and weren't looking for serious. He drove about an hour to meet me for dinner. Went to a local restaurant and the first bite of his burger, his extra mayo landed on his shirt!! 🤣🤣 Really helped break the ice. After dinner, we went to the city park and walked around awhile, just hanging out. Then we went back to where I was staying and spent the next 6 hours or so sitting by a bonfire. Just talking and getting to know each other. I'm glad it was my last first date, because it was my best ❤❤
Raw, honest journey of bringing your baggage to the relationship and discovering what needs to be changed. Very powerful message... working through stuff, turning it around. ;)
Loved this video. Met my hubby and had our first date at a local dinner theater. We were engaged two months later and will be married 42 years in October. Gosh, I love this man! When it’s the one, you know it!
My first date was not her first date, which was evident by her asking advice about another guy while on said outing. It took me a couple of more months to turn her around to me. I think it worked out. We just celebrated #28!!
That was so cute. Thank you so much for sharing something so personal about yourselves!! My husband and I met at the beach during our Sophomore year at college and have been married over 48 years.
I JUST have to say" You both are So adorable, thank you for sharing and being SO down to earth and REAL." Love all the health information you both share. God Bless:)))
Thanks for sharing! I met my husband online, we were in our 40's, so not our firsts, first date was a steakhouse and a movie, I never knew such a love between two people could exist!
My husband and I met on eharmony. I was too cheap to buy the subscriptions so I never got to see his photo but messages him for free. I loved his profile and had a moment where I was like he is the one. Went on a first date and I almost stood him up because I was running behind from an event. He bowled for 3 hours while waiting for me. Once I showed up it was never the same. We are inseparable! Married almost 3 years and it keeps getting better. Y’all are so adorable. Neisha you keep it real..love y’all authencity
Really loved this!! Thanks for sharing such a great story. Our first date was 1 month after we first met. It was Sunday, 13 February 1994, he made me dinner (Caesar Salad, Baked Ziti, Wine & Chocolate Cake) at his apartment. We ate, talked, listened to Air Supply on CD till midnight but decided not to get serious with each other. The next day he sent me a dozen roses for Valentine's day & we got married 2 months later. We also celebrate every year on the same date too!! ❤❤
So so sweet!! I met my husband (we were both 18) Labor day 1977. He was the younger brother of my dearest friend. We flew to Denver for the holiday and he was there. That weekend he kissed me on top of the ferris wheel at the local town fair. So, ferris wheels are our thing. We ended up marrying other people but, after years of living in miserable marriages we both were divorced and decided to look each up and were married within 6 months.
I absolutely loved hearing your story. My hubby and I first laid eyes on each other at a rodeo, but never spoke. A week later I called a friend asking if she knew anyone who woked on cars cheap. My 1966 cherry red mustang brakes were going out on my car.She named 6 brothers.I chose the name James.I made appointment to go to his house on that Monday. When I got there he said aren't you that girl from the fair? He fixed my brakes, and worked on my car all week.his borthers would come out to the garage and say I thought you fixed her brakes Monday. He said he felt sorry for me so did alot, including waxing and buffing my car. That Friday after 5 days he couldn't think of anything else to do to my car.My parents thought I traded it in.It looked like new car! When I left he said maybe I'll call you some time and we could go have coffee.I thoughy yay right! But next morning he called and we went up north drove all day,had coffee and got to know each other.had lunch and dinner together, then from then on we dated for 3 years. We now are happily married 43 years.
My Sweetheart of 38yrs & I met while he was singing at an Easter Concert. I visited with his relatives. Lots of Southern Quartets singing. I was 12yrs old. Afterward, his cousin and I were getting autographs on the Program brochure of the groups. I asked him for his. He told his mom, "That silly girl over there wants my autograph". His mom said, just give it to her. Five yrs later, we started seeing each other and have been blessed to be together for 38yrs.
Love the guacamole!! We met at church then after a beach summer holiday we fell in love - I was 13 he was 17 - we got married I was 17 and he 21. Still happily married after 42 years - 3 kids and 4 grand babies later - God is so good 😊
My husband and I met because we worked in the same Video Games Company. He started talking to me over the work messenger system, and then stalked me at a BBQ birthday party we were separately invited to. I kind of did my best to stay away from him at first, but then we ended up together. He asked me to marry him the first time after only 2 weeks, and I must have given him a crazy look and said that is way too fast you cannot ask me that right now. He asked again about 4 months later, new years eve, during the strokes of midnight and this year was our 7th wedding anniversary, together 9 years. We have moved 8 times, 3 countries and have 2 children in that time as well. Loved this video. :)
Y’all are so stinking cute together! My husband straight up stalked me (we worked together) before I agreed to date him. I didn’t have FaceBook so that was frustrating for him. But he was persistent with notes on my car, movies tickets, gifts, lol, I finally agreed to a park date (well-light public place) and we’ve been together and happy for 11 yrs now. And yes, I was very impressed by his book collection too! He was from Franklin, TN and I helped him move to my neck of the woods since we were working at the same place. But I didn’t sniff the books lol. I’ve been following Dr Berry for a little while because of his advice on low-carb, high fat diet which I’ve started to try to stop my migraines. So happy for you both!
i love this! I started watching Ken's videos in 2020 then loved the Q and A's and the vibe of Neisha sent me to her channel, loved her older videos its nice to see a human on you tube! She's so cool just full of joy and real. That said I wondered on how these two met and here I am. So nice learning of people you learn from. PS my body is so much healthier doing ketovore two special folks here! Thank you for all your videos I think you are both Angels!
I absolutely love your story. I’m glad you worked through the early years and know you both have your soft place to fall. I was an office manager for a chiropractor and had just dropped 78 pounds. I talked to all the patients but one stopped by to chat every time he was leaving. We started talking about my weight loss and he told me he was a heart bypass patient who was also a marathon runner and triathlete. He had his first heart attack at 38. Our first date was my watching him in a triathlon. I didn’t know what a triathlon was, so he was going to show me. Not a great spectator sport🤷♀️ We had a great time and decided we would work out together. I was a night person, usually in bad at midnight because I didn’t have to be at work until 9:00 a.m. He was a morning person, to bed at 7:30 up at 3:00. He was knocking on my door at 3:30 in the morning to go run. I decided somebody was going to have make a change and since he had to be at work at 5:30 it was going to be me. We got married a year later. He was an field engineer which meant he had to go where the job was. He ask me if I could live like that, I said yes. He said I will never take a job that isn’t family status. We lived in 17 states, sometimes several cities in the same state also the Philippines, Canada, Iceland and Australia. Needless to say his triathlon days were over with all the moving but we both always worked out and ran. We were living in Seattle on his 62nd birthday and he ran the Seattle marathon, finished in 4 hours and 20 minutes. Needless to say we had quiet the life for 30 years. I only wish and wonder how things might be today if we had known about the Keto/Carnivore way of life.
Met my hubby at work. Was married within 6 months. Been married for 30 years. Love your story and the guacamole looks fabulous. Now I want to make some...love cilantro!
My husband & I met in a night club where we were both auditioning for a band. After playing for 3 nights we were asked to join. And we did. That was many years ago & we’re still happily married. I enjoyed your video about how you both met. Very cool.💌👀
Thanks for telling yalls story. I just started keto and the docs videos make it simple. I am only about 30 miles north of Nashville we welcome good folks like yall. It is rare that a MD and his wife take the time to be so honest and to just tell the story like it is. Thanks to you both.
I just got turned on to both of yours videos and love love your keto lifestyle and marriage. You all remind me of ourselves. You asked how we met.....well....in AA. But 35 yrs later - we made it work and it is more of a love story than most. Thanks for sharing your story and being so open. You give others hope for turning their life around when you keep it real. Thx for all you give to others!!💜
I made fry chicken ( well actually my girlfriend helped me) for him. He came over to my moms house and we still enjoy being in the kitchen today. Married 30 years with four precious children and 3 precious gran babies. Love y’all story!!!!!!!❤️
Love hearing your story. My hubby and I met online and our first date was Wendy's for dinner lol and then a walk on the beach after. We've been together for almost 10 years and married for almost 5. We now live not far from you guys in Knoxville. We love Tennessee so much. We also have both been eating the ketogenic way since January 13th and he has lost 35 lbs and is at his goal weight. I have lost almost 90 lbs and I have about 50 more to go. Love you guys and everything that you do!
Enjoyed.thank you for the guacamole recipe. Our first date we went bowling with friends then stayed up all night talking. At 6 in the morning we realized the time and each had to go home to get ready for work. We dated for 3 years before we got married. We were together for another 18 years before he passed away from cancer.
Enjoyed your story! That was fun! My husband and I met at the Pizza Hut where we were both working, I was 16, he was 19. We've been married 43 years since last July.
You make a lovely couple and it was lovely to listen to your story. I met my husband online, neither of us were looking for a relationship so we were very honest with each other. He is American and was living in San Francisco, me from the Garden of England. I thought it was odd a couple of weeks after we started writing that he referred to me as his future wife but could not doubt that we had a rapport that did not fade, just got stronger. After about six months of writing I started to feel like I was falling in love with him. At this point we had not even exchanged photographs, but I didn't really care what he looked like. He always says we fell in love with our invisible selves. We started to speak on the phone which was so exciting. I loved his smooth American accent and he found my accent equally exotic. Our first call lasted for 6 hours and then we spoke once a week through the night. A year after we met online I flew out to meet him. Not something I would ever suggest as a good idea to anyone to fly to a foreign country to meet a man by oneself. But I did it and when we met I knew I loved him. He proposed the next day and six months later he came to England and we got married, this November we celebrate our 18th anniversary. We also did fight a lot at first. It was mainly a power thing. Both of us are independent people and I would get cross at stupid things like one day I came home and found he had changed all my kitchen cupboards around. We both hated fighting and one day after a very bad fight where we both said it wasn't working out and he should return to America, we both looked at each other and realised we loved each other more than the things we argued about. I gave over the power thing to him as it seemed more important for him to feel in charge, but you know he cannot make a decision about anything. So usually I end up deciding the best course for us to take. The only important thing in my life is that he loves me and I him.
Intellectual stimulation is a huge part of a good relationship. Our first date was excellent conversation over a good meal, that's how I found the love of my life!!!
I enjoyed this very much thank you. I meet my husband on a camping trip around a campfire playing guitar I play also we sing and harmonize. Married 25 years now still on stage old rock, blues and bluegrass and country rock. Still love camping and love to cook together.
I met my hubby in church youth group in 1980. After one Sunday service, we ate lunch at Bob’s Big Boy with my cousin and her boyfriend (now hubby) and I was so nervous, I couldn’t eat a bite of the meal he bought for me. We’ve been married 36 + years, loving each other more each day.
I met my husband on 4th of July weekend in San Carlos, Mexico on a scuba diving trip. I was certified and he was getting his PADI certification. He sat next to me when we sailed on to the dive site. And my first impression of him was, he’s so nice.
Great video, loved it! My hubby and I met in college, our friends started dating, we were "just friends" for a long time. I think it's better to be great friends so you know who you are falling in love with...married 37 years ago, I was a mere 21 yo!
I always thought you guys were an odd match, but after hearing your story, it's clear you're perfect for each other! I met my hubby in HS. He dated a couple of my friends briefly, and then the next year we had geometry together and became friends. He looked up my number in the phone book late one Saturday night, and we went to the movies the next day and to a park, where I accidentally stepped in doggy do, which he still teases me about. Who would have thought then that we would end up where we are now, married 24 years with 3 great kids. Crazy! It hasn't always been easy, but what a ride!
My husband and I met on MYSPACE!! dated for 6 months, moved in together, then got married 13 months after the day we met in person. This past March was our 10 years anniversary. Btw, we're from San Antonio Texas! Also, we've lost 140 lbs combined through keto/if!
I've been following you both ever since I started Keto three years ago. Dr. Berry I want to thank you for all the informative videos! They really helped me a lot. Thank you for all the information you shared. You are a blessed man to have a wife like Neisha. Also, she's very blessed to have you for a husband. Don't even get me started on Beckett! What a love bug!! I have to tell you both that I have made respect for you both, however, there's something about this specially sweet video, that tends to make me respect you both even more. Such a sweet story, and such honesty, between you both, and to share that with us, is very heartwarming. Thank you both! Many kisses to sweet Beckett!
My husband and I had been dating for three weeks when he asked me to marry him. I said yes and two months later we got married. We will be celebrating 44 years of marriage this December!
Toni McDonald Congratulations! My husband proposed after 3 weeks and we celebrated 40 years this year.
@@SherryFurlowND That is awesome! Congratulations to you too!
Ha, me too! Dated 3 months prior to engagement, and celebrating 30 yrs. of marriage next May.
that is awesome!
WOW!!!! that is a beautiful story! Congratulations!!❤❤❤
Wow I also got engaged very quickly (4 weeks of knowing each other) and he proposed at red lobster lol
Well, carnivore is for deciders. No bullshit. 😅
Amen! Red Lobster sealed the deal ❤
How did your little brother do?
My husband was one of my first patients. When he asked me out, I told him I couldn't bc I wouldn't cross that line. That day he transferred his treatments to the competitor across town, changed MD's and the next week he came into my job with flowers asking me out again. For our first date, he cooked me an amazing dinner. We were married a year later. When you know, you know. ❤
Awesome 💎 and congrats
So he fired you because you weren't giving him the "goodies" ... and that's cute?
Bold patient

Thank you so much for watching and commenting !! The recipe is as follows, very simple
it’s just 4 avocados, the juice of 4 limes, 2 bunches of cilantro, half a red onion, a cup of chopped tomatoes and then season to taste 🥑
The little limes are called Key limes. As in: Key Lime Pie.
It’s higher acidity is what makes that dessert work.

No jalapeños?
Sounds like great guacamole!-We need a KETO... Key Lime pie recipe! Hook us up! (Only for very special occasions, of course!) I realize sweets are not your fav... but.. please!
Thank you Neisha for the recipe. It really looks delish...gotta try it soon!
I think I just met my husband!"
That was 26 yrs ago & we are now grandparents to twins. A boy & a girl!💕💕
I prayed for my sweet hubby! I knew no dedicated Christian men near my age! And God answered! 58 years and counting! God is good!
Cathy Timbs amen
Amen,,I prayed for my husband too,,,married 45 years❤️
❤❤❤
My husband and I met online and talked for three days before we realized we were neighbors across the street from each other- I could see his balcony from my apartment balcony. I didn’t want to date because I was freshly divorced, but since he was my neighbor I agreed to meet him. We met at 1 am at the Waffle House and pretty much stayed together every spare minute we had after that. We have been married 17 years and have four boys from 6-16 😁
Love your love story
That's a lovely story
That's what romance movies are made of.

I met my husband at the skating rink, when I fell down he tripped over me. Now I tell everyone that he picked me up at the skating rink.( literally)
Two weeks later he asked me to marry him, four months later we were married. And 30 years later we still feel like Honeymooners.
Happy Guacamole Day Ken and Neisha!!!! May Baby Berry arrived safely and in good health.
🤣🤣🤣
So happy I found this oldy but goody...my husband and I met online. Our first date was at an authentic German restaurant on New Year's Eve and we closed it down at 2am. We still go back there every year...that is "our place". We both had been single for about 7 years before we met later in life. We are happy we found each other!
Later in life is better!
Ohhhhh Dr. Berry 😂😂 I heard a side of you I never would have expected. I love your honesty Neisha! Such a cute story ❤️❤️
My
Dad signed me up for secretary type classes. Both eat keto.
that a great story!
love it!
You can do this! 👍😊
My husband I, both born-again believers, met at a fellowship meeting on September 20 and were married on October 17 of the same year. He was 56 and I was 32. We were married 30 years until he went home to be with the Lord in 2005.
Miss him much!
beautiful!
that is so beautiful. i cannot wait to meet the man God has planned for me. he’s definitely smiling on you from heaven 🤗
❤❤❤🤗
I just love they way you both are so down to earth. You make your audience feel so comfortable .
Gurl there's gonna be a fight up in heaven!
Love it!
Great story.
Awww! What a sweet story.
Thanks for sharing, what a great story
Exactly why you just need to be yourself, so you can find the right one.
My husband saved our first date in his planner and 30 years later still reminds me about our “special anniversary “ every year
I married my husband covid style in May 2020. We are newlyweds. We both have been praying about moving to Tennessee. We both love the Lord so much. Im so glad I came across
Dr. Berry's videos. Both of you are amazing individuals 🤙😊
Congratulations!!!
that was special..not that we need to know your business, but your honesty and patience with each other is precious.
My friend said, “It must be something special because you’re never late!”
A year and a half later we got married, we have never had a fight, and I promise our love grows every year. This year was 17 years we’ve been married, we have a 15 yo son, and we still love each other’s company, even if it’s a quiet night at home. I grateful every day that he care into my life and he’s my best friend and my rock.
Love your story!
This could be a Nicholas Sparks novel.
To make a long story short and I mean short, we were married 4 months later and will celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary on October 2nd.
love this - a Godly man aka husband is a rare find we are both blessed. Congrats on your soon 37th Wedding Anniversary.

This video made me so hungry for Guacamole. We were very young so our first date was a movie in our little home town of 2000 people. We married when he was 18 and I was 19. We’ve been married 46 years and have 4 children and 12 grandchildren. I loved hearing about y’all and your story.

Loved to hear your love story!!! 🥑

Really interesting & honest... U guys are so great!!!❤
This lady has your number. She's the real deal. Better make sure to hold onto her. She's a gem.
A healthy human diet for a truly HEALTHY, VERY HUMAN couple! I think I love you guys more than ever from watching this. Seriously.
My husband and I knew each other 2 weeks when he asked me to marry him. Soon be 44 years in October.
Congrats to you! I will have been married 40 years come October.
40 years for us too. Knew after a week, he was the one. Married 2 years later. You guys made my day...such a kick.
Thank you guys for being so transparent and honest with us. I loved you sharing this with us I love you both.
Awwwww!! I love your story!

What a great story of redemption (my favorite kind of story)! Thank you for sharing, Neisha and Dr. Berry!
So you guys are normal....and are winning at it, through growth. Bravo.
Love the guacamole!! We met at church then after a beach summer holiday we fell in love - I was 13 he was 17 - we got married I was 17 and he 21. Still happily married after 42 years - 3 kids and 4 grand babies later - God is so good 😊
You are very lucky. God bless you. I iwsh I had that lovely happiness :)
Amen!
This is one of my favorite videos. I love how honest it is. Y'all are awesome. Thanks for sharing 🌹
Thanks to you both.
became a widow at 57, three years ago, hoping to not be alone the rest of my life. you both seem very happy,
I just got turned on to both of yours videos and love love your keto lifestyle and marriage.
Hi, I'm new to my Carnivore (2wks) and this was lovely to meet you both. You've given me hope with Love too lol. Thank you so much. Julie 🌹💕
Burnt gingers
You two are wonderful and so nice of you to open up like this to all of us. She is definitely a keeper,👍💐
I met my husband at a church retreat...22 years ago...we still celebrate the day we met❤️💙
A wonderful story of two people who were meant to be a lifelong couple.
I loved listening to your story on how you met. What a nice story. I appreciate your transparency with all of us. Thank you.
