You must have arrived a bit earlier than I did - I got there not long after 4pm and there were so many cars that I was parked on the bank out beyond that last gate on the driveway.
I won’t leave spoilers for part two, but will just add it was an odd mix of cars - there were two [super rare car] and two [other super rare car], but mine was the only humble little MG Midget!

I must confess, I can't quite remember our arrival time. For various reasons this show has been 'bumped' further ahead on our play list than normal - we post 1 main video a week so this (as you know) was circa 3 months ago. Maia & I were very impressed with the show and the setting, being the first time we'd been. You're right - it was a wide mix of cars but we quite liked that. Have a soft spot for a Midget - if you click on the Community Tab for this channel you'll see 3 pictures of a yellow Midget I went to France in - many many years ago. I think there's 3 parts to the show in total - every Saturday at 3pm is our posting time. Cheers & thanks for watching. Mike & Maia (ps please consider subscribing - it's free!!!)

The Castrol Transit is really cool looking!
The colour of the Porsche 911 at 3:30 is really looking so great. I've seen this colour on them a few times - it is my favourite in terms of elegance. The white seats also confirm the elegance.
Nowadays I find such an ealry Austin Metro really attractive. This one is even in a great looking condition.
Amazing looking Chevy and also the '57 Bel Air. A black Austin A35 - I've seen one last Sunday, too.
International Pickup truck ... yet I've never seen one before. But it's looking really lovely.
Edsel is really a beautiful car. I've seen a couple of them in the last 10 years.
Lovely MGB but also the XJ-S
Riley Elf, very cool! The saloon of the Mini
Loving the blue Mercedes S-class (W126). An uncle also had one like this. My Dad told me that he also once drove it and it was wonderful to drive. Was the same colour and with these plastic wheel caps. Assuming it's the 280 SE because the others usually had alloys. I can only remember there was no model badge on the rear end.
    Sunbeam Alpine - beautiful!
Really a great variety of great cars! And there was even a bear, hehe!

I really liked the Castrol Transit as well!! It was left hand drive so I'd be interested to know its history. The Austin Metro literally looked brand new - definitely a Festival of the Unexceptional contender. I thought the International Harvester pick up truck was very reasonably priced - and with a more modern engine swap would have been easy to live with too - although that would probably devalue it. There were so many amazing American cars there - but the Edsel was special. It's funny - my ex father in law had a W126 Mercedes S class just like that one - his was gold with a dark brown interior. So I have driven one and liked it - so well built - cool wiper!!!! 2 more parts to come of this show. All the best Sven, Mike & Maia.

@@OldCarsNewVan With the high rooftop I wouldn't wonder if the Transit has been a former Fire car. Some of these rare survivors over here were from Fire departments.
I thought the same about the International Harvester Truck - only a five digit, sounds like a very nice price.
The Edsel is really something special. I heard a lot of times that the car was very unloved when it was built but nowadays the people are seeing its beauty and it's fingerlicking good.
Driving a W126 must be an amazing experience. A colleague of mine also had one when she was young - her parents had their own butchery. So also when you're pushing the pedal to the metal when the front just goes up while accelerating and the sound of the engine.
Have a great Sunday you both. I am just having my breakfast, now. And then I am starting to Speyer because there's a Sci-Fi Meet at the Technic Museum that I want to check out (been there last time in 2019 at this meet and I found it very interesting).

@@OldCarsNewVan Thanks a lot Mike & Maia! I had a fantastic day in Speyer at the Sci-Fi Meet at the technic museum. I'll try to create a music video in advance because there were some Mandolarians dancing around, haha. Let's see what the Suno AI can do for me ... because the original music is of course a copyright problem.

That was my thought Tree sap.
Nice show. I much prefer a mixed show rather than one make. Variety as they say.
The 911 nice. I like the full fat versions in your face look wide body whale tail in Guards Red or White.
Some interesting American cars and interesting Transit.
That Harvester seems like very good value to me.
We have seen the Keiser Darin before and very nice it is. I assume he had (Paul the extra terrestrial with him he, he )
You were correct when you said primrose for the MGB. suits them so well and many others.
    Cheers for the shout out.
I like the mk2 MR2 best. Very much like a small Ferrari in design .I think they peaked at that point for me.
The Island Blue Mini next to the Riley elf think i saw that at Wentworth last year and very nice it was too. It had rare dark blue leather. Yum Yum.
Nice Chevy Bel air , i just love American cars of this era late 50's, early 60's and 70's. The pale Primrose suits the car so well and helps them not look too big.
They are not for everyone but i like the BRM Rover, the red interior is lovely. Often thought it would be nice to have one.
Great show Mike look forward to part 2.

Got away with the sap thankfully! It was a wide mix as someone (who was there) has just commented. We liked it though and I thought the setting was lovely. 3 parts in total for this show. I can't remember if the ET was with the Kaiser Darrin on this occasion - I first saw it at Wentworth Woodhouse which first got you and me talking because you were there too. It's a fascinating car - and so unusual. Overall the turn out was of a very high standard with some really interesting cars. If anything Parts 2 & 3 I think are stronger than this opener. Early start tomorrow as we venture back to Thoresby for the last time this year - I'm going to try and film the cars moving as they arrive for a change. Hopefully it'll stay dry. Cheers, Mike

Hi, Does anyone know the title of this song or where I could find it please ?

Hi - I'm so glad you like it. That is 'Dizzy' our Rover P6 theme tune which I wrote via an Artificial Intelligence music maker programme. If you'd like to listen to the whole tune (3min, 17 seconds of it) go back on this channel to a video I posted on 14th June featuring our car and the entire song. And please consider Subscribing - it's free and really helps us out. Cheers
