My boyfriend is a big, big The Last of Us fan, and he happens to be with someone who is very fond on watches and their history (me), when I give him this, he is gonna lose his mind and I cannot wait. Thank you so much :D
actually it means "quartz" and "dirty dozen", because the translation for dirty dozen literally means "12 steel men", hence "steel" in the other comment.
I wear mine on a Seiko SNK 800 blasted bracelet, they're £18 new & it looks great. Fair warning though mine has only one set of spring bar holes, an early watch I think not sure if it will fit your version.
Your video just made me pull the trigger. The way you talk about it and something you really like . . . . . Thats priceless, thanx for that and cheers from Mexico City.
Fantastic watch. Military style quartz with a sapphire crystal and 100m WR is hard to find. Tho, 36mm won't cut it for me and my 7.75 inch wrist. I hope there is a 40mm version.
Follow the link and you will find others among the selections including the size you need with various movements and handset configs :). Thanks for watching.
I looked at the product perimeters. I wonder what its water resistance is ? It wasn't listed. I apologize if you told us. Lovers of vintage watches would love it. I got one used on e bay.
Cheers Wes. I must admit that Baltany are doing it right. Niche market and high quality to price ratio. This is my second Baltany review...have another watch to review and it looks pretty good as well!
Difficult one that. Both exceptional quality - wise. I suppose you would have to decide which style is best and how it would fit into your daily life. That's how I make decisions on watches. What need does it fill in my collection...or is it just a want that could really be discounted altogether? Have a great Christmas 🎄 :)
i have a seiko snk809 the glass is worn out and the case is scratched, i am considering getting this watch but i am not familiar with the movement is it reliable?
The watch in my review is a quartz version with the Seiko VD78 which is well known and very reliable. Perhaps you have been looking at other versions Baltany produce with the Seagull movement? The Seagull movement is also very well known with lots of history. It is also very accurate. Personally I would pick the version that suits your lifestyle. If you are active and always on the go, then stick with quartz. An accurate grab and go piece. Thanks for watching:)
@@johnswatchjoint yes you re right, i never go out without watch on my wrist but maybe i consider to get the seagull version because i'm more of automatic guy
You would help yourself if you actually watched the video. It was one of my earliest videos when I was still building my confidence and presenting skills but at 5 minutes in I go through the sizes as I always do.
I do now but as I said the video was done when I was just finding my way and it was made very difficult by people actively criticising me even though they have never created a video themselves!
can i buy womens watch my wrist is to slim. i have 5.5 inch wrist i saw womens watch measured 38mm case 46mmlug to lug 16mm lug with and its mechanical.. it just simple skeleton watch
I really like the "broad arrow" touch. That symbol goes back past the 15th century.

Hi there. Thanks for watching and I hope your boyfriend is delighted with it :)
That Baltany is fantastic. (Honestly the case looks similar to a Hamilton field watch. Which is fitting.)
These characters mean “quartz” and “steel”.
Hi. What characters?
@@johnswatchjoint Probably those handwritten on that piece of paper you've pulled out of the package.

Hi Juan. Thank you for watching the video. Glad I helped you make a great choice. Remember to subscribe. Cheers from Scotland :)

Thank you for the review.

As stated in the video 100m... which is confirmed on Baltany website.
Just bought one, beautiful time piece
Nice! ;)
you see the 3K price tag on the overpriced vertex. the vaer has the same movement and sells for 500
Nice work mate, this one does look pretty impressive for the price. I have one on the way and I'm quite excited to check it out. Cheers

Seeing that you reviewed both watches- would you take this watch or the bubble back instead?

What brand of Nato strap is that?
Nothing special. I usually buy from eBay or WatchGecko if they have strap sales on.
Did you end up keeping it ? it's very nice.
I did keep it for a few months but as a watch reviewer I do have to move them on...or I would be broke...and divorced :)
@@johnswatchjoint Haha not worth a divorce!
Tempted by this. This quartz version is appealing too, as I’m starting to consider all of the automatic watches I will need to service one day!
Check it out in the big AliExpress Sales to see if it is on discount...if not I know Baltany UK are doing discounts too :)
Sorry John I still don’t know , is this the 36 or the 39 case ? You know it would help if you start your review with the specs .
You would help yourself if you actually watched the video. It was one of my earliest videos when I was still building my confidence and presenting skills but at 5 minutes in I go through the sizes as I always do.

is this watch water resistant? if so, how many bars?
Following the link takes you to all the specs. It is 10bar.
Note says : Quartz Full 😁
It’s Joel watch
Yeah, that's how I wear my NATOs too. 😄
Aha ..another in the know! :)
