Hey guys ! Really great action videos ! I'm building a losi 5t with a tailor 50gt , would you recommend Taylor 3 inch tires or two inch ? Also what gearing do you have in that beast ?

Big gassers are so much fun. Mine is stock with a pipe and velocity stack on a 32cc. Isnt as fast as these are by a long shot but is still a blast. If people only knew. Yes they are loud and yes they look slow but really arent. Quite a few people also think an electric setup in these things also makes them as fast as the big bores. I have NEVER seen anything with an 8s system keep up with a 40 and not overheat. 12s wont keep up with the 50cc and definitely not an electric system out there keeping up with the new 90cc engines.
that's great to know. getting Losi 5ive T 2.0 this week and it's my first gas coming from electric (8s). If I like it, I will go ham with a 50cc or even larger if I can control the car.
@@harbinger26 I can assure you that you will like it a lot. I was the guy who said at one time a 1/6 is the biggest i will ever buy. When I got the 5ive T (because there was a really good deal going on) it absolutely had me shook. Run times, the size, durability, and just the overall attention grabbing of it has put it on the top of my favorites list. 2 things i recommend. 1) (is more for safety than anything) !!!!!!Killswitch!!!!!!! I've never had a runaway, but i have experienced a runaway with a nitro rc and at 38 pounds dry weight, you will do damage. 2) Killer RC 7200 kv lipo 2s receiver battery. I run 3 seperate runs, 45 minutes each full tank, and the battery after the 3 runs is still 3.90 per cell. Each of the 3 runs never runs the tank dry and leave 1/4 tank when i refill.
@@SebastianLong I'm stoked to hear it. I've got a DBXLe 2.0 and it is amazing. I was on the fence about gas just because I'm not sure where I can run it, but I guess I'll just figure it out later or roll the dice at a local park when no one is around. Killer bee kill switch is already in my mailbox. That Rx battery sounds great. I actually have a voltage regulator coming that'll let me use a 4s battery for the Rx and steering servos, so planned on doing that as opposed to Rx pack AND separate steering servo pack.
Also when you say you haven't seen 8s keep up with 40cc, do you mean that you've never seen THESE vehicles when converted to electric be faster, or 8s in general? Wondering if a 40cc Losi 5ive would be faster than, say, an 8s XRT/Kraton/DBXLe or if you simply meant that an 8s Losi 5ive isn't as fast as a 40cc Losi 5ive.
@@harbinger26 I mean the 8s 5T isnt as fast as the 40cc gas 5T. It is a 40mph truck out of the box but it comes stock with a conservative build. I have the pipe and aftermarket filter and i hit 50mph on the dirt. Bump it up like 3 teeth on the pinion and i bet it will get at least 55. The stock pipe is extremely restrictive and the aftermarket pipe alone gives it a noticeable bump in power.
Is that a losi 5t 1.0 or a losi 5t 2.0? I ask cause some motors fit in one version and not the other...nuce video
