The biggest issue for me is the whole AI plot and logic. Harlan learning about wars from Atlas and suddenly decides to cleanse earth. and turns on mother without knowing her purpose. Then the fact that AI lost to humans when this whole turnover was private. Harlan could have infected the whole world, hacked the whole world without anyone knowing. And then he leaves to another planet. and does not produce a whole big society of AI or a whole world of all technology. All those years and he builds a small base that looks like a warehouse.
Yeah that harlan+atlas= 💀mother made no sense to me like i would get it if she was low key evil with him but she was teaching him good things and in an instant is hell bent on human annihilation.

The movie is just a copy of terminator where machines take over and try to exterminate mankind but instead of focusing on that the movie focus's on her therapy session...she just ruined a sci fi movie.
The AI plan didn't even make sense, surely the defense grid has better security than "does the ship have the right password". Especially since the ship went on a dangerous mission carrying planet destroying arsenal and then lost contact.
The mechs seems to be extremely modular. You are right...they could have and they ran out of time. Idk 😶 if the AI really didn't expect to be found....I think 🤔 the AI would only have military training if they link to a military person. Which is speculation and doesn't help the confusion.

I think it's fair if you value money more than time. If it's time then okay sure. But money wise you get better value for sure with streaming because afterwards you can go watch something else. You also feel different about something if you spent $5 vs say $25 . The price typically plays a role

I actually think they stole more from Mech Warrior. You know, those dope older Mech games? One of the biggest ones was actually called the Atlas. So, that’s likely where they got their inspiration from.
Nah, it's a lot closer to Titanfall. The mechs look a lot more similar than those of Mech Warrior. Plus the whole mech AI talking with the pilot. And one of the Mech types in Titanfall is also called Atlus.
God it was so bad, why didn't they just use Titanfall 2 story. It would have been so good with that budget. For a $100m, this film should have been a lot better.

It's not a complete train wreck.....It's not going to win any awards, but if you turn your brain off, and want a fun popcorn movie....This could fit the bill. One thing though....This is not Titan Fall. Yes it has similar mechs, but that's it....Don't go into it with that in your head.

Sure it's a bit cringe and the writing isn't that great, but as a TitanFall fan, I loved this movie. I loved the interactions between J-Lo and Smith, and I really wanted more of that.
I love SciFi and this movie was terrible. I found it hard to watch. the CGI was hit or miss and the writting was god-aweful. I do not recomend this movie to anyone :(

I dont understand why there has to be a scale and acceptability when the Average Big screen movie Budget is Between 60 mil and 100 Mil. This movies Budget was 100 mil so they had no excuse with budget nor the actors. That's what I told my cousin after watching this together: you know we could've just played Titanfall 2, much better plot, actually fun, and on sale it would’ve been cheaper than a Netflix subscription.

I liked it. I’d give it a solid 7. The music and supporting actors held it up in my opinion.

The biggest mistake was falling back on the "I have to kill the world to save it" trope.
AI is logical and it's only logical that an intelligent being would see humanity as a threat to the planet
And then you add in the fact that they created the AI and then turned on them when they wanted to be free
JLo Titanfall Movie is what the movie should've been called.

1)Some are successful others fail. The industry is a gamble and no one wants to lose money. J lo helped produce the film seems like she invested in herself.
2) consumers have options. They don’t have to watch sludge. They choose to watch. Theres enough good content no one is forced to watch this unless you are an actual critic.

It's not a complete train wreck.....It's not going to win any awards, but if you turn your brain off, and want a fun popcorn movie....This could fit the bill. One thing though....This is not Titan Fall. Yes it has similar mechs, but that's it....Don't go into it with that in your head.

This movie is actually good in my opinion the wittiness of Smith was actually funny and i like the premise, it reminded me of Deus Ex and Titanfall put together
Sure it's a bit cringe and the writing isn't that great, but as a TitanFall fan, I loved this movie. I loved the interactions between J-Lo and Smith, and I really wanted more of that.
Compared to some of the garbage we have got lately, this is a good movie. Worth a watch imo.
The budget of this movie was on-par with silver-screen movies. This movie is unequivocally terrible.
I love SciFi and this movie was terrible. I found it hard to watch. the CGI was hit or miss and the writting was god-aweful. I do not recomend this movie to anyone :(

If J-Lo's gigantic ego let her be less angry, brave and serious this would've been at least bearable. She overacted worth a trilogy here. And the cgi - oh my GOD. Some scenes looked like a PS3 game. A cheap PS3 game.
kong x godzilla cgi was also atrocious, i watched godzilla minus one it was a million times better and made by like 20 people

I don't think it's fair to score them on a scale just because it's "streaming". The movie had a reported 100 million dollar budget - it's only fair to compare budgets of films, regardless of where they're released.
Imagine what most talented indie directors could achieve with this level of budget...
I just watched the film for a netflix film it was decent easy watch first half is a bit iffy but the second half does get a bit better in my opinion

The Mechs in Titanfall are called Atlas too! I tuned in just for the TF aspect of this I was hoping for more cloning of the TF universe.

The writers don't even try to explain how they can travel to the Andromeda Galaxy in a few hours/days, yet they can't detect weapons on the surface of the planet. They also decided to send a small force to take down a hostile AI that had more than 30 years to prepare for them.
This movie was trash, and at the same time it was a masterpiece compared to Rebel Moon 2, and that says a lot

I forget who predicted it, but holy shit has big tech and hollywood been pushing REAL HARD to make AI a 'good' thing in the public eye with movies like this. Any media coming out now promoting some flavor of AI as good is literally just trying to convince us for later down the road when they nuke entire writing or other positions so they can save a buck and have a machine do it
Its basically a rip off of titanfall and will Smith's I Robot not-asamove asimove adaptation. With a dash of The Creator sprinkled in for bad measure.

I dont understand why there has to be a scale and acceptability when the Average Big screen movie Budget is Between 60 mil and 100 Mil. This movies Budget was 100 mil so they had no excuse with budget nor the actors. Netflix has the budget, the actors and experience to produce the same grade of movies as the Big screen and they have done so before, they just choose not to because Reasons.
I feel like a better Smith return stinger at the end would've been:
Atlas *just* waking up, and going to her machine to get a coffee. The coffee maker goes "I'm sorry, I can't do that. You're above your daily limit." She goes "Huh?" Then the thing spits out her coffee and goes "That was a joke."

I actually enjoyed this movie. The action, pacing and story were good. Normally I am not a JLo fan but thought she did a good job with this one.
That's what I told my cousin after watching this together: you know we could've just played Titanfall 2, much better plot, actually fun, and on sale it would’ve been cheaper than a Netflix subscription.
