@@jaymeans8299 Like the Lost in Nightmares dlc and Night Terror mod. Make the game take place at night, and remove the shooting gauntlet on the car. Have that section be like the boat section from the Tribe area where you drive the car to different nearby towns and collect puzzle pieces for the door.

There is a difference between a game being a masterpiece and a game being fun. RE5 is a fun game only because of the coop, but it is a bad game. In RE5R, they have to completely abandon the old foundation.

If there's no co-op, they should just get rid of Sheva as a permanent partner altogether.
I mean, keep her part of the story and all, but if they're going to axe co-op, then there's no reason to keep an ever-present ally that essentially removes the fear factor of the game. RE5 with a partner is not scary, but at least it's still fun.
You talk as if the Co-op was created to be for the RE series. It is a horror game. You want the Co-op to play Call of duty. Are you afraid to play the game alone? Co-op is an old trend that entered the series and ruined it. Sales mean nothing, because if it were not for RE7, the series would have disappeared.

Unfortunately I have a feeling they won’t add co-op if they do a RE5 or RE6 remake because of the success of single player online only micro transactions trend that game companies are following nowadays. That’s why we never have any good co-op player features added in games anymore because developers won’t bother taking the time and effort to add the split screen feature plus when they can just be lazy and earn more money by charging players individually to get the game and play with their friends online and maybe buy some micro transaction foe some upgrades. In the early 2010’s most successful video game franchises wanted to copy call of duty’s split screen co-op revolution and so that’s why we saw it in RE5 and RE6 but it’s a different time now and game companies are over adding any co-op or split screen features sadly. I really hope I’m proven wrong and they still keep the feature but if they don’t I honestly wouldn’t be surprised and roll my eyes because it’s a typical greedy corporate move to just cash grab the remakes but not deliver the fan service or gameplay mechanics fans want

Apparently there's a fan made one in process where the player can choose between shoulder cam and fixed cam. Personally I'm happy with RE1R we have, but I'm interested in seeing the fan made version if it gets finished.

I played this fully with my brother at least 10 times, this is one of the most fun co op games we have playef ever, i loved it, i know its not a RE classic game and i dont care, so exited for the remake if it comes
We need RE1 Remade again using the RE Engine. We need Wesker to be better established as a villain for everyone new to the RE franchise. Us old schoolers know who he is but anyone new to the franchise would have to read the lore or watch old videos.

I'm sure the atmosphere will be even better than RE4. They just keep building upon the foundation set by previous titles.. RE Village for example was incredible to me and RE4 just went above and beyond.. just makes me so hyped for the next Remake and official 9th entry in the series 😁

I prefer the atmosphere of the 2 remake. Lets go back to survival horror. 4 was fun, but its still action adventure. Not scary in anyways. Just your basic shoot em up.
@NeutralGloomBot you have a good point, but the og RE4 was a bit goofier and I prefer the more serious tone of RE4 Remake. So I'd imagine with RE5 they would do the same in terms of atmosphere feeling scarier, less goofy and such.. heck, just having well desgined lighting and shadowing can dramatically change the tone of an existing scene. Let's see what Capcom cooks up for us 😎

OG RE5 still looks as impressive to me as it did back in the day. I couldn't believe the cutscenes were real-time! It also played hella smooth on the X360. There's a thing about Capcom making art and level design work together tightly to achieve a sharp look and detailed open areas that seem bigger than they actually are. That aside, RE5 was quite derivative of 3rd-person shooters of the era which took some rightful criticism, but it was a quick and enjoyable action game nevertheless. I really liked the setting and Sheva is a major babe! Made it easier to get over muscle-Chris fist-punching a f***in rock...
Yeah, RE5 still looks damn good, and holds up incredibly well for a game that is over fifteen years old and two console generations ago.
I know people dunk on the whole 'piss filter' and that generation's love of 'brown' and 'gray', but RE5 had a distinct art style. It wasn't going for straight 'realism', but the style really amplified the mood. The inspiration from films like Black Hawk Down is very noticeable (and even admitted to).
The game actually looked better to me than RE6 (and no, it's not just because people hate RE6 in general). I mean, RE6 looked good, but it was missing a distinct style. The lack of motion blur also made it look less impressive, IMO.
I have a feeling Capcom is going to ruin Sheva completely… just like they did Ashley… and I’ll have to play the game in Japanese again ‘cause the English voice acting sucked ass in the RE4 Remake.

I fell like they should keep the coop option in the re5r, however when playing solo, sheva should be treated in re4r formula where she has unlimited ammo and deals little to no damage and is only there to give melee prompts for enemies every so often, As for her health, she could adopt some kind of mechanic similar to ashley in the re4r where if she gets hit she is incapacitated and must be assisted and if she gets hit again while so she dies. That way we don't have to waste health and ammo on her while still preserving the original.
don’t know about the unlimited ammo part, the game is always about looking out for each other so helping each other out with giving certain guns, heals, ammo was crucial.

I really enjoyed the original RE5. I did multiple play throughs like RE4 but it was nice having multiplayer co op. I enjoyed RE4 remake a lot. I’m excited for this one! Wesker was one of my favorite villains of all time. I’m sure we’ll see the famous Chris Redfield punching a boulder once again 😂

Re5 holds the most memories right next to 4. I was young, but the co-op was just perfect. I remember meeting someone online and we just grinded over and over to collect as many gems as possible. Simple, but fun

Serious aside I really liked RE5 it was great and it had alligators and I was like augh, I really dig it because you can complete in segments and makes it easier to get the secretweapons which I would find more beneficial for me as well
I think its safe to say that re5 will definitely have a remake in the future but only after re code veronica remake since veronica is a set up to hype re5 remake even more.
If RE5 Remakes comes before CV, it's safe to say that a CV remake is never happening. It's already up in the air after they already skipped it for RE4.
There is something in RE5 that they need to remove, so only descendant fans will understand what I mean by this thing that was ruined the design of the areas, the design of the stages, it ruined the exploration, it ruined the backtracking, it ruined the puzzles, no bag, and it canceled the save room. There is no merchant، If they don't remove that thing, there's no need to bother making a new remake
I played it with family, so did not experienced the bad AI. RE5 and Mass Effect 3 are the games i replayed so much, it will be hard to say how many times! The melée and combos, tag team, my favorite part with non stop action. There is creative ways to make the day time more horrifying,

Best campaign coop I’ve ever played, loved it so hoping it’s right along the same lines as the resi 4 remake; true to the source content, lightly fettled to tighten it all up and keep it feeling new.
I am curious how much they’d be willing to go to adjust the story of 5 and 6 because there would need to be some drastic changes.
If 6 gets a remake that whole game needs a makeover I enjoyed the gameplay the story was terrible and Claire and Jill should’ve been in that game.

this is the first game i ever played of resident evil after watching the movies and then learning about the games. i thought the cover was chris and jill so i was sad when it wasnt with her on coop but i loved being able to play this with my sister and we've replayed it since. i hope they fix the door mechanics and make some more interesting settings because sometimes the areas sort of blended. also they should keep the dlc but expand it to be a little longer and deeper with jill and chris

@@imed-777 playing with friends makes a game more fun. These days there are many few good coop splitscreen games to play anymore even COD lost the ability to coop splitscreen.
Re5 was remembered for the splitscreen coop cuz it was the best part about the game, calling a bro over to complete a game together and make some memories sorry you lack people to invite over and have fun playing one of the most action packed segments in the series.
I can understand the hate on re6 cuz its story is terrible but re5 was really good in my opinion only when playing alone was it annoying cuz ai lacked a bit of brain cells

I hope they keep the local co-op for the RE5 remake. We put so many hours into that game with my brother, especially the Merceneries Mode.
I know this is 4 months old, but honestly, I WONDER if they'd actually do that. These games are much more demanding so couch co-op on console would be iffy (which is where I'm assuming split screen is more heavily done compared to PC).

If they remake RE5 I doubt they will ever go back in the story and remake Code Veronica.
That makes no sense. Code Veronica has a lot of Wesker content and explains him more deeply. It should (as much as I hate it) be the next remake, then RE5.
If RE5 comes before CV, I think that's the final nail in the coffin for CV getting a remake at all.

I know this may sound ridiculous but I've always wanted a playable Wesker outside of mercenaries. Like a mode where we can have fun with Wesker's powers. Sort of like a sandbox mode or something in that vein. It's a badass concept in my head but I don't know 🤔

Code Veronica helps set up Wesker as the big bad too. It will make his mainline appearance in the inevitable RE5 remake even better
It’s not. The only plot of CV is the reunion of Chris and Claire. Wesker is just a sidecharacter in this game so it sets up a shit. Don’t need another playing at the same area solving puzzles and fighting against low zombies with boring gameplay for hours, especially not after RE4 remake

When they announce the remake of re5 I hope they also include versus mode. It’s going to be a lot of grinding again to get to top 500 in public assembly.
I’m still surprised that no one has yet to mention that in Re4 Remake where Leon and Luis have to stand off in the house is the exact layout of the house from Public Assembly in Re5

I'd honestly prefer info on RE9. Makes more sense to go from a remake to a new game then back to a remake. Course, there's only so many games they can remake at this point.

Although RE3 remake did come right after RE2 remake, it was clear that there was a lot of asset re-use, and much less content.
The question is, which one gets remade after RE9? RE5 and CV are good candidates, but technically, they could always go back and remake RE1 again, or even RE0. Then there's the multitude of spinoffs like Outbreak, Revelations, and the original (but apparently canon) chapters from the 'Chronicles' games.

The sad thing is if CV comes first, we won’t get RE5 until close to 2030. I’m not personally looking forward to RE9. I’ll play it anyways, but I LOVE the remakes and glad we are getting the stories we love back again. Now if only we can get a solid Outbreak…

Code Veronica deserves to be the next remake - they should have gone with CV before doing 4 really. If/when they get around to 5 I'm really hoping that the ambience is a lot darker (RE doesn't look right when two thirds of it is sunny daytime), and that they make Irving and the rest of the supporting cast well developed/rounded characters because - other than the ambience and AI - the supporting characters are the only other seriously weak element of RE5.
RE5 deserves to be remaked first. Period.
@@ultraslan5613 nah I disagree, especially when CV is chronologically before 5. 4 onwards don't really need to be remade either, like I enjoy RE4R but it still felt unnecessary to make seeing as og4 still holds up strong as a decent game. 5 has lots of weak elements that a remake will polish up nicely so that it's less of a joke title, but CV needs those elements sorting too and it's style is unfortunately outdated now, so yeah I'd prefer CV first. Plus cheesy "waaaa sowrry laydee!" Steve deserves some love and attention more than the bland/cheesy RE5 cast.
Stop saying deserves. It doesn’t deserve a remake. Being a worse game does not mean you deserve it more. If you remake code, Veronica, and you remake 5, 5 has more potential to be a better game and make more money. Veronica may benefit from a remake more because it’s worse. Being worse does not make you more deserving.

@@Lo-Quality_HorrorGaming I think that was a result of the resolution. If you run the game at a lower resolution and use the regular AV cables it'll make the screens sit ontop of each other like normal.

I would actually argue that RE5 and RE6 are the games that would benefit from remakes the most--if for no other reason than to finally fix the tone problem. Those two games, especially now in light of the definitive continuity of the canon being all pretty tonally consistent as true horror, stick out like sore thumbs even more now as they fully embrace camp and run-and-gun action over atmosphere and scares. I think proper remakes of 5 and 6, done in the same style as the remakes for 2, 3, and 4, would really redeem those titles in the hearts and minds of many veteran RE fans who can appreciate the mechanics that worked about the original versions, but who like many of us felt disappointed by the lack of true horror elements.
RE 4 Remake has now shown that Capcom is capable of making a more action-oriented RE title that can still retain the spooky mood and horror elements. So, I do think 5, and eventually 6, will next get that treatment.
Code: Veronica is great, but it's already great. I don't "need" a new build of that game as much as I think new versions of 5 and 6 would be a necessary improvement.

So many good memories of playing re5 back in college. It's definitely not the beat but still deserves a remake. I think it has so much potential.

My brother and I bought the ps4 version of RE5 recently and have been replaying it together like old times. The gameplay does need updated, and the graphics, while not bad, could be better. Honestly tho it still holds up pretty well.
i also think it will be interesting if they do 2 game remakes with different dates. since new players who played since re2 remake are gonna be confused on who chris and wesker are cuz he mysteriously appeared in re4 remake dlc. i will he thankful if they reveal code veronica or re1 remake along with re5

@@OmegazeroX20 same, but i was happy that re4 remake had a good 12/15 hours to it. so hopefully even if they cut the future games down hopefully they add new levels, similar to the old ones and more play time

There are several RE that needs a Remake treatment. There is RE Zero, RE1, RE5, RE6, RE: Code Veronica. Not sure about the Revelations (haven't played part 1 nor 2). I wonder if they can pull off the Outbreak games and turn it into a massive multiplayer game.
RE5 was my first ever story/shooter game that I played probably my all time favorite game. I hope they don’t change too much because I really love it.
