      @wortho555no, they stay right there in Los Angeles where the residents tolerate them. If you polled all the homeless in LA, a very small percentage are from California. Almost all of them are from some other state. It’s genius really. Pack up the sick, lame and lazy, no send them to LA where we treat you like celebrities. It’s so awesome!!!

  • @jonryan5339
    @jonryan5339 Год назад +18

    You certainly have enough abandoned building just sitting around. Get the community involved to donate and put the homeless to work to clean, paint, and get some of those place's setup and ready to move into. By offering the ones who are willing and able to work and guaranteed a place to live in the building. This way they are off the street and have an actual address where mail can be received and a chance to get things going. Then have social workers come for a visit, heath workers, setup a soup kitchen, Chapple, fresh bedding, his/her shower, his/her bathroom. Laundry followed by simple rules in order to stay there. Other cities across the country have done it, why can't you???

    • @kameyeam
      @kameyeam Год назад +9

      You have that Disney idea of the tramp. These people will not work, will not follow rules. Otherwise, they would be in the shelters already existing. There is a guy in the video trying to get them indoors, you can clearly hear the lady say no. She said no, because she won't be allowed to do drugs all day, she'll have to contribute and not just sit around all day.
      If they truly were just people down on their luck, your solution would work.
      But they're junkies. They'll just destroy whatever facility you put them in.

    • @Ferreal92
      @Ferreal92 Год назад

      Hahahaha!!!!
      These people are addicts and drunks. Some with violent felony convictions. Most refuse shelter and health programs because such programs have rules regarding sobriety, convictions, and drug use. They just want to be free from responsibility. Period.

The economics of homelessness with benefits,subsidies and charity together with illicit substance abuse and trading makes this possible but impacts those trying to run proper businesses and lead normal lives. My recommendation is to remove all enablers (benefits etc) if they return and fine anyone who donates to them. In past times the workhouse was the solution for homelessness because it removes their control over others. It may be the threat of something similar may help ?

    Clean up the city, that's already it! But finding sustainable solutions to HOUSING THE HOMELESS is even better! When I read your comments, I say to myself that fortunately everything is going well for you! Because it is sometimes easier to get drogs to cope with all the inconveniences related to the street, than to find housing and a little compassion, to then hope to find a job that allows you to pay the rent and live decently. ! But that, the governors do not care royally, it is the case to say it! If I could take a look at you and see you one day in their place, it would be a real pleasure and you will think about it!

    This is really NOT a solution... if the City is NOT "pro-active" on a daily basis... (i.e.) Daily drive-by of streets to check and make sure NO encampments are erected... It HAS TO BE "daily"... NOT every couple of months or so... because in that time an ENTIRE city can be "erected"... again! 👀

    Don’t they just move somewhere else anyway? So it’s just moving them to another location. Still the same problems. Different area. It’s a never ending cycle.

      They still need to get off the sidewalks so people can use them. Blocking the walks only puts people in danger walking on the road. They need to go to a campground, not a public street.

No matter where these people go they are pushed off! Police officers bully them! Threaten them! Cops show no sympathy for the poor! Many of these people are Vets!
