Wow! I did not honestly think that John would fit in this genre at all, but WOW! He brings the soul and emotion as he does in his own songs! We love you John!
I like how much they were both lost in the music. They clearly enjoyed each other’s singing and playing. So enjoyable to watch. And John sang it with such taste. I can’t get the class, mood and sound of this song out of my head. Bravo my boy.
Listened to Frank's original version. To be honest, I kinda' like this version more. John really gives it that late-night - closing time - smokey bar feeling.
There are songs that teach you how to describe emotions, moods, feelings, not only party all the time. It's healthy and real if you're glad to be unhappy.
Would love to hear John do this, now that he has gotten so much vocal training. He's very good, but i think he sort of fall flat some times. I'm a huge Mayer fan, and i admire his will to explore different musical genres. Many dislike his folk-country flip, but even so, every musician evolves, and maybe he will try jazz some day in the future :)
How amazing is that? You go to a random concert and the lead performer gives you this gift! John C Mayer ! WHOA It's almost like going to Lettermann and have O'Brien to be interviewed =D
Hey! That's a jazz, man. You sing with the orchestra. It's my firstime seeing you sing without your strat/acoustic guitar.that's amazing!!!! Do more jazz.
[Verse 1] Look at yourself, if you had a sense of humor You would laugh to beat the band Look at yourself, do you still believe the rumor That romance is simply grand? Since you took it right on the chin You have lost that bright toothpaste grin My mental state is all a-jumble I sit around and sadly mumble [Verse 2] Fools rush in, so here I am Very glad to be unhappy I can't win, but here I am More than glad to be unhappy Unrequited love's a bore And I've got it pretty bad But for someone you adore It's a pleasure to be sad [Outro] Like a straying baby lamb With no mammy and no pappy I'm so unhappy But, oh, so glad!
chris awesome as always . but really sad, that People judge john because of his pop Stuff and because of this. because they dont even know about the trio or that he is doing Stuff like this. which means, they judge someone, without even Really being aware of what he is doing. and thats, a sad world to live in. but im glad to be unhappy :).
The Mamas and the Papas. La grabación más antigua es de 1939 con Bea Wain, con un ritmo y tono muy diferente, en todo caso esa sería la original.

It's wrong to be straight and feel strange things on my stomach when I see and hear Botti playing the trumpet?

That's true about not knowing him personally and the media tends to twist things. I don't think he's a white supremist but if that was what he said, it was pretty vulgar on its own. I was so shocked that I never listened to his voice in the same way from that point on.
You can tell JM totally gets the feel of this song. So beautifully sung. He should do more jazz.
Like American says.... Absolutely
Right sir
Wow! I did not honestly think that John would fit in this genre at all, but WOW! He brings the soul and emotion as he does in his own songs! We love you John!
Sinatra is smiling somewhere....beautifully done.
The sound of Chris' trumpet is smooth and sweet,so is John Mayer's magnificent voice!
Because being a guitar god isn't already enough

Jazzy Mayer is just amazing!! Even without his guitar!

It's not on youtube, but Streisand sings this unbelieavbly beautifully.

Guitar-less & Fabulous! =)
Dos de mis artistas favoritos, juntos. Excepcionales. ¿La canción? Mil veces mejor que la original
¿por qué algo tiene que ser mejor que lo original? la música no se trata de eso.

Guys I think this ain’t john, I mean where is the guitar, that would be impossible😆
John mayer is god
Pff
Not even close to the sinatra version. Still quite nice none the less.
But really ...can I get pregnant from this?
Every Note he sang was either out of tune or nasally. Terrible performance.
Let's face it. You were searching "John Mayer" and "Jazz", right?
I searched for John Mayer flamenco sketches haha!
Actually Ive noticed he doesnt have many collabs so I searched for some of those
Demais beautiful song wonderful Voice i love

Siempre creí que John Mayer brilla más como guitarrista que como cantante pero esto me deja qué pensar....
JM is great but y’all smoking some strong stuff if you think it’s better than Frank’s. Someone said this version sounds more smokey jazz
Wow..amazing...but did anyone notice the screen at 3:50? He must have really good eyesight to read the lyrics (if he followed a bit) from that far
I love you John! sing everything, it's match my ears everytime.
