    Well! I made this sauce today, its absolutely lovely, so much better than any shop bought one's.. and I've tried so many. The whole family loved it. Ill always have a jar in my fridge from now on. Great recipe thank you x

    OK... i've got this sauce bubbling away on my stove too right as I write this... that is... as good as I can.. I have difficulties with your 'cup' measures and i had to guesstimate the amounts. I'm optimistic though... it smells great and I looked up to heaven when I licked the spoon, so... :-) Thanks once again Chris for sharing this.

    Hi Chris, we in the Caribbean also use rum/beers, along with bay leaves,cloves and shadow beni to give it an extra kick

      Yes we do. Maybe a Guinness or stout in place of the beer!

    I use the same ingredients except the malasis an mustard an I blend my vegetables an it simmer it's great

    That looks delicious. If I could just find those scotch bonnet peppers in my area, I'd definitely try it out.. I think I remember you saying nothing really takes the place of a caribbean sunshine, so I gotta find it :)

      Buy the powder. Scotch bonnet is hard to find in the states.

    I have been looking for a sweet and spicy sauce for oven baked chicken. About to try this. What brand of pot are you using here? I need a good cast iron type pot.

    allspice is known as pimento? i thought pimento was red bell pepper? i'm confused!! Thanks for sharing! I plan to visit a local Caribbean market to find some of your ingredients, and my favorite pepper, the sunshine!!
