Military Coalition Leads Advocacy Drive to Support Combat-Injured Veterans

MOAA and other member organizations from the Military Coalition advocated on Capitol Hill for the Maj. Richard Star Act to be included in the FY25 NDAA. The Star Act allows combat-wounded, medically-retired servicemembers to receive both the VA payments for their injuries and DoD retirement pay for their time in service. Currently the retirement pay is offset dollar-for-dollar by the VA payment.
