I had 16 years active (6 E, 10 O) and had a combat injury and was medically retired. I would for sure benefit getting my retired pay.

This is an unfairness that must be resolved. We owe our wounded vets for what they left on the battleground in our service. Write or call your elected representatives in both houses to push this forward. It is not red or blue; it is red, white, and blue!

5 year phase in? Seriously? This should have been corrected 15 years ago!

The US has annihilated Russias military and the US hasn't had to fire a single round. That money goes to US companies to build weapons The ROI for that war is high especially if it prevents WWIII. I was E for 7 years and O for 13 with 2 deployments (OIF/OIR) and retired last year. Is the US perfect? Nope. But by far the US provides more for veterans than any country on earth and is working to improve it even more. I knew an Australian soldier who rented at same rank as me and his comp isn't even half what I get.

Congress doesn't have time for combat -related veterans, there are so many illegal immigrants they need to take care of.
