Whether you're an impostor, crewmate, or crewstor (if that exists) - these are dumb ways to try and avoid. Among Us is a game all about strategy, so today we're going over 29 of the worst moments where that doesn't work out. I always get voted off for no reason when I get impostor. One time I got impostor, the game started, and someone called a meeting 1 second after and told everyone to vote me out because I was sus. I was voted out. WE WERE LITERALLY 1 SECOND INTO THE GAME
True story that literally happened to me: (I’m brown)

I find this to be more of a deflection. It is a slightly random accusation, but the main defence is when you have to vote someone and no one is sus. So you call someone out, and they deflect by saying "how?" then you realise you have no evidence. Sometimes people can be cleared through this though. I dunno.
But honestly I did do that once, and I realised that there was no evidence when they "deflected". I kinda fell back and said that they weren't sus, so it wouldn't get them voted out.
But yeah, people can trust too easily. Oddly enough, I find the things that don't make sense are trusted, and solid evidence is not trusted.

I actually prefer playing as crewmate. Most of the time when I get impostor, I vent in front of people and when they call a meeting I say that I was cleaning the vent. It has actually worked a couple of times.

mine was when their was 6 players and everyone knew it was me, Their was a 15 sec cooldown and I kept calling lights, then closing spamming the electrical, then waiting and getting storage and lower engine than upper and cafeteria, then calling lights again and getting a kill, somehow one the game.
there was one time were i had been hiding in a vent for 20 sec after i killed and then the person said i was near the body when i was on the other side of the map so i thing they were cheting

I did that once cause I was screwed so I said yellow was the imposter (I lied it was orange) and the smartest one in the game just honed in on yellow saying if not him vote me next, it was the perfect scenario for him
Then my imposter team mate kills yellow and gets voted out straight away

I did this to the actual other imposter when he straight up accused me after seeing me kill (I got voted off). He then went on to win the game because he vehemently denied my accusation and the crewmates thought I was lying to screw them over.

I never kill anyone in among us as impostor, but once I decided to be brave especially since the other imp left the game and I was all alone. We were playing miraHQ, my favourite map. Whenever I'm crew, I stay away from the stacks of people in decontamination. However, as impostor, I had the perfect opportunity to get a stack kill. The first stack kill I've ever done. There we were, casually waiting to get outta there, when I jumped right into action and killed orange. It was so obvious but, because crewmates aren't very smart, they blamed it all on black. I won that round!
True Story:
So I Like to Play with Task Bar Updates At Meetings. Here's what happed.
I did a task with another crewmate watching. Soon After he called a meeting, and said that I was the imposter because the task bar didn't move.
I got ejected. Then they ejected the crewmate. The Imposter Just got one kill and won the game.
Moral Of The Story: Look at the setting, ALWAYS.
So basically you're telling us that we're going to die no matter what we do.

So I follow and they were not killing anyone at all
Something like that once happened to me, we were locked in elec with two crewmates and went for a double kill. I somehow accidentally killed my teammate in front of a very confused cyan. Long story short, he vote was tied between me and cyan, and afterwards I did a solo double kill somehow and won.

My favorite lobbies have been the ones who ignored the people in discord calls, pretending we couldn't read what color they were stating and either skipping or voting off them/a random color, and we'd continue the game like normal much to the annoyance of the discord friends.

So once in one single game, the first round I wasn't saying enough and the second round I was saying too much >:T
Well, I had a completely different story. Here's the story: it was just a normal impostor round in a public lobby in polus, it was going on fine. I sabotaged lights and I killed a crewmate in labs. Then I made a rotation through medbay, specimen, admin, and back to the entrance of labs. A crewmate was walking in, about to see the body. Just before he could report the body, I snapped his neck off clean. After that round, the two crewmates I killed introduced themselves. Apparently, they were in a Discord call. I killed one of them in labs and he told his friend to report his body in labs. The kill cool down was 15 seconds for that round. He said that I killed him 1 second before he reported the body. after that, I was like a luck charm, being impostor and pulling of clutch moments. Even when I'm crewmate, I caught impostors like I'm Sherlock Holmes. It was the best day of among us in my life. And that's the story. Thanks for listening if you did.

In a lot of my games on polus, some ppl troll and do keys even if we dont have it. I try to get them voted off and the others say, "yeah they do that."
Same happened to me. My partner told everyone: "It's definitely red, I saw it." I really don't like selling people out, but this time I was really mad and I said: "Well, the other one is purple" before I got voted out. The rest of the game purple told me that my mom's a hoe.

YES. I was once voted off the ship as an impostor for "following".
1) I wasn't following them, I was leaving medbay with them.
2) I was actually the impostor, so they all started saying "Lol following is sus because you were an impostor"
It was rectified when I became host and was able to ban all of them.
Pro tip: When someone kills someone else, the imposter teleports to the corpse. That means in a stack kill, whoever's color that is in front of everyone else's when someone dies in a stack, they are the imposter. The same thing happens to the person who was in front of everyone else in a stack, they get killed.

One time, I was playing a round of Among Us on a public lobby, and I had medbay scan. So, almost everyone came to watch me and clear me. A few minutes go by, and we're down to four people. We all agreed to stick together, and then we all went to communications to watch Yellow do a task. Then Lime killed Yellow in front of Pink and me (blue). But then PINK AND LIME STARTED ACCUSING ME EVEN THOUGH I WAS CLEARED THE FIRST ROUND!!!! Then I remembered that Lime had a pretty bad round as the imposter the last round, so I voted myself so then they would win, and I wasn't even mad :).

i've been voted out before in my first few games of among us for having the same task as another player (it's especially dumb when the task in question is a common task such as card swipe)
One game, I had a lot of suspicion on me, and I had already finished my tasks. To prove I wasn’t the killer, I told the other players in a meeting that I would stay in the cafe. Two players stayed with me to watch me.
However, the impostor called a reactor sabotage, and neither of the crew-mates left to fix it!! In the last few seconds, I finally started going over myself, but it was too late by that point, and impostor won. Afterward, it turned out that one of the two crew members standing with me WAS the impostor, so at least that ended up making sense. 🤣

One time, I was imposter with someone else. I went into reactor with them and one other person. I killed the other guy and vented out, then my teammate, who was meant to be on my side, reported the body and told everyone that I killed infront of him.

Snitches are jerks. One of my favorite experiences in a public server was when I was snitched on and when the round ended everyone said "sorry I guess he did snitch" and then they banned the snitch. It's a very heartwarming story

I shall tell you a tale of frustration and fear.
I was playing a round of Among Us, and I thought Pink was the Impostor. But then, doors closed, and Cyan vented in. He chased me, but I escaped. I seeked a way to tell my fellow Crewmates that it was Cyan without looking too suspicious. Then, the opportunity arose. I told them the Impostor was Cyan. There reaction?

I was playing with my brother and sister in Among Us some few weeks ago, and we lived by the code of don’t say if we died or who killed us. There was one round where I was the imposter and deflected the suspicion to some poor innocent. My brother voted them off the ship, and as it became final three, I looked at him with an evil grin and sabotaged the oxygen , knowing that there was nothing that he could do to stop me. That day was really fun as while it was a public server, there were like 6-7 of us that consistently stayed in the lobby. It was really fun when some new guy blamed one of our senior residents of the lobby and called them sus, snd we destroyed them because by now we trusted each other (well, enough to not trust stupid accusations made against our group. Another round was most of us finished our tasks, so all living people went into security and chilled. All except for my brother and sister. Never happened on cams, but then my sister reported my brother’s body. I had to look her dead in the face and reminded her that everyone was in security. Finally, there was a hacker who was unfairly revealing who the imposter was. Of course we had to restart the game, but we had to ban him (and this happened twice in a row so it wasn’t just coincidence, and they couldn’t provide evidence other than “pink is the imposter”).
And one more from that same day, someone had a medbay scan and asked for us to watch during a meeting, so four of us followed them into medbay and watched. Practically immediately after that, a body was reported, but we all knew that we were innocent. One was kicked from the game due to error, and it came down to an oxygen sabotage where all of us were in admin, and imposter tried to stack kill. They knocked another one of our numbers and then blamed orange, the one who scanned XD
I always go alone in among us even if I'm a crewmate. I run away from everything. This way, no one can be with me, including the imposter

I agree with the color stereotype thing. One of my last games I was imposter, and didn't kill, didn't vent, I just ran around the ship. A meeting was called, and someone just said "Green" and nothing else. I mean, they were right, but they literally had no evidence. The guy was probably White "The guy everyone believes for no reason." It was the first round of the game too.

There's one thing you forgot to mention...
When you can't vouch for your teammate so you are forced to rat them out in order to stay in, only for them to rat you out just cuz they're mad they got caught.
This is ESPECIALLY infuriating when you were about to win and had this whole mastermind scheme to win.
Trust me, It's happened to me an uncountable number of times.
I can say this does work,
Not because I have done it, is a such rude thing to do
But because when I am imp and I get voted off I will say that someone who isn’t imp is to give my partner a head start

Hey stt you know that when you group up you are pretty much killing the fun in the game than being alone, the game is designed to have everyone go solo rather than in a group for the suspense but if you are in a group there is no fun for the impo and suspense for you

One time I was imposter, a crewmate saw me vent .he ran for the emergency button and I was following him. My cooldown ran out but i couldn't kill him because there was an emergency meeting...or so I thought when I entered the meeting I saw that beside that crewmate was a report symbol but it was dim and then I understood what happened I killed him on the exact frame he called the meeting I prayed the others won't notice and luckily they didn't and I went on to win the game🤣🤣🤣

I one time won as the impostor. But it was funny when I did because I was not only playing as red the most sus color in the game. But I was using the name Starscream after a character who's known for being a backstabber. 😂 XD

I got voted out because “you talked” they no joke said “your sus yellow cuz you talked” and I was voted out

10:41 the SAME THING happened to me somebody said "who" and they all voted me (im called who in among us)
so THAT'S who I was playing with the other day...
I had a scan and asked someone to follow me to watch and they got stuck in the cafe without me and voted me out even though I had a scan. This is the worst death
The worst kill is when they kill you, but someone witnesses it and gives you hope, only for them to be impostors.
