yeah, especially something like proximity chat. itd make it chaotic and people might not want to talk, especially not in pubs
They literally made millions in a few months yet they won't hire more people. Updates are so slow that people are getting bored of the game and that hurts their sales in the long run.
Fun fact: I believe Innersloth said that they wanted to expand lobby size, and that’s why The Airship is going to be so big. Another thing is that the devs said in an interview on Twitch that they wanted to make something like a “Guardian Angel.”

I think they should show your impostor chance when your a crewmate, the more games you play it visually increases. If you leave as a crewmate it goes down.

At around the 5 minute mark when he showed us the "awful" settings, they weren't even that bad, I've been in lobbies where crewmate vision is 5...and impostor vision is 0.5, and where emergency cooldown is 50 seconds and kill cooldown is 10 seconds, etc. Like public lobby settings can get wayyyyy worse than what he showed us. The emergency cooldown has been at 0s before ooooooooooooooooooooof.

One time I joined a game where the kill cooldown was 6666 and I didn't realize until I was the imposter, and killed in front of my sister....

Edit: OK my notifs are blowing up woth ppl telling me that it's coming out in December or January or smthn. I know it isn't coming out in November, because November already passed and we don't have accounts. They never officially announced it to be coming out in early November, but Aemu (one of the Innersloth devs) said in the discord chat that they plan on having it out in November. That was in September. Obviously, something happened, so it is now coming out at a later time. No information on exactly when has been released, but I'm sure they are trying to get accounts done as fast as possible while also having to deal with the new map and the switch leaks and everything else going on right now.

wow watching this in 2023 and seeing that a lot of the ideas are in the game now, is really relieving
4:02 they already have that, when you join about 3 games and in those games you leave right as you get a role, it doesn’t let you join a lobby for a temporary amount of time.
about the points you made about customisation: they have to manually draw every frame for every kill animation, so adding more hats and body cosmetics would mean drawing those cosmetics on every colour on every animation, with all the combinations - the main reason why there arent more body cosmetics, colours and kill animations
They would not have to draw a different one for each color, unless they are doing traditional art, (Art on paper) and that is highly unlikely.

No, I'm pretty sure they do something like terraria does with armor, they draw each frame for each piece (hat, pet, skin) individually then layer them

Honestly, the detective would ruin the game, the crew mates work as the detectives already so I don’t see a need for a detective or any other role
@Caleb McCarty No, because then it would literally impossible to find a lobby with the new roles disabled. And if you made one everyone would instantly disconnect when they realized the only roles were only crewmate and impostor (like they should be)

I think the ability to kick as a ghost should be implemented as well or an inactive count down start up to avoid stalled games. I played a round where three people purposely stalled the game from finishing and the person in charge of the room couldn’t kick them as a ghost, so we ended up waiting them out, but the fact we had to wait was ridiculous.

If you get that annoying time out thing where you cant join another lobby, i know how to make time shorter.
So join a practice round and play for atleast 3 seconds, then leave, and you can join lobbies with no timer

The problem about changing the amount of imps and map in game doesn’t really work out. Let’s say you wanna play polus with 2 imposters. You join the lobby just imagine the owner changing the map and amount imposters. This isn’t a big problem but it will be annoying and also their could be lots of people using it for there own good and trolling people.

Oh. It's at the Valiant Hero path. After you get launched onto the ship, the trash will disassemble, making little trash parts float into orbit. And there you can find a brown/tan crewmate. Click on it and you'll be able to see that it appears on the bottom middle then a Stickmin hand will appear and punch it away.

1. when ghosts finish their tasks, they should be able to teleport to people and spectate.
2. another ghost one, there should be minigames to play when your tasks are done
the spectate one is a good option
another one, ghosts shouldnt have to be in meetings they can check in on them but still be able to do tasks

I would also wanted to have a random select map in among us. Just right beside the polus map , there's "Random" So every round, The maps changed so it doesn't get that boring. And they could choose between small maps and large maps so they can choose how many impostors there would be.

@Jonathan tan 7s Well, yes but no. Usually when I play hide and seek, the impostors will vent in cafeteria so we know who they are. And they have low vision. So they can just directly vent so we know who the seeker is.
looking back at this in 2022, i can't believe how far among us has come.
They're working on A LOT OF THIS, and they want to take suggestions from the public buuuuuuut it takes a lot of time for a team of 4 people.

I feel like a lot of the updates you suggested are just nitpicks: manueling choosing imposters, changing the map in the settings, etc.
A large sum of players prefer playing imposters over crewmate, if players manually chose there would be a situation where people started making lobbies setting themselves as the imposter but nobody would want to join, as they wouldve also have wanted to be an imposter.
Changing the map in the lobby is unfair towards guest players. A host could theoretically have 10 players join the lobby and change the map right before the match starts which would cause a lot of frustration as it was not the game that the guests were originally promised when they joined.
At the end of the day, Among Us is run by a small team so a lot of these suggestions would not be practical additions.

I have idea. A mode called "Horror Mode"
- The light are ALWAYS off. The light are flickering inside rooms and lights CAN'T be fixed.
- Random door will be closed every 30 seconds.
- In rooms will be hidden flashlights which will raise your vision. [1 per player]
- Impostors can sabotage emergency meeting [The emergency button won't work] and Flashlights [Flashlight benefit will be disabled for some time]
- New time limited benefits. For example "Fix light for room" which will fix light but only for one room for example 30 seconds. Another example. "Door holder" Which will disable door closing inside one area.
- Players are emitting light so they can be seen in dark.
- Impostors CAN'T sabotage o2 and reactor.
- Impostors can kill with 20s+ cooldown only
- In Reactor you will have a Noise detector. It will detect noise in every room and will inform if there are loud noises [Medbay scan, Trash, Killing etc.] It won't work if comms are sabotaged.
- There will be lockers. Crewmates and Impostors can hide in there. You will have lowered vision but you will hear a little better. Impostors can kick crewmates out of locker and kill them.

i already have a fifth map idea that is like the airship but the opposite: submarine(other name: topmarine)
original tasks: feed fish(and plants), scan fosiles(of an imposter alien), shred files(secret files of weapons or Gary hatterman), make your bed(if you have mini crewmate then thug him in), and some other submarine tasks
also new features: vent sensors(like the security cams but sensing life forms inside vents), closing doors as crewmate(press a button in security and the door will close for 10 secs(cooldown also 10 secs), hiding in lockers(just open, enter and close the locker to hide), and some more unique things
yes, imposters can use the security doors and vent sensors just like they can use security and admin

The issue with the people leaving when not imposter is that many solutions have counters. For example, on the minecraft server, Cubecraft, they have among slimes. If you leave early, your imposter chance is decreased.
But, if you die and then leave, nothing happens. So what often happens is people call meetings immediately and then ask to be voted.
People have only just caught on to this, and now leavers often do something like immediately accuse someone of venting, get them voted, and then get voted themselves because they were wrong. It’s an endless battle, and it really shows that no solution is perfect

Yeah especially when the people can't seem to speak more then 3 sentences and vote you out because you play the game how you are supposed to or cause you take too long to explain Yourself
Someone can call a meeting the first 10 seconds and say "red" and they immediately get them voted out
For #4, innersloth has there own channel where they uploaded a video called "our roadmap for among us(things we are working on)" and sure enough they are working on adding detective and hide and seek into the basic game
They already announced a ton of these were gonna come out like accounts and reporting and friends and stuff like this so that’s good!!
Along with the friends list, I think it would be awesome if they added a list of players in the past rooms that you've played in. In case you didn't get the chance to friend someone that you really liked.

I feel like the "choose imposter" setting should have some sort of a voting system, like if you wanted to do hide n seek and you had a specific person to be seeker, everyone should get a popup for the owner of the game to choose the imposter, or everyone says yes to specific person to be the imposter.

What I really want to be added among us is that in meetings, ghosts don’t need to join the meetings/ body reports. They can continue roaming the map/doing tasks and if they want to see the chat they can have the chat bubble on the side of the screen. (Basically being a ghost when there is no meeting) As there are no reason for ghosts to be there. It also can get extremely boring in meetings, never getting to talk or vote. Anyways this is my opinion, think it might be cool.

The leaving thing was solved because if you leave when you get crewmate a couple times it doesn’t let you play for 5 or 10 minutes.
I think it would be cool if you could make your own maps and tasks with custom graphics for use in a personal lobby, with a possible option to get it approved for use in public lobbies. Also, The Thing cross over. When someone gets voted off, they are burned with a flamethrower, and if kill confirms are on, imposters would wack out when burned. The button and such would be in the living quarters where they test their blood, a potential husky pet, etc. I think it would be cool.

You know what they say? You learn something new everyday.
I have an idea: Creative Mode. You can make normal lobbies as usual, but hosts can choose whether they wanna be the impostor or a crewmate (or detective). Then, in the main game, there would be a creative button and creative lobby list (like in online public) but there is a setting/filter on top: available role [Impostor/Crewmate (/Detective)]. When players click on creative and select a role, a list of public lobbies with that role still available appears. If they do not select a role, a list of normal public lobbies appears.
I think the organization of the matchmaking needs a tweak. You get recommended all the lobbies that filled the second you opened, get kicked out to the menu when it happens. Rinse and repeat until you get a lobby with less than 10, the host starts the match because some people fuss about waiting, and then you get stuck in a match that ends immediately because a game with 4-5 people doesn't provide enough time for someone to report someone dead or give time for you to sus someone.
Seems like the only time I find a full lobby of 10 people, however, and they have the player speed firewalled and the game becomes unplayable

For the leaving one what if there are a bunch of toxic players in your loby. You join the wrong lobby when your trying to play with just 1 friend. Or you leave as a ghost. These are the main reasons among us will kick me out of public lobys

i think they should make a mapeditor instead of creator, like you can position a table in a grid pattern. so you can make a map without all the hard work
I want a mechanic that helps people that are never the imposter. Basically, every time you aren’t imposter, your chance of being imposter next round goes up.
That would kind of ruin the mystery part of the game. "Oh blue hasn't gotten impostor in a while let's vote them because they're probably impostor now."
Another comment said this and the replies bombarded him. quick, do something before they bombard you
The chance increasing is basically Roblox’s Murder Mystery 2.

Once, I got finally imposter after a bunch of rounds (I wasn’t quitting, I was just playing in a single lobby)
Anyways, the round started, and I was imp.
And then it ended.
EVERYONE LEFT
I HAD BEEN IN THAT LOBBY FOR A WHILE, AND EVERYONE LEFT IMMEDIATELY.
Also, I once got imposter (again) after a bunch of rounds.
And my imposter mate killed someone.
This one guy was like “It’s not red (I forgot what color they were), they told me over discord.”
This ticked me off.
So, hoping my imp mate would kill the guy they said wasn’t it, I stalked the guy who said their friend was safe, and killed them.
My imp mate didn’t realize what I was doing, and didn’t get the other guy.
They said it was me, and the other people in the lobby asked them to leave at the end of the round.
They agreed.

it would be really cool if you can name lobbies instead of having the name for your lobbies I mean by default the lobby could have your name but we can change the lobby name.
One thing i would like to see added in is a new role:gurdian demon. You aready know about the guadian angal that protects creqmates from imposters now we have a guardian demon witch is the first imposter to be voted out. The guardian demons role is to help the other imposter by doing things like:aplying slow player speed, worse lighting time takes to do a task, those things as well as sometimes being able to damage something like securaty cams or admin map making them unuseable until the crewmates fix it and this really gives more for the imposter to do since currently once a imposter gets voted out they can only sabatage. Nothing else

Yes, all of these ideas are good, but just remember there are only 3 developers, and only 1 is a programmer, they would have to program this all, wouldn’t that be hard?

Detective: Find the impostor 5 times in a row
Trapped: Trap 10 players as the impostor
Crazy!: Kill 1,000 crewmates
Funeral: get killed with a mini crewmate 15 times
Wanted: Don’t get caught as the Impostor 5 times
Secret Impostor: Get impostor 50 times.
