Great video. Very clear. I have an apricot that is too tall- despite following guidelines to create a small tree. I’m going to go ahead and take some height off. I want to be able to cover the tree with netting to protect fruit. I live in a large city but still have lots of squirrels , possums and raccoons , not to mention fruit beetles.
Thanks but an explanation on why we prune in winter vs summer would be helpful for your video. My understanding is that summer pruning is advised is because of sap flow. When a summer cut is made the tree does not "suck" in infections. Rather, the excess sap flo "expells" any infections present on the cut. Makes sense I suppose. Then again one could just use pruning paste in the winter time. Thanks again for a good video.

I was thinking about a similar question: how do you decide which pruning to do in summer and which in winter?
What lopper do you recommend for the home gardener?
We like a 24” Felco or Corona lopper
3 or 4 scaffolds and nothing to the middle
