Thank you! Really useful info and will help me clean up my 8 year old apricot tree. It WAS getting too tall for me.
Thank you!
Great video.Glad to hear kids are learning to like the outdoor trees.i have a dwarf tree that;s gotten to high to easily harvest fruit.Last year i thinned 4500 apricots and left 1500 to mature. It worked really well as they were all much bigger in size. But i decided to only leave about 750 this year as 1 five gallon buckets worth still went to waste.I think maybe 750 will be 2 five gallon buckets worth which is about 20-30 pints of jam. After seeing your video I'm only taking 2-3 feet of the top.You made it look great with the shorter branches.
Great video , thanks for sharing
Great video, I have two Abricots Puget Sound that I planted two years ago. Should I wait for September to prune them. I live in Quebec. Thanks and keep up your excellent work.
Thankyou for the information.
How about adding why you are making some of the cuts. You say, "I have to remove one of these two branches and I like this one." WHY?
He said the two branches were crossing so he had to decide which one to leave and which one to cut out.
It’s July 23 rd here in Az and it’s pretty hot here and mine is about 12 feet tall and has leaves on it still . Is it ok to cut off branches now or when ?
Ya. I'd like to know that answer as well. My desert delight is green still it fruited first time thus year. Planted last march
Thanks
