That may be a very nice guitar, but in those hands it's a truly remarkable instrument. What a pleasure it is to hear such amazing talent from such an unassuming and pleasant character.
Thanks David great stuff!
The one note in The Munsters is a D# in the change
Thanks David. That's why I play my own rhythm as I play the tune. The 'gaps' sound to lonely & far apart. I appreciate what you said, & did!
I’m betting his fingertips show a touch of… history
He got more of the alien DNA than most of us.
Angeline at 6:18 - nice
Great Video. Grew up with it and -Love that Munsters Tune👍. That Angelina song is a sweet tune. Gotta mess with that a spell. I’m not much of Blue grass picker,-tinker with it a bit-but I like to bounce between Jazz,Blues, folk and whatever to mix it up. By the way-I picked up a original 1890’s Hat like that few years back! Came off the -Nez Perce’ reservation in Idaho years Back.
Isn't he on my Monopoly game box?
Love all these tips and tricks.
Glad you like them! Thank you.
“That’ll be 50 bucks” now THATS funny. Those are great ideas. What did one leper say to another leper? Thanks for the tip!
He ain’t right!!! Lol One of the best acoustic guitar players on this planet!!
thanks
I'm having trouble finding a good "Entry Level Dreadnaught" with a 1 3/4" Nut. How 'bout a line of "David Grier Signature Guitars" with a Norman Blake Model, a Tony Rice Model & a David Grier Model"? Right now I'm looking at a used Eastman for under $400. I don't need anything much more than a Solid Cedar Top! I don't think plywood back and sides would hurt my sound at this point. I also wish you'd do a lesson on how You and Clarence use your ring finger to pick two notes at the same time. You and He and Tony do this quite a bit but it's a Hidden technique, like Invisible to the Naked Eye. Thanks for sharing this info. It makes me want to play like I haven't for about 20 years.
That's my problem! I need a top hat....and I can play like David Grier! ....and then I woke up. 😞
Hey, it's worth a try! ; )
I sent the 50 bucks but I didn't know your address so I just wrote David Grier, Bug Tussle TN on the envelope.
Granny Clampett came from Bug Tussle. 😏
