I love how you explain things to us. There are tons of options out there, so describing what to look for in a brush and what it's for is a huge help! Thank you!
Never, never stop making videos. You explain things so perfectly and love your beautiful accent as well as looking at your beautiful face!!! Thank you parents every single day for blessing you with those genes!
As soon as your spoke about the Real Techniques Setting Brush, I bought it. I've been using the 402 blush brush to do my bronzing and I love the effect. Thank you for teaching us to use different brushes for not just the purpose it's supposed to be used for.
I got the Zoreya brush set great set! I have A lot of makeup brush ! I never used brushes I just got into them now and what a difference they make! Thank you so much!
I really like the IT cosmetics brushes. They are a bit pricey, but I grab them when Ulta is having a sale. Also got some good deals with the online clearance.
Love their brushes! I have acquired a collection on QVC. When you buy their products they always have a brush included with their foundations, powder, bronzer & blush. I love their YSBB foundation and their powders are amazing because they don't include talc. One of the best brands imo.
So being an artist I get what functions that brushes can do in makeup. I do have two questions: How often do you clean brushes or sponge applicators? Honestly I clean mine one a month, lol, is that bad? Also, I store my brushes upright, so how do you store a dual ended brush? I feel it would have to lay flat. Do you do seasonal beauty techniques? Example, beach looks, etc.
I wash my brushes every week - I think it all depends on how much you use them and how much makeup you're using on them. I sometimes wash mine twice a week as I'm filming all the time for you guys :) I also store them upright in a glass jar but my dual ended brushes I lay flat - hope this helps and thanks for watching!
I bought higher end brushes. My frustration was in the cute fancy names given to them but not providing the basic information of how brushes best used for. So irritating as not everyone is a beauty guru.
I use the real tech setting brush for everything, i have multiple , one for highlight blending, for my contour powder, my blush blending, and for setting and face powder.
Thanks Nina. What are your favourite powder brushes? I tend to just put a light dusting of powder all over. I think I need a new brush maybe. I have a RT one and they are very good quality for the price, but it is a really big fluffy brush that I think is too big for application. May be better for dusting off excess?? And I have another brush I bought in France years ago (Marionnaud), again nice quality, but it is (or has gone) a bit flat.
When I decided to wear and give makeup a real effort last year in the pandi lockdown, I just bought a cheap $15 brush set from Amazon. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to invest in expensive brushes if I wasn’t going to continue learning how to do my makeup. luckily, I found some really good pro MUAs (Nina and Robert) that I respect and trust their opinions. Also, they’re not trying to push brushes on me because of sponsorship deals. I love the Charlotte Tilbury dual sided, the eye shadow Fenty brushes, Zooeva and the real technique brushes that Nina uses. I also bought some IT, Sephora, and sigma brushes and I even have cheap faves like elf! when I started understanding what makeup I liked applying that’s when I replaced and invested in more expensive brushes. I don’t like fussing with intricate eye shadow looks, so I don’t unnecessarily buy eye shadow brushes. I like doing complexion so I get brushes for that. Awesome 👏🏽 content Nina!!❤️
Based on your recommendation, I have several Real Techniques makeup brushes. Nina, just like you said-they’re great brushes and available for reasonable prices. I even bought my sister a set of them. I especially like the large blush brush, because it is sooo soft. I would like to ask your opinion on Omnia makeup brushes. Have you heard of them or ever used them? Thanks Nina.
Wow this certainly was a very Excellent Educational Video !! I needed this Years ago. Nina you are truly a wealth of Knowledge. You are truly amazing !! 💕💕
20:20 Hello Nina, Q on the Mac 100 small stippler brush. Do you know if Mac 188 maybe replaced it? They look similar at least from what I can see online.
Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for everything you generously teach us. I need your help, because Nina Ubhi's Beauty Shop does not ship to Greece where i am and wherever I looked I could not find zoeva brushes, can you tell me which brush numbers to buy for eye shadows from Real Techniques brand?
I get my brushes, the ones that I have multiples of from home bargains, wilko and real techniques! I have some iconic brushes lol that I’m kind of afraid to use haha but my favourites or my home bargains, wilko and real techniques xx
I recently bought the Hourglass double sided brush, as well as the CT one. How do you recommend storing these brushes for everyday and travel so they don’t get ruined?
Oh my, how great is this video!! I was just considering what brushes to purchase and saw this video pop up. Magic 😃 it's very helpful and clear. I know what I need now. Thank you so much Nina 💕
Another great video. Nina, I have oily skin, I usually use my fingers to apply my foundation. Do you prefer applying foundation with a brush or a sponge?
I have found different foundations need different applications. I have one that will not go on with a brush without looking streaky. I have another that looks blotchy when I use a makeup sponge. I have been mixing them lately and using my fingers, and it works pretty well. You have to try them out with different applications to see what looks best. Always Wash your hands well before you use your hands for application.
I bought the Juvias Place 12 piece brush set for an amazing deal at Ulta during the holidays. I am also a little afraid to use them. I've heard they work well tho. We shall see 😊
I can't agree more how Zoeva has the best brushes for personal use. Except some do have that fall out and I find stary hairs in my face sometimes 😂 I might just get a stippling brush for blushers because those fluffy blushes make my cheeks look too flushed sometimes. Thanks for the tips Nina!
What about those little sponge brushes? I bought a set of brushes and there were some of those little...sponge on a stick "brushes" and I'm guessing they are mostly for eye makeup? Really helpful, informative vid. Thanks.
If you don't mind please linking those beautiful lashes on your eyes, I clicked the links in the description but it showed many styles and I wasn't sure if it was available for USA. Thank you sm I love you &your channel.
Hi Nina. I agree that Real Techniques setting blush is great setting the under eyes with powder. I was happy to learn I was doing that right. Lol. I also have the ELF brush you use for blush, which I also use. Thank you for explaining the concealer brush. I just have a question. Do you use a hair bristle brush or synthetic? I'm having problems applying my concealer that I put in a glass container. I'm just using an ELF pink and white concealer brush. These brushes are very cheap. I usually use applicator that the concealer comes with, but I dropped it; since I have a dog, I just threw it away . I love your 101 lessons so much. Thank you
I use a synthetic brush for concealer application as I feel the hairs stay in place - I honestly don't think you need an expensive brush for concealer. Glad you're liking the 101 series!
Unfortunately my lashes are not yet available in the US :( Hopefully with more demand we can find a distributor in the US! I really want you guys to have access to them as I know you're going to love them! In the meantime it would be great if you could DM Sephora and Ulta in the US so let them know you'd like to see my lashes there!
Were do u get the brushes from as I've bought some off amazon n super drug stores n bristles have fallen out or u can c lines on my face off the brushes xx
i'm still using makeup brushes from wet n wild and elf i used in middle school and im in college now... they still work but probably aren't the cleanest
Hi Nina, thank you so much for the videos and what you do. I just found you and subscribed. I love all your various education videos on makeup application. They truly are helpful and very informative. You truly are beautiful and have a talent. I wish I could do my makeup as beautiful as you do. I was watching this video and was wondering on the following if you could address. What brushes would you recommend for the following: 1) Do you have a 2nd recommendation for a foundation brush that you like other than the Rare Beauty? 2) What brush would you recommend to buff on and off your setting powder for your face? 3) What brush would you recommend for if you wear a mineral powder compact foundation, which is a power base only? 4) What brush would you recommend for filling in your eyebrows if you use a brow pomade to fill in your brows? I look forward to your reply and once again thank you for taking the time to teach and share these videos with us women. #subscriberforlife.
Thanks so much for subscribing and your support Keisha :) MUFE 109 brush is great for foundation. Real Techniques setting brush for powder. Any kind of Kabuki brush is great for mineral, Fenty do a good one and so does Shiseido. ABH angle brush is good for brow pomade.
Thank you Nina for the response. I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly. ABH is for Anastasia Beverly Hills Right? As for the Fenty and Shiseido do you have a recommendation for each of those brushes for a Kabuki I can look at?
I love how you explain things to us. There are tons of options out there, so describing what to look for in a brush and what it's for is a huge help! Thank you!

I’m ordering as I’m watching .. LOVE this series
Got the dual hourglass brush from your former videos and it is sooooooooo good
Its so good!
I bought higher end brushes. My frustration was in the cute fancy names given to them but not providing the basic information of how brushes best used for. So irritating as not everyone is a beauty guru.
I completely agree! Hopefully this video helped!
After a while you start ignoring the names and using the brushes for whatever you want😅, but i agree during that beginning phase, you want to know.
I use the real tech setting brush for everything, i have multiple , one for highlight blending, for my contour powder, my blush blending, and for setting and face powder.

Based on your recommendation, I have several Real Techniques makeup brushes. Nina, just like you said-they’re great brushes and available for reasonable prices. I even bought my sister a set of them. My favorite brushes are the BK beauty highly recommend them🤩🥳🙏
What do you think of Jessup? Seems like a good quality, mid priced product?
The OG that I had from years a go is The Expert from Real Technic. It went so well with foundation. Must have item
I am beginning ground level, I have been watching videos like crazy, it's amazing the art! 🩷
Thankyou again, feel im learning so much from your fabulous chanel.
Just wanted to ask, whats the best way to clean the brushes 😌

What lip products are you wearing?
I couldn't find the Mac 100 stippled blush brush, what is the dupe she mentions for it?

Best to keep them laying flat or in a brush holder that airs both sides

A good brand of brushes that I've found and used are spectrum brushes, they aren't super cheap but they aren't super expensive either.
Another great video. Nina, I have oily skin, I usually use my fingers to apply my foundation. Do you prefer applying foundation with a brush or a sponge?

Thanks Nina. Clearly I need to buy a couple of flat brushes 😊
I love makeup brushes, I have MAC, REAL TECHNIQUE and BOBBY BROWN brushes that are years old. The one from Hourglass catches my eye, maybe one day....

How do you store your duo brushes? Is it weird that I steer away from them because I have no idea where I would put it in my makeup area?
