      Agree, and where is the outlet to plug into, if not the property resident allowing to use said outlet. Once there were outlets to be used for general use. But then plates that cover up once useful outlets became the norm.
      Odd , it started to become more visible when phones started to be given out for anyone who was lacking the basic ability to contact or be contacted by maybe a employer looking for an employee. But don't change your phone here or there or well anywhere that now is stealing power ,while needless amounts of store front lights surge through out the day and night.

      I gonna say. Even if you used the highest tech EV batteries they are still too heavy to one job on a large property on a single charge. If you were judicious, each leaf blower should have two charged battery packs for each house.

  • @dubwiseselecta1
    @dubwiseselecta1 3 года назад +33

    The problem is that even if you can charge the electric leaf blowers while you're working during the day they still don't even hold a candle to a gas powered blower. A good quality backpack leaf blower is 20 times more powerful than an electric leaf blower. .. basically changing a job from 1 hour to 3 hours. For the homeowner the electric equipment is good choice but for a commercial guys it's worthless. A good backpack gas leaf blower is $500 to $600

    Gas powered professional blower 1000cfm of air at 225mph, best electric available blows maybe 400cfm at 150mph... Then you take into account charging.
    And Adam it's not 30% more efficient than raking. It's ten times faster. And Gina (BTW go south raiders) lawn vacuums (other than truck mounted debris loaders that 1. Require blowers to get the leaves to it and 2. Create massive dust clouds, far more the dust in the air issue than blowers) are slower than about any other method which why mostly old men who think they know what they are doing but don't are their primary users. Most landscapers use mowers or aforementioned debris loaders as "vacuums". To make the same money you are talking about charging at least 7 times as much as currently. And the best performing backpack blowers cost around $600 though you can get specialized walk behind blowers that are only useful in some situations that use 25hp engines. They blow absurd amounts of air but are very expensive but in the end you still need a backpack blower to get to places it can't, which are many.

      Funny you mention battery powered generators. Those are called Inverters and California is a large market for them. Let's say you have 4,000 watts of lighting that needs to be powered on in case of an emergency. You are looking at 16 batteries and a run time of about 90 minutes. You can have a longer run time but that means more money. It just all depends on what you need powered in the event the electrical grid gets shut down. These inverters are not cheap either. I am talking thousands and thousands of dollars. Obviously the larger power requirement the larger the price tag.

    Gas-powered leaf-blowers are being banned because of the noise. Nobody can sleep within 2-3 blocks of a gas-powered leaf-blower -- and in a big city, that is several hundred people who are affected. Not everybody is wide-awake at 9am, you know -- some people work different shifts.

    Battery powered cutting tools cost more, don't cut as well, and have to be replaced more often. Something like a chainsaw or weed whacker needs a new battery every few minutes. And good luck using a solar generator (also very expensive) when the power goes out at night. Funny how they just skip any attempts to lower emissions and just go straight to banning.

    If teachers teach boring lessons out of a planned packet and they can't relate the information to actual life they aren't gonna keep people's attention..... they barely keep the kids awake..... wtf do you think is gonna happen.
