2021 and I still can’t believe how underrated he is. This man makes ACTUAL MUSIC FROM SCRATCH AND KILLS EVERY TIME. Why is this not the standard??!? He’ll always be among the G.O.A.Ts in my book!!
Dope Creator. His drum tracks are usually fairly simple and not too complex. His synths and arrangements on the other sounds is what makes his tracks sound so big. True professional.
Yeah it’s like more or less the formula to most hip hop songs. I always use to listen and try to figure out what elements I would need to make a beat sound complete. It always ends up the same for the most part. A simple drum pattern just some kicks snares and hi hats. Simple bass line. Strings such as piano guitar organ or violin. Often there’s a sample that’s altered to provide some backup to the Melodies of the string instruments, or just an instrument that’s been out through some filters to alter the sound and make it less identifiable. Now if you want some extra razzle dazzle do an alternate pattern similar to your first pattern just in a different key or same note pattern but diff instrument. Then you can also do a break down as well although it isn’t neccessary. Artists often appreciate it because they can approach that part of the song differently and it’s refreshing to the listener.
Ill never forget when this came out. Its like yesterday and still til this day, it amazes me how talented and underrated he was. Still one of my favorite artists of all time
Ryan i can see the big difference in ur hardware collection compared with what you have today. you have a great talent and u truly deserve all the moola. You r a Legend bruv... My role model!!! thumbs up!!!
I like it when people get creative with alot of instruments and make a whole by them selves. Very talented guy. I never knew this guy, just came across this video, but I'm glad I stopped by.
R-Les is SICK!!! There is no way that you can watch this video and NOT be inspired. It's cats like him that make me LOVE making music. Keep doin' it Ryan!!!!!!!!
Man that production. All these years later and it still sounds fucking incredible. All them melodies in this one beat. Something always draws me back to these videos
Shoot I don't care what anybody says, I love watching this guy produce, that's real talent, real instruments right there. No sampled rubbish. I have always said once you learn how to play instruments your creativity will keep flowing. Ryan is the living proof of it. I get bored of producers who are musically inarticulate! Lol
Still one of the greatest videos online. Demonstrating a pleather of ideas that can be captured sonically. Live instrumentations and the fruits and flavors of the sounds.
I like when i get to see bests made and songs recorded...shows all the little things we aint notice or realize just by listening to a finished product...
R. Les crazy talented. There are few people in the music industry doing what this man is. Listen to his new track "Glory" You have to stupid not to like it. He even has a line for you haters in there too... "It's in your heart to hate, it's in my heart to win!" R. Les is an underrated musical genius

This man is right here is NOTHING but the truth...What an inspirational being. If only he read this so I could tell him how watching him makes me feel!
Actually if you guys pay close enough attention... he faked getting the trumpet delivered. He called sam ash and it cuts over to him talking about paying extra, but hes not actually on the phone with anyone anymore. That's why one of his guys knocked on the door and gave him the trumpet...
He had a brief success in the early 2010s when he was making more R&B oriented records/ singing on the records. Then he decided to change his style and tried to gain a reputation as a rapper, and I feel his career never quite got the traction that it used to. He's still around, but not really in the mainstream.
My partner showed me this vid like 4 or 5 years ago and it's still as dope now as it was then. Luh this ninja Ryan. He's a freaking genius...and his new stuff has only gotten better
Very talented man doing his own thing Like see talented people in action Having great ability to give many satisfaction Without hesitation providing musical inspiration In a continaution nicing up the nation Providing a big celebration I love creativity it's big part of me As wordsmith my words oozes frequently So pleasure to comment people daily, naturally God bless Ryan Leslie always, in all his future endeavours God bless him always, with long life good health and prosperity
