Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger share their wisdom on how to invest in stocks each year on the annual shareholder meeting of Berkshire Hathaway. Their investing strategies have made Berkshire the 6th most valuable company in the world. Can we learn something from these gurus? Of course we can, and through this summary of the book “The University of Berkshire Hathaway”, written by Daniel Pecaut and Corey Wrenn, we shall.

Top 5 takeaways:
0:00 Intro
01:33 1. How to invest during times of inflation
05:42 2. What is investment risk?
07:36 3. Invest using filters
09:59 4. The share of mind principle
11:41 5. Invest in yourself
TL;DW:
- Businesses that require little capital to grow and that possess pricing flexibility are the investor’s greatest defence against inflation
- The risk associated with an investment is not dependent on the price fluctuations of its stock, but by the underlying characteristics of the business
- Use filters to avoid wasting time on unproductive investment ideas
- A great branded product is often a good investment - if share of mind exists, the market will follow
- Invest in yourself - use compounding not only for your bank account, but also for your mind
My goal with this channel is to help you make more money and improve your personal finances. How to become a millionaire? There are many ways to get there - investing in the stock market, becoming a stock trader, doing real estate investing, or why not becoming an entrepreneur? But whether you are interested in how to invest in stocks or investing strategies for creating passive income with rental properties - I hope to be able to provide you with a solution (or at least an idea) here. Warren Buffett - the greatest investor of our time - says that you should fill your mind with competing ideas and then see what makes sense to you. This channel is about filling your mind with those ideas. And in the process - upgrading your money-making toolbox.

Started late. 45 years old. better late than never though.
james sutcliffe you still have 65 years to go, health care is better and better with 65 years you will feel like a 55 today: brand new. Check out my videos as well if you look for good vakue
You still got 20 years if you plan to retire by 65, if you invest properly you will be well in if you want to retire by the average age of 65, you can retire later or earlier all up to you and where you are and if you are satisfied
Never too late! What counts, you got started.
Bro buy real state and retire reach trust me
Can anyone suggest any books so I can understand this channel ?
it took me 28 years to read my first ever book, and the last 13 months ive read 18 books now
Awesome man, keep it up!
How do you only have 56k subscribers. This is the most under-rated channel on RUclips!
Yeah, I love this channel too. :) :) :)
BeaverOwl it is really good! Check out my videos as well if you are interested in this niche
Indeed!
Yes, one of my favourite channels too, give it time...
Because most people are poor minded...
I started investing at 38 and only had to work 18 more years, retiring at 56. I would recommend, however, that your listeners start as early as possible.
Steven Oliver amazing. Share my story, at least in my community!
Sir I’m lucky to find him 2 years ago. I’m 26 now hope to have a long runway and correct my mistakes I made 20-25 years old.
Reading this in 2020. I just started investing at 34. Hope to be aggressive and smart with a dividend portfolio to live off of within 10 years. Thanks for your inspiring comment!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
5his is 2021 and I started investing @ 32
@@Nullpunkt420 I've been doing business since 16, I've been losing hard, now doing it smart I'm 22
Hey man, just happen to be on a rewatch spree, and id like to thank you greatly for making this literature SOOOO accessible. It has been of immense value to me, as you're the first finance youtube channel i started following in January when i randomly got interested in the stock market x) its safe to say youve earned me a pretty penny. Thank you again, and please keep doing what youre doing :)
I'm happy that you enjoy the content deadlysoul007! Hope that I'll be able to keep providing you with more helpful videos in the future!
I started at 27. (I'm still 27)
My only regret on this falling market is that I didn't start when I was 18.
Other than that, this is the best buying opportunity in years! Best of luck to everyone!
don't worry this bearish market brought you to almost the same index as you would had when you were 18
so cherish and invest wisely, so that you can grab the oppurtunity.
How's it going for you? I hope you bought more for cheap.
Man, this RUclips Channel is such a win win for you, while providing actual value to others. Much respect.
Thank you for your support Dominik Bilinski!
Started early at 11, I’m 13 now. I’ve been watching all of your videos from oldest to newest
Thank you so much. you are such a big help for people who are starting to dive into investing. Big respect to you on making time to do these kind of videos. cheers!
Started early! I turned 18 on aug 22, bought 15 shares of GE, 2 shares of CAT, and a share of Chevron, looking to build a dividend reinvestment portfolio
Henry Kolberg You think GE is going to make a comeback? I’m 18 also, but I’ve heard of massive fraud from them
Alex Griffith not anymore, I sold just before they cut pensions, made about $100
Henry Kolberg buy utx and ir. Both companies are spinning off a lot of good assets. You could get 5 companies from 2
I’m 20, 50k invested from working in high school and uni. All I can say is read, read, read! These videos are good but you gotta reinforce these concepts and practice spending long periods studying.
My biggest advice to you is to avoid individual stocks. Invest in mutual funds. For example etf or index funds. I have an index fund that tracks the S and P 500. Highly suggest doing that. I am 20 years old btw. Just sharing some advice a couple millionaires shared with me. Index funds are low risk high reward investment. But they are long term investments and that is what you want. Make sure you look at the fees for all of your investments even if you don't take my advice and invest in a fun. Oh and continue self educating!! If possible find a mentor in your area that is willing to invest their time into you. The mentors will help open your mind to new possibilities in life.
Started early, still learning. Thank you so much for sharing knowledge. Wish you be a great investor and tearcher on this.
RIP Charlie. This book is a great way to remember him.
Thank you for removing the music.

Nice I’m 20. I urge everyone to read Security Analysis.
@@DanielNyong is that a specific book or you mean read about it in general? sorry for the q lol
Bro, good for you. I've been reading about stocks, trading, and investment for 4 years now. But only seriously started investing in stocks using fundamental analysis a few months ago, at the age of 34. When you're my age you'll be way way more awesome than I am now. I wish I was watching things like this when I was 22, too "busy" watching stupid prank videos then haha.
Started early. Still learning. Nice summary, i've read the book in german. Good Videos on your Channel

Started when I was ~20 and earned enough to get me through uni. In my mid 30s now and could live off of trading alone (but I don't want to). When I started I needed to figure stuff out by myself but now there are many great channels such as this one to get your knowledge from before loosing money. We've come quite far in financial education and I love it.
Great stuff!) Dedication!
U never fail to impress everyday.. great work and effort
Thanks for sharing ‘
Thanks for sharing!
started very early. First stock at 8. Really into the stock market 10. Predicted market crash at 10. Now i am 11 and in the 3 years i have been investing in the stock market i have doubled my money. I knew a lot of important things by myself. I don't really care about what others say about my investment.
Started early , on the day I turned 18. Made 300% return from investment in GME that could have been 1500% if I wasnt young, dumb and greedy. Afterwards , I fell in love with business and understood that coming up with clever ways of coming up with money was something that I was always interested in. Currently I am 19 , studying BBA abroad and learning investing on the side. I love it!
if you invested in GME, don't worry you were dumb when you got the 300% return! remember, if you got a 300% return it could also have gone down 100%, thats the nature of volatility. when you get a x% return, just realize it can happen the opposite way too. don't listen to WSB. they call themselves r tards for a reason. listen to this guy, warren buffet, and Charlie Munger.
i also started on GME, made a little money, and got my ass kicked when i imagined buying a new car with the theoretical 10K profit i'd make. just trying to save you some heartache and time.
STARTED EARLY YESSIRRR

Key Ideas:
Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett’s umbrella holding company, has endured because its stakeholders revere its values and culture.
Shareholders keep their shares for decades though it hasn’t paid dividends since 1967.
Berkshire buys for the long term; it chooses well-run firms in core industries, keeps management in place and stays out of running the business.
Firms it acquires have low debt, exceptional management and strict cost control.
Subsidiaries tend to operate in “rudimentary,” basic businesses - boring beats exciting.
Berkshire’s shared values include thriftiness, hard work, honesty, entrepreneurship and the discipline to stick to a core business.
Berkshire’s headquarters employs only about a dozen people to oversee a $300 billion company with more than 300,000 employees.
Warren Buffett controls “capital allocations” and closely guards Berkshire’s reputation.
Buffett deals directly and ruthlessly with breaches of Berkshire Hathaway’s values.
No one can replace Warren Buffett, but his development and crafting of Berkshire’s culture will enable it to thrive after his tenure.
Instawise thanks for summary - check my vids and sum them up if you like
Don't forget the FED played a major role in boosting Buffet's stocks in times of crisis
I was never able to understand exactly how Warren Buffet end up with so much money. I understand the concept of compounding but did they made all their money from their original investment or from the funds managements fee? I would know more in dept how they made billions.
Started early baby🎉
Started Early!

Yes yes yes
STARTED EARLY!
started at 18 and still learning.
Started at 25. It was only when I was in university that I came to know investing
Are you investing yourself? I would enjoy hearing about strategies that you use yourself. From all the books you have read, what principles did you attach to your own investing?
Good video.
4. Share of Mind Principle: 5/5
Started early!!
Their success is not just huge but also sustainable. They have been able to keep a constant compounding growth of over 26%, doubling their money every 2-3 years. They have stuck to this growth rate for more than 40 yrs. Even with their philanthropic activities they still manage to get it going. Simply the best. Thanks for your amazing content
They underperformed the SP500 during the last decade though.
@@johndoes6706 I agree and I personally wouldn't recommend investing in Berkshire. But if you look at Warren's net worth since his teens it's doubling every 2-3 yrs.
Hi. How does someone double that quickly?
all matched.

Nice video. Berkshire Hathaways' biggest position is cash now (60%) Not good long term but he is getting ready for something in the short term (1-3 years)
