Good video, I'll forgive you for messing up any Docotr Who specific references. But hopefully no one will get confused by you calling the Anomaly cards, Abnormalities.
Hi, could you please tell me when do we have to turn dilemma card from earth and also when does the doctor regenerate please and also why do we need progress tokens please ? Thank you In advance for your answer !
Thanks for watching and for the questions. So for the first one I am not quite sure I understand what you are asking. If it is the round dilemma tiles you would only flip the one you move to after choosing to move to a location. Your second question of when do doctors regenerate. This one only happens when a game effect instructs you to so such as the Time Anomaly card (time of the doctor) or as a fail condition on Dilemma tiles (the master's trap and the brain of morbius) this is not something that will come up very often in the game. Your last question why do we need progress tokens? those are also not used very often in the core game for example if the time anomaly card (the chase) comes up you would use them as part of resolving the challenge. So of these things might come up more in some of the expansions they have for the game which I will have videos on soon. I hope this clears things up for you;)
Do you have to roll the TARDIS die every time, or just if wanting to go to a new location? If I am wanting to visit an already open location, do I need to roll the die (thus risking the TARDIS choosing a new location)?
They give you a little variation and it depends on how much of a fan you are as to which Doctors you are interested in, and gives more Dilemmas, Locations, Companions, etc to add to your decks, so just investigate and see which take your eye!
@@timlemmens1087 I was thinking you might be. One of my friends is as well and loves this game. I am hoping to do a play through video with my team soon showing off some of the expansions.
Ya I noticed I messed up on some of this during editing. Hopefully you still found the video helpful. Did you like the game or have a chance to play it yet?
@@LearntoPlayGames I love the premise, still figuring out how it works. But I don't get many chances to play games with people. But your video helps a bit, I seem to get more out of these videos when watching a group of people play, it would be cool if you could make a video playing with a group of 2 or 4, if its possible.
More or less, please let me know if you have any questions that come up and I can try to help. I just talked with Gale Force Nine today and they will be sending some of the expansions so I will have videos coming from those soon as well.
Great video but please correct your pronunciations: Tar-dis, Dar-Lek, anomaly not abnormality and maybe a few others, which you later apologised for just as I started typing! I look forward to playing it with your initial input! Thanks!
Your welcome and sorry for the pronunciations I know this was going to be an issue for some people and I totally understand why. I have tried being more careful about this in later videos.
@@LearntoPlayGames Yes, easy for me as a 63 year old fan who watched the first Dr Who (William Hartnell) and most of the others through time (Sylvester McCoy was awful in my opinion) but your vid was helpful for some insight before our first couple of games, so thanks again!
Ya I defiantly am not;) Thanks for watching though and hopefully the video was still helpful even if I know nothing about the show;) As for your question I believe that you would just take the next doctor in line that is available. Thanks for watching and for posting.
Thank you for the video, however, I could not finish watching it for the mispronunciation of "TARDIS" (tarderis) and "anomaly" (abnomality), it was just too grating for mine.

Thanks for watching and good catch on the cards I was so focused on everything else I totally messed that up:P
tardaris and deleks :)
odinswolf1969 and Davrose?
This was very clear. Thank you! I finally got it off of my shelf of shame 👍
Ow, I found a recently vewer of this video xd All the comments are from 3 months
Fantastic! one less game on that shelf is great I can't even look at mine;) What's your next game on the shelf?

Great! I'm thinking about getting the expansions. Any insight on those?
Not currently but I will be talking with GF9 about covering them if they are interested. Thanks for watching and for the question.

Do you give yourself two more timey-wimey cards at the start of the next round?
Great video, how often would you say you regenerate in an average game?
I think maybe once per game on average.
Hi I’m know I’m late but why do u place a Dalek marker on a location
I must get my hands on this.
It is a solid game even if you are not a fan of Doctor Who;)
@@LearntoPlayGames Oh, but I am.

@@LearntoPlayGames Very curious.
Ugh, nitpicking here but, it's Tardis not Tartarus...

He's not a fan? BLASPHAMY! Also, if another player is already using the Doctor you need to regenerate to, what happens then?

If one player triggers a regeneration, every player regenates. So during regeneration no one is using the doctor you'll need.

OMG you are killing me with the pronunciations! TARDIS is "tahr'-dis.". Daleks are "dah'-lecks." Other than that good show!
Why does literally every reviewer misprounce things xD
