I love this ! And the fact that you are a witch makes it even better! Blessed be )o( I am learning how to do needle felting and yours is the best video I’ve seen. Thank you ! You are very talented !
I order the walnuts from amazon and then cut them on a scroll saw, or carefully cracked them open. I then use dolls house miniature hinges also from amazon. Very strong glue and masking tape to hold the walnut halves together whilst sticking the hinges on.
Hi! Nice video, I make miniatures just like these but I'm having trouble with the glue I use for the hinge. I want the hinge to be extremely firm. Could you tell me which glue are you using and if it's resistant enough?
I use gorilla crystal clear glue. It is really firm but you need to make the hinge fit the nut really well so sometimes you might need to bend the corners of the hinge a bit to male them fit flush to the nut. A little sanding on the nut where the hinge goes helps too!
You have to tape the two halves of empty shell together so they stay exactly as they should be and then blob the glue carefully on each side so that you get it close enough to the join but not touching it (otherwise you will stick the shell together obviously). then carefully put the hindge (using tweezers perhaps) on to the glue. Leave to dry upright so the hindge doesnt move.
I loved watching your process! Thank you. What a charming piece.
