I got my call the very next day! Worst call of my life. Had to have a breast biopsy and then surgical biopsy. Thank God no Cancer or Cancer cells were found!. It was a very stressful time for me.
I got an email today for a call back. My first ever. Am 54 years old. I also lost my friend and neighbor to breast cancer last week, she was 58. Am a little concerned but not too much, knowing that if worst case scenario it has been detected early, unlike my beautiful neighbor who was diagnosed way too late. Im diligent about keeping my mammogram appointments and these call backs do occur from time to time.
I’ve had 5 mammogram screenings since I turned 40 and I’ve learned that I have dense breast. Density of next to the worst of the dense breast tissue. I’m 49 now. 4 of my 5 mammo screenings have been abnormal so I’ve had to go back for more pictures. Last year I had to return for more pictures and an ultrasound, then 6 months later for another ultra sound. I was fine. No cancer. This year the screening is abnormal again. This time I asked to speak to the radiologist to see if we were going to looking at the same spot as last March. She said no. It’s a different area on the right breast that needs more study and has been compared to previous pictures. I’m concerned about having so many mammos. Most likely it’s not cancer, but they’re going to increase my risk of getting cancer with all of these xrays. I used to be nervous about going back, now I’m a little annoyed about it because it’s a little nerve racking even though the internet says that it’s normal to go back. I’ve found no article on going back over and over and over again. 😩
I had to wait a month for a diagnostic and I had to argue and do my own foot work to get a biopsy sooner than 3 weeks after the diagnostic. Smh. Now I have to wait 2 weeks to get the biopsy results. I'm a nervous wreck.

It was false positive . Mammogram is not correct
50% are false positive . Over testing , treatments cause lots of stress
It's scary when you get a call back because you're think it's not good news & anxiety kicks in & getting panicky all at once!!!

How did it go? Hoping it went well.
Call backs happen because of : asymmetrical density, calcifications, lack of the patient brining in priors.

How did things turn out?
Have you undergone ultrasounds? I have undergone one after my last mammogram.
True! Many mammograms added radiation. That causes breast cancer
It’s always something
So they have works to do and charge your insurance
