Hi Ophelia, found your channel this morning as I was looking for answers to a wonky blanket I made, and saw your very helpful tutorial about turning a granny square so it keeps its shape. I find that a lot of my blankets that I do row by row (as you have done in this one) end up dipping in the middle, I dont know why! I watched this video this afternoon and found it so restful and calming, the music is a wonderful addition. And you explain is a very calm and even manner, just lovely to watch and listen to. Thank you. Will be watching more - very inspiring. x

Anja, I wonder if sometime you might discuss how you decided which colors to put next to each other in the blanket, what goes into making decisions related to colors and crocheting, etc...maybe that could be a Sunday night topic? I'd love to hear about it and I'm sure other crocheters would also. I thought your Harlequin blanket choice of colors were particularly pretty. Thank you!

Hi, I think she is picking a yarn that has a high contrast between the two surrounding colors. Hope that helps.

Finally a granny “row” pattern I understand 😮 I have tried several other patterns but the beginning and end of rows differ so much on each row. I’m working on this right now but with a variegated yarn. Love it!❤

Ma'am, I have been crocheting since I was 10 years old(am now 58) learned how to do this craft at 5 years old by watching my grama for hours at a stretch. You're the first person to explain-with visual aids-how to do a "granny cluster" stitch, AND, it made perfect sense to me! I'm a guy, left handed, I crochet left handedly (backwards left to right)! You lost me at the turning of the stitch. I'm not as advanced as I should be due to "the look" I always get from instructors. Like I'm an alien from planet Zorg! I've not been able to get beyond the standard of single stitch because of the way I got looked at for being backwards. I hesitate to ask you where can I go in contacting someplace to get print-out instructions, with pictures for visual aids in learning some 9 other stitches, so I can advance my skill level finally, after 53 years. Might you be able to direct me to the place to contact for assistance? Doug🥺💔

Hmmmm that's a tricky one Doug, l have several patterns that are available as PDFs on my site, but no specific stitch patterns, most of my tutorials are in video format, have you tried Pinterest?
Good luck in your quest, Anja x

Anna - adore this blanket. What is the difference between Stylecraft Special DK yarn and the Wendy Supreme DK? I love the Special DK except it splits a bit and the skeins most of the time are one big knot trying to find the beginning. But it’s very soft and huge color variety.

Anja, is this basically the same as the "easy scrap blanket" you did a while back? Maybe just a bit different with the borders and such? Trying not to get confused. 😆

I thought I was the only one that made blankets for my cat. Unfortunately, she doesn’t like them. She gets caught up in blankets that aren’t really fine. Oh well. One of these days I’ll find one she likes.

I love your channel. Awesome designs. Love the blanket but I think this blanket would be so much more beautiful in a natural yarn. Acrylic is plastic and doesn't breath so the blanket would be so hot.
