A good story. Sometimes letting on you were adopted to a partner /husband/wife can be difficult. In a way she was protecting Sammy and their childhood property now owned by Sammy. Maybe she feared that if her husband knew about it that he might say something to hus family who may cause trouble for Sammy. She obviously decided a long time ago to protect their childhood home and Sammy so that she did not bring trouble to him. She would leave things up to him. Meantime their time together was all hers.
I dont see anything but loyalty and love for her adoptive brother and her former home. If she didnt want to share Sammy and his farm that was up to her. Her place to go when needed.
I would say that she had had a good understanding of human nature so quite rightly decided to protect her space and time with her adoptive brother. ❤

    Winderful story. Like this story.
I thought right away it was going to be about her cheating by having an affair. Glad it wasn't.

Don't do as I just did.
Despite other viewers blunt warnings I just wasted 15 minutes and 19 seconds of my life.
Watch the first minute and 8 seconds then turn off.
The remainder explains that a mystery man came to the funeral, got the grieving husband to go to an old farmhouse to explain that the mystery man and the bereaved man's wife were not related but were fostered as children to the same foster parents. The fostering family deserted mystery man when he was young but the bereaved's wife secretly looked after him for 35 odd years. No adultery, just care. Nice story but BORING as cat's poop and should have taken 4 to 5 minutes at most.

The "Shack" on his face? The writing quality is VERY LOW. As soon as a character is named Sam or Max, you know it will be shite. And why would this be a secret and who would give a flock? SO STUPID. Why would a foster family abandon a farm? I am not even goito finish it.

Big deal, so the wife had a friend since her foster days, poor Sammy was her friend, she should have married him. Mixed up story, big deal. Sammy never married, had no family, nothing. BS

This story makes no sense at all. Why would the wife not tell her husband about Sammy? It makes me think the relationship was not what the husband had thought it was all those years because if it had been the wife would have involved her husband in the entire relationship with Sammy. By her not doing that it tells me she was doing things with Sammy she believed her husband would not agree with. If that is not the case then I believe this entire story is made up and a phony, and not very well thought out one at that.

Why did husband have to leave wife’s funeral to meet creepy man?
