    Personally, I find it disconcerting that 9 Judges can all read the same Law(s) and arrive at a 5 to 4 split on what that Law means , or can be done under it. There is only ONE way to interpret 2 plus 2 , and the answer will always be 4., and frankly Laws should always be just as clear, and if they are not then that is a problem.

    • @RedRavenNine
      @RedRavenNine 4 месяца назад +1

      Sadly that is where the term "playing politics" comes from. The constitution is pretty clear, but due to the lack of discipline in western society, they had to start tweaking rights for "peace & safety" reasons.
      Also they have allowed so much corruption that going back would cost thousands of jobs etc...
      I've always said they need to sit down and define the constitution clearly, "for modern audiences" so we don't have to wait for court cases to define what is already clearly defined by constantly debated for "peace & safety" and other reasons that are 99% political or agenda based.

    Part of the Fentynal crisis is because of doctors not filling pain meds regardless of your condition. People went to heroin then Fentynal.
    Issue happening now is that pharmacy's won't till opioid scripts with no regard to the patients health care with thier doctor.
    It's hard to watch a chronic pain person go through this.

    • @coolbeanz9145
      @coolbeanz9145 4 месяца назад +1

      It's hard to BE a chronic pain patient during all this. The hoops we have to jump through just to get medication that helps us get through our days somewhat comfortable, is insane. What most people don't realize is there IS a point at which these meds no longer give that "high", but they still control pain. Frankly, these decisions should be made between doc and patient. My biggest problem has always been insurance pharmacists. Know and believe docs have massive hoops to jump through, too. I don't know what the answer to all this is, I wish I did. I just know that all of this has made it difficult for folks with legitimate pain problems and the doctors who want to help.

    I don't understand why when anyone is in the hospital & given med for pain, then why isn't it the docs responsibility to titrate the med prior to being discharged?
    If pain meds needs to be continued when @ home, then why stop the med @ once? During the follow up visit with the doc, why not start to titrate it. This perhaps this will help block the body from craving the med.. I'm not saying that some people don't have a addictive personality. This person needs something to deal with life in general. It can be food, exercise, diet etc. But surely this will help stop the flow of med addiction since they didn't have to go "cold turkey" when med is stopped suddenly. 🤷 Docs should help reduce pain meds prior to releasing the pt.. Am I missing something? I'm a retired nurse & it seems right or wrong to continue with same med upon release. Drop mg. down so body doesn't need to have it to prevent withdraws that are horrible & can be extremely painful. Clean the pt's system.

I want to know where the accountability is for the American Pain Society, the Federation of State Medical Boards, the VA (for TAKE 5, Pain the 5th Vital Sign), the AMA and others who took drug company money to push prescribing to the point of even threatening physician's credentials. This all started after those organizations (who are funded in part by tax breaks/tax dollars) seized on Portenoy's "study" of 38 patients in 1986 (for which he receive drug company funding and later apologized) and pushed this garbage when they knew it was bad -- lining their own pockets along the way.

Or has it just somehow ended up in other people's hands? At some point where do you stop that. Where does it go back to the family are the person that died taking some faults. If you're going to blame people who are just making medicine for use at hospitals or if you've had surgery, why isn't the family of the person dying somehow at fault also? And I've had people in my family sick and OD on it. But I never blamed the people they got it from. Our family did the best we could to get them off of it, and some of them have succeeded to recover. Families do not get get to claim a family member that has a heart attack and sue the coffee maker this is for the lawyers and people wanting cash there is no victim here.

    I can't decide how I feel about our Supreme Court right now , I know I don't like Roberts. 5 -4? Really? Kavanugh, Roberts, Sotomayer, and Kagan all think it is OK for people to be able to use our civil side of justice to shield themselves from personal and potential criminal accountability? I do like the majority seem to focus on separation of powers and who is supposed to be responsible . They continue to set guardrails that constrain one branch of GOVT from overstepping its authority. The owners of companies and their boards (potentially) have a duty to cause no harm. And if they do - they need to be face charges. Bankruptcy courts can't be used to construct deals where some parties who refuse to accept terms are ignored. This is a loophole being used and CONGRESS needs to plug it. (I still get so angry when these loopholes come to light. There are so many attorneys in the HALLs of CONGRESS! WHY of WHY is there so much sloppy construction of laws?!)
    When people die, that falls inside both civil and criminal side of justice and no one should be able to legally construct a civil corporate settlement that bars potential personal civil liability or criminal prosecution.

    Please worship the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, THE LORD GOD and try not to worry too much about the differences between the different religions and denominations, try to think about the similarities and the things they may have in common more than the differences. Daily prayer is a fundamental part that many people do not practice although it is encouraged
    "CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD, I beg you to never force me to worship any false god or object and I ask you for forgiveness for my sins and immorality. Thank you for everything. Amen."
    Please pray this now, pray the words as you read them if you cannot look and remember them 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
