In the last game the perfect story moment was when Kratos went to get the Blades of Chaos from under the house in order to save Atreus. In this game the perfect story section of this game is from when Kratos enters his tent the night before the battle, to when they charge through the gate of Asgard. Just like getting the Blades had the perfect music, dialog, acting, pacing, everything; this time this section of this game was spot on perfect. You literally couldn't do it any better than what Santa Monica Studio did. They are the best video game developer in the business.
Much of this story revolves around different characters' obsessions. Odin is the last person that wants war, because he knows what happens at the end of it. However, his obsession is so intense that he just can't stop, and in his delusion, he's convinced himself that everything he does is justified. Atreus, for much of the game, mirrored Odin's obsession. He _wanted_ Ragnarök because he was obsessed with prophecy, looking through a lens of black and white and believing that all of his own actions were righteous and justified, without truly considering the potential consequences until it was too late. Freya has been completely obsessed with Odin's demise, and to that end has been trying to coerce and convince everyone around her into starting Ragnarök with very little regard for the lives that would be lost. But she isn’t heartless; Freya has already shown the capacity to change, shift perspective, or let go of pain. And then there's Kratos, who has experienced the pain such obsession can bring and has grown from it. Now he is resigned to his misfortune and seeks revenge for Brok. The story is almost over. This has been a great adventure.

Now THAT feels satisfying!🎉 Faye's wisdom, love and kindness is just beautiful and touches the heart every time. I wrote it in the eulogy for my grandfather, who passed away a few months ago at the age of 100. I grieve for him, and so I love him.
Faye: When pyre is spent and you've gathered my ashes spread them from the highest peak in all the realms. You will do this for me. It'll make for a hell of a video game. Trust me.

Yeah, I fully believe that God of War-both 2018 and Ragnarok-has made me better at video games just overall. The fighting style and controls have increased my skills tenfold over the past year of playing both of them.

There was a level cut for time where Surtr’s plan didn’t work and you had to recruit Sinmara anyway. As dark as that would have been, I kinda wish they’d kept that in.
Atreus: “You’ve been in a lot of wars, but did you ever have something like Ragnarok on your side?” Kratos: “Son, the last war I fought in I had five monsters roughly his size, and four of them were bodied in the first ten minutes.”

Ah .. ladies , a little correction regarding the Valkyrie fight.... Atreus was actually doing absolutely NO DAMAGE on his own, BOTH valkyries are actually sharing damage from Kratos regardless of which you attacked, the boy was just distraction for you to deal with the other and what ever damage one took the other will have it to. The only Saving grace for the boy is the execution of both valkyries meaning he really was doing ANYTHING but annoy one of them. Also do you really thing he can actually beat a Valkyrie on his own? NOT A CHANCE ... these are main story Valkyries aka "Budget Valkyries" compared to REAL valkyries from the last game, all he did was beat up a crazy senile old grandma who can't even fight properly and there's the fact he couldn't even lift Thor's daughter's butter knife with those PUNY GOD arms of his....

If you finish Ragnarok, there is a side quest you have to do before you end the video that only pops after Ragnarok.
