    Just ordered one. I've been shooting for 30 years but have never printed in house. I can't wait. I was so hesitant in the past to buy a photo printer but you have me sold on this one.

    I have the Epson ET-8500. So far, all of these tutorials seem to be applicable to my printer. Really learning subject of home printing. Thanks and I just subscribed.

    I've bought one and awaiting it's delivery in a couple of days. I have watched so many printer videos, and yours made me decide. I was looking at the surecolor series, but at the end of the day. I know the ink affordability would be an issue. And when I saw you print on canvas, that made me decide. I'm aware the prints will not last as long, but I love that you coated that watercolor one. It was game changer for sure! Great idea!!! I love that you used unconventional media. I'll be looking for future videos of yours.

    I have the ET7500, I have had an i1 X-rite profile made for my papers and I have to say its brilliant. Even printing black & white, neutral and very acceptable. Colour prints are brilliant. Ink lasts and lasts I use it a lot without any hassle. I print A3 drawings, maps for cycling, hiking, any documents without even thinking about ink.

      I don't see a ET7500--I assume the lower number means a lower price tag. How does it handle cardstock (at least 90 lbs)?

    Mr. Ramírez, i’m guessing there’s nothing like the Qimage utility for the macOS. If you’ve heard of anything, let me know. Thank you so much for your passion and the endless information you bring to us all.

    Hello Jose. Do you still need an OEM SC-P900 printer cartridge in order to test your chip resetter? I recently bought an SC-P900 and would be glad to send you the light grey cartridge when I change it out. Let me know . . .

    • @cheo1949
      @cheo1949  Год назад

      I could reset it but not test it as I don't own one. But....even if you could reset them they can not be refilled as they use a one way ink port. You can not directly inject ink into the internal ink bag. There is an invasive procedure you can perform to allow ink refilling but it is blind and dangerous.

    Saludos Jose desde Puerto Rico. In my ET-8500 I can see the pizza wheels marks using Epson Ultra-Premium Glossy paper. It is a brand-new printer 3 weeks old. I did not see any setting to allow the ink to dry out before the next paper feed. The density setting allow time for the ink to dry but it is just for duplex printing. How are your prints? Can you verify is you have the pizza marks too?

    How does the ET-15000 compares to ET-8550 in terms of color photography?

    • @sirmightymoose
      @sirmightymoose Год назад

      The ET-15000 is only 4 ink tanks while the ET-8550 and ET-8500 have 6 ink tanks. Photos printed should be of higher quality with 6 ink tanks.

    I am assuming that this is a better option to the xp-15000 that you recommended to me a while ago? For someone just starting with home printing which one should I go for?

    • @sirmightymoose
      @sirmightymoose Год назад

      The XP-15000 requires you to make it "chipless" to get full use out of it while the ET-8550 is more economical with 70ml ink bottles. Print quality MAY be slightly better on the XP-15000 - your mileage may vary.

    • @marieta.s
      @marieta.s Год назад

      @@sirmightymoose this is a valid point but in my country the price of the 8550 is double of the xp-15000. Probably in the long term it might be more economical but as someone who is new to printing I don’t know if I’d like to invest so much money. But thanks for your comment, I got some thinking to do.
