This is my first time growing an Amaryllis. The flowers are red and beautiful. Thank you Noelle for all your tips on how to maintain this plant.

This is the best video on how to grow amaryllis that I have seen. Thank you. Does Petitti Garden Centers sell online?

      Thank you!
We do sell online but it’s for local pickup and deliveries only at this time. We are still exploring our options as to how to best service customers outside of the Northeast Ohio area!

i have totally messed up my bulb - what should i do now? I thought it needed water and was watering it every week just like my other house plants i bought it last year at the holidays and it bloomed - i didn't know to leave the leaves on - i thought I needed to cut them off right away. it ended up growing 2 leaves but they fell over and cracked and eventually fell off - so i'm back to a stub but it's probably too wet. should i take the bulb out and make sure it's not rotting and try to replant it ?

Yes, remove the bulb and feel the bottom of it to see if it is firm = viable or squishy = rotten. If the bulb is still firm/viable, you can let it sit on a few paper towels or sheets of newspaper to absorb some of the excess moisture for 24 hours. Repot as instructed in the video, and your Amaryllis should recover well.

My bulb got frozen a bit in the mail. It is growing but the tips of the green leaves look not so nice. Could I cut the dead looking tips off of the long green leaves

Yes, just use a sanitized pair of sharp scissors or shears to remove the damage.
