People aren't shocked that she would do this. People hate the writing in the show past season 5. But season 8 was new depths of trash.
It's not that it happened that made it so bad, it's how it happened that makes it not make sense. "She kinda forgot about the iron fleet" is literally how D&D justified all of their writing from seasons 6-8. The smartest characters suddenly got extremely dumb, the main characters either had god-like plot armor or died just to move plot points. It killed the show
Greyworm supported Daenerys all out for this as it was Missandae's last words. Killing her best friend was the last straw for Cersei to finally meet her demise.
These were the same people who cheered when Ned Stark's head was cut off. I really don't think Danny did anything wrong tbh! The only reason why I Hated season 8 was that Cercie didn't get the death she deserved. She died peacefully in the arms of her lover after destroying everyone's life.
And y'all getting mad at Danny for snapping after everything was stolen from her. Whereas Cercie burned down the Sept tower with thousands of people in it and outside it, no one is complaining about this.

Sadly public executions were always cheered for no matter the supposed crime. It was spectator entertainment. These same people threw things at Cerci during her walk of atonement. They just enjoy punishment of others it seems.

Well, you can't blame Varys. He saw how she was turning into someone with God complex. The more power she gained, the more righteous she became. Sansa also has a reason to distrust her. How many of her family members died because of a Targaryen ruler? And, Dany never really deserved to inherit the throne just because she has dragons. Jon was her older brother's only son. An older brother who was heir to the throne. By law and precedent, Jon is the heir. But, she wants the throne for herself.
Even the strongest back will break under enough weight. Somewhere in grief and betrayal, it became too much and she snapped
D&D made a lot of mistakes during season 8 but Daenerys ascend to madness wasn't one of them, can't say the same for Jon and Bran though

Dany wasn’t seen as a monster suddenly. She was seen as a monster and mad queen when she abruptly decided to genocide half a million people that did nothing wrong.
The hypocrisy is so real. I've seen so many people cheering on Cersei, saying how they were so glad she got her revenge on the High Septon and the Sand Snakes and whoever else. But here is everyone, giving Daenerys crap after killing how many people and destroying King's Landing after all that Cersei did to her.
The biggest difference is that while both are truly evil, Cersi was coldly calculating and thought out her actions in order to stay ahead of the game. That means she was willing to sacrifice innocents for her own ambitions. While Daenerys actions were a moment of true maddness and were only to hurt and destroy. Again, in the end, neither of them were good or right. Both types you dont want to be in the crosshairs of. Both are equally unpredictable and cruel.

Just realised Cersei won the Game of Thrones. What do you do with an invincible enemy? Take them down with you. Missandei's execution achieved its aim: Tipping Daenerys over the edge. She became the Mad queen and her fate from then on was sealed. Cersei knew she couldn't win - and like the Hound with his brother - she resolved to take her enemy down with her.

Completely disagree. Tyrions own foolishness and tendency to try and play both sides? He definitely had his part in what we are seeing. She couldn't trust him. She had nobody left but grey worm and he was as rage filled as she was. Jon still had a family. She had lost everything but drogon. And he's a dragon so her last ties to humanity were lost the second missandei was murdered.
Funny thing in the first season we learn the mad king says burn them all and in the last season one of his family members pretty much burns them all

Плюс, помимо взрослых и детей лет 12 там также были совсем малютки, которые даже ещё из дома толком не выходили, не говоря про просмотр казней.

Even the "Mad" King waited until the enemy was at his doorstep before deciding to burn it all down as a last result. Danerys already won and the enemy was ready to surrender. She became exponentially MORE Mad in a fraction of the time which made zero sense and why many fans were ticked off.
