Nice review! 46 year old scratch golfer here as well, just picked up a 9* max 10k with ping tour chrome stiff. Very impressed with the forgiveness. Have only hit it inside on trackman, and the numbers are very consistent. I have been playing the tsi3 in a 9* head for the past couple years. I seem to spin the 10k around 2700-2800 so for me it is a little spinny. I have a swing speed of 100-105 depending on the day, and a pretty level 0* angle of attack. My tsi3 is spinning about 2400-2500, but if I want to really bomb one, I can go for a high toe strike that pulls that spin down to 2000 or even less. That is one of the good and bad things with the 10k, strike location doesn't seem to affect spin much at all. Low strikes, high strikes, even high toe still spin the same. Even a low heel strike won't spin up that much. Dispersion is pretty ridiculous, quite straight. Need to do some more testing, might be leaning towards going with the LST head to pull that spin down and get some more yards, but man this 10k is pretty fun, almost on autopilot, a real fairway finder. Typical good stuff from Ping.
Yeah totally agree Nigel, The 10ks real USP is the forgiveness on all strikes. I have found if I get a centre high face strike then I get more of a lower spin knuckle ball but its still not as low as other drivers. For me though the foregiveness is the most important.
I bought this last weekend and have one round under my belt. Hit so many more fairways than normal... thing is a cheat code. Best driver I have played, and I have played quite a few ha
Thanks for braving the cold to share your review! Snow on the ground here in the New York, but looking froward to playing golf and will try the 10K. Cheers
Thanks for the comment and support Mark. Got another couple of vids coming on the Ping G430 10k driver , 1st one later today. I certainly would advise giving it a test from my experience.
Best of luck with the new addition Craig, whatever gives you confidence 👍 A friend of mines bought this club last week and is astonished at the results, so there's definitely something going on with it. Ive played Titleist for a few years and just love it, it would take a remarkable driver for me to change.
Got this last week after testing against my current G425, the Qi10 Max and Smoke. I did prefer the sound and feel of the QI10, but the Ping outperformed it for me. Still TBD how much more forgiving it is than my G425, but after one round in muddy cold weather too it seems to be slightly ahead. Looking forward to you testing the G425 and 10k head to head.
@@ScratchAt50 yeah Debi loves hers, Ian tried it and even with a 50g shaft in it loved it and got one himself...I changed a couple of his old shafts to the PING adapter from his old driver and he's away, loves it with a shaft he knows and can trust. Agreed, Debi loves the sound of hers too. I think its definitely a love it or hate it acoustic experience 😉
@@ScratchAt50You can't get the head from 10,5 to 10, with Ping's own adpter. It adjusts +-1 or +-1,5. So if you have it 1 notch down, it's a 9,5° now.
I,ve given up on drivers because of occasional snap hooks ruining my round , do you think this club could help ? would it reduce snap hooks to draws ? Thanks.
Got fitted myself last week. Just night and day difference compared to every other driver. My current problem is a block to the right, no driver will fix that but at least with this it was arrow straight and no drop in performance. Square the club face better and it is money.
I’ve had this club in play for a month. Distinctly unimpressed with the distance. Forgiving yes, long no. Probably 10 yards short of my Titleist TSi2. I’ll just hit a nice draw… said no one with a Ping G430 10k Max 🤪 I wonder if I should’ve got the normal 430 max 🤔

I have the 430 LST it is as forgiving as anything I’ve hit. Check it out. Smaller head looks very appealing. 440cc

My 1st impressions are also very positive Kyle. Ping make great drivers

Good to see you playing and for sure you have muscled up over the winter. Good for you!
Cheers man, Yes feel so much better but golf swing feels different.
Will suss it out before getting out to Florida in 5 weeks

To be fair I think all the big manufacturers drivers are great so it comes down to brand loyalty a lot of the time.
I have had a lot of Ping Drivers
Great video first time on your channel
Thanks for taking time to comment
Good to see you back playing.
Cheers Jeff, Slowly ramp it up now with 5 weeks till i go to Florida
Good to see you back out
Thanks Carl

Im now planning to do the comparison videos in American warm sunny weather in a couple of weeks Steve
Could you please do a G425 Max vs G430 10k? Maybe on the course and maybe on a launch monitor?
I already had that in mind and will try and film it this week.
Thanks for the comment
Debi has the G425 Max too and its a tremendous bit of kit for her.
Best of luck with the 10K for you Craig 🤞🤞🤞
Ping Drivers are great Kent...

Of all the drivers I have used this one is the most anti left I have used.
A snap hook will snap hook regardless but it defo has a right bias

So many people saying the same thing Darryn.
Cant wait to get out to Florida and really put it through its paces.
Where are you playing in Florida?
Hi Chris
Im playing some courses in Jupiter.
Go out every spring to see my brother who caddies down there in the winter.
Pink or white castle tee???
Sorry Cant help with that one as I dont use them.
@@ScratchAt50 I've got the G430 10K and it's first outing is tomorrow so will have to try slightly lower tee and see how it goes

you must have lots of club just lying around if you refresh your bag every year,
Ha that would be nice but
No just refresh one or two clubs per year.
Last year it was wedges.
This year it's probably just the driver
