  • The Kiwi Ears Quintet is a unique iem that offers exceptional detail and spacial accuracy, for almost any kind of music. Not your everyday iem perhaps, but an iem for those times when you want to get lost in the detail.

    What a gem of a piece of information ... I've watched hundreds of IEM reviews and not once ever heard: "It's not just a matter of seal, it's a matter of getting the right distance from the ear drum"... that never occurred to me before on fitting proper tips. Nice Stephen.

    Just received mine, and I'm in love with them. My first multi driver set, and the level of detail I'm hearing has changed the way I hear music forever. Songs I would listen to have completely changed and it has me with goosebumps, I absolutely love these and fell in love with the sound signature due to owning the kiwi cadenza's before, which sound quite similar. Thanks for the video Stephen!

    Great review Stephen. My Quintet is finally arriving this week. I, for one, enjoy your discussion of songs and the IEM's performance on each. I have added many of your review tracks to my list

    Hello Sir, thank you very much for your review. I am currently evaluating several options, including the Kiwi Ears Quintet, LETSHUOER x GIZAUDIO GALILEO, ThieAudio Legacy 4, and Sennheiser IE 200. My primary interest lies in the clarity and detail of the music and instruments. Could you please provide your recommendation? Thank you in advance!

    • @StephenIngraham
      @StephenIngraham  3 месяца назад +1

      I have not heard the Legacy 4 or the IE 200. Between the Quintet and the Gallieo, the Quintet for detail and clarity wins by a large margin. :)

    Thanks for the great review! Would you say the Quintets are a worthwhile upgrade from the S12 pros or is the difference not so dramatic?

    • @StephenIngraham
      @StephenIngraham  5 месяцев назад +2

      Totally different iems. The S12 pros are very planar…quick, fast, and a bit flat. The Quintets are 3 dimensional almost to a fault. Not as coherent but much more dynamic.

    Hello Stephen, thanks for the fantastic review. Would you say they pair well for rock/metal music or would they be too bright for that sorta thing?

    • @StephenIngraham
      @StephenIngraham  9 месяцев назад +2

      Others who have reviewed them are more into rock and metal and seem to think they are fine. They are not as bright as, say, the Pheonixcall, and they certainly are not harsh in any way. :)

      @@StephenIngraham Thanks for the response. I'm really debating on whether to the Quintets or the Aful Performer 5, I know I can't really go wrong either way but there are so many reviews out there with so many different opinions it's hard to make a decision.

      @@TDDPhotoHi. As a result, which headphones did you buy? Quintet is coming to me soon, I also prefer complex rock and metal music, for example metalcore, prog metal, deathcore. Two reviewers told me that they are also perfect for such genres.

      @@AndrewCoreS777 I bought the Quintet and they're absolutely wonderful! I've been using them daily for nearly 3 months and they work fantastic for whatever genre you throw at them. The bass is punchy but it never gets overbearing

      @@StephenIngraham I was able to test the Quintet today and I got to say that they are really good BUT.... when it comes about pure enjoyment factor the Cadenza trumps the Quintet. I know I have asked it already once, but I would like to ask you again, whenever you get the chance please review the Cadenza. I would love to know your opinion on it.

    Thanks for the great review. Recently got the EM6L and just saw your video about it. We seem to have quite a few similarities in listening preferences. This could be very valuable for me in the future. Would you mind sharing info about the cable you are using on the quintet in this video. It looks very nice.

    would you say the extra money for the P8 is worth it over the Quintet?

    • @StephenIngraham
      @StephenIngraham  Год назад +3

      That is a “too close to call” at the moment. I plan an extended comparison with detailed track examples in the near future. I enjoy them both…and they are subtly different, though both are really strong on detail and imaging. The P8 has a slightly more “immersive” and “engaging” sound. The Quintet is perhaps a tiny bit more analidical. You hear the difference most clearly, as I mentioned, in really complex, dense, tracks…where the Quintet is able to keep the layers separate, while there is some slight blending in the P8s. I would be happy with either, but I enjoy having both. If there was not such a big price difference, it would be an easier call. I do feel the Quintet is priced incorrectly. It should have been at least $300. :)

    • @StephenIngraham
      @StephenIngraham  Год назад +2

      I should also say that I was wrong in my original reviews of both iems. They have become my daily listen iems. I sometimes use the Quartet while exercising, but for just listening to music I find myself switching back and forth between the P8 and the Quintet. :)
