Thanks for support as always. Mega5p is quite laid back if compare to this. 5P bass quite linear too and lack the detail retrieval of this. Soundstage both are equally good. But timbre wise, mega5p edges out the Quintet.
Love my Cadenza and the Quintet looks to have almost exact chart. Super temping to try the Quintet. I mainly own a bunch of headphones, and the Cadenza sounds very similar to my fav pair of M1570.
Hello, a question. I hope I don't bother you. Can you tell me what the differences are between the KiwiEars Quintet and the ThieAudio Hype2? I don't know which one to buy or if there is a clearly better option below €400. All the best
Hi there. Biggest difference is the way they present sound. Hype2 is more natural, while Quintet sounded a bit artificial. Quintet has better technicalities, but Hype2 has that smoothness. Depends on tour preference. Wont go too wrong with any of these.
Hi Jordan, another nice review man, thank you for sharing! Would you please share your impressions comparing these with the tea 2? It seems that detail retrieval is better on the Quintet, is that so? Soundstage wise which would you say had the upper hand? Good weekend!
Yo... I think this has wayyyy more detail than the tea2. Tea 2 is bit laid back (which i don't mind). Soundstage i think Quintet has the upper hand too. But if u want long listening experience, then tea2 will do u wonders. If you want more excitement and details, Quintet the one to go.
Should i buy this one or aful p5? I like bass (but not crazy about it) n doesn't like high frequency sound that harsh or stabing my ears They said that sound stage is better in quintet for gaming Help😂
You mentioned that this IEM is not that good for JPOP. What would you recommend under $300 for music and gaming? For music, I only listen to Anime songs/JPOP/JROCK/VN songs, and I mainly play Genshin Impact, HSR, and FPS games from time to time. I used a moondrop aria and ordered a Hbb pr2 to test planar drivers(I will mod if I receive the V2). I'm using a little DAC/amp (topping dx1).
U know wat. We have the same exact hobby.. haha.. Jpop Jrock Genshin HSR FPS.. for 300dollar.. I will highly recommend Xenn Tea 2, alot may say its slightly dark, but i don't find it bothersome. Bass is decent, better than others in the competition in fact. Vocal is forward enough for your Lisa, Aimer to shine. Definitely not harsh in any way. And good looking too. Orrrrrr... I was using Oxygen for JPOP for few years, until all these came out, still very JPOP compatible. Is a Aria upgrade 3 times kinda feeling. U will love it if u appreciate your Aria.
@jordanng5428 I noticed that as well ever since you reviewed the orchestra lite. I'll wait for the moon drop Blessing 3 dusks review, then decide between Blessing 3 dusks and xenn tea 2. Thanks for the recommendation.

Like for classical and fps gaming hip hop ?. And if u try the aful p8 how it will compare with it as they say it's the best under 400$ . Sorry for making it long .
If i were to pick among p5 and b3 and this.. i will take this no brainer. (I have sold p5 b3) hahahaha. Timber is a preference thing.. i okay with the timbre, my friends dont like it. It does well on instruments, i bet should be good for classical. Good tactile bass with detail, good for your genre too. Dont think this will be best under 400 eh. Lots of big shark around, Tea2 , Canon OG, Lokahi, EST112, FD5. Unlimited good stuff under 400. Bit hard for Quintet to claim the throne. But Quartet can.. for 100 dollar price point. Hahaha
I dont have any sibilance issue here. Metallic timbre together with this set's own timbre, depends on your acceptance of it. I'm totally fine with my library. Harshness? This is the least harsh iem with planar to me, second is Hook X.. haha
I dont quite think so. I mayyyyy go with something more neutral. Havent try whole bunch of neutral iem at this price point. Studio 4 is good, Blessing 3 too since you are not into enjoyment. Ucotech ua2 has good neutrality and details too.
Not the biggest fan of S12pro.. use it for JPOP is suicide. Quintet is not too suitable for JPOP either, but at least, Quintet can be listen for a longer period of time. Slightly less fatiguing.
@@wellykuo4590 i think heyday might sounded slightly more technical.. due the cleaner, leaner bass presentation. But for enjoyment + technical all-rounder, Quintet is better.

You're right about Kiwi Ears doing so well, lately. I have the Cadenza and Quartets, and the Quintets are on order.

Orc has better imaging and seperation. Both excel in instruments, but Quintet has wayyyy better bass and speed.
