Anyone who has taken a tour of a battleship knows that those citadel inner bridges are super hard to see out of, but, they are crazy thick with armour.
In stormworks, military creations rarely up to the task their real counterparts do. To be fair, most of those that fail are supposed to be manned by at least dozens of people, but stromworks does have ways to work around it.
I wish it was an 80's Iowa. That had missiles. And these fought in the 1991 Gulf war, and used the pioneer drone to spot Iraqi ground targets at which the USS New Jersey would then shell. A 90's Iowa class battleship would be way less laggy in game too. And it was said that the captains of the Iowa's when leaving the ship after decommissioning would say, "Rest well, but sleep lightly." So there's still and chance the Iowas will sail again. There's no other ship anywhere that can do what they do.
Technically you'd want someone else like Endo (maybe [I question his piloting skills from the videos of yours he's been in] or Camodo.....) in the plane circling around and relaying to you the distance of your main battery shots. Like if it's short or long, too the left or right. The spotter in the crows nest of the ship only had a slightly elevated perspective from the bridge in comparison. A spotter plane would relay things like the shots being short by 650 meters and to the right by 3 degrees; and the ship would adjust accordingly. All a ship spotter could do would be able to gauge about as well as you did in, "it's just/way long/short and right on/left of/right of target." Maybe take this out again with a spotter pilot and see if you can't zero in your shots?
What is a good seed for this to run smooth on an Intel Core I5? (I have a iowa class too but it doesn't do the weird thing that happened to you with Infinite fuel/electricity on also idk if this is true or not but I think the reason it's blowing up is cause you have engine over heating on
He probably meant the fire control room. For the sake of the game and creation, it's been repurposed into an all guns control room, but it's essentially doing the same thing. The fire control room got data from radar or visual data and then you had sailors sitting there calculating trajectories and angles needed to land shells roughly in areas. Now a days, computers do all of that faster, but back in the day it was a group of people mathing it all out. But I said they're essentially doing the same thing in the sense that whatever angles and coordinates the fire control room got, they relayed that to the individual turrets (for the Iowa there'd be a lot of people calculating for each gun on each turret plus the secondaries up to the point when an experimental fully computer controlled system took over those) for them to then adjust and act base on those accordingly. That's pretty much, in a sense, the fire control room controlling the turrets, just like it does in this creation. It's just that Frantic has computers at his disposal instead of some few hundred sailors running everything for him.
It is a shame that someone put all that time into that creation and it requires at least 10 people to run effectively yet if you tried using it in multiplayer to have those 10 people use it, the game would either crash, or everything would be at 0.00001 FPS.

“How much armor do you want” US navy “yes”

I am amazed by the level of detail people put in there creations
I’ve seen scrap mechanic artillery guns that look almost identical to the real life counterparts

I remember being next to the dock in LA where the Iowa is moored and being surprised at the giant battleship. I had no idea it was there.
New title should be single heli takes entire battle ship
Iowa the Germans a few dozen rounds of high explosive Antonio - the one crewmate from Boston
Frantic nice biulding in stormworks hardcore
Any plans for doing the USS Arizona BB-39?

This ship is soo cool! Frantic never give up u make theb bets videos ever!!
This looks so cool. Gotta love the Iowa
This looks so cool. I love your videos Frantic!
Nice video
Edit:I am not even finished with watching but its yet already realy good
fun fact:during the Korean war a 105mm battery fired at this ship and believe it or not that hill was not seen again.
what seed did he use
Anyone know what the song at the beginning of the vid is
The "Main Battery Room" is in the 16" Turrets
BOOM battery, not zap battery :)
